Hi Gene,
Kept by his true Father and brought up with firm discipline.
Perfectly subject to the Law He was made clean by the washing of the Word.
Heb 12.1-9
February 12, 2018 at 2:59 pm#821224GeneBalthropParticipantNick….Yes i believe Jesus was displind by the laws of God, and his human parents. But even like us he still lacked the ability to direct his steps, “for it is not within a man to direct his stepts”, untill he and we recieved the spirit of God, when God the Father puts his laws in his inward parts, as he does us also. Exactly what had to happen to Jesus has to happen to us also. We are brothers and sisters of him, in the family of God “our” Father. Jesus is the “first born son” in the family, and has that position for ever.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene

And all priests are taken from among men, then anointed and appointed.
Hi Nick,
Are you suggesting Jesus was not appointed from his inception?

Ed JFebruary 12, 2018 at 4:42 pm#821227NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Did you confuse preordaining with anointing and appointing?
February 12, 2018 at 4:45 pm#821228NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
You say INCEPTION.
Do you mean CONCEPTION?
.
February 12, 2018 at 8:47 pm#821229Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
I meant what I said
____________

Ed JFebruary 12, 2018 at 9:42 pm#821230NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Do you deny his life began with his conception?
February 13, 2018 at 3:00 pm#821232NickHassanParticipantHi,
Hebrews 7 speaks of Melchizedek being like the Son of God having no beginning or end of life.
Of course Jesus had a beginning of life in Mary and his life, according to the flesh, ended in his death on Calvary.
So this refers to the anointing Spirit of Christ. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Now the Lord is the Spirit
February 14, 2018 at 7:48 am#821233NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
John the Baptist was conceived in Elizabeth just as all men begin life.
The same word is used for the conception of Jesus in Mary.
But you doubt he was conceived?
February 14, 2018 at 10:27 am#821235GeneBalthropParticipantNiCk….I THINK HEB WAS REFERING TO THE FACT MELCHIZEDEK JUST DID NOT HAVE A RECORDED HISTORY FOR US TO KNOW HIS TIME OF EXISTENCE. No “known” beginning or ending of days is recorded. I really dont think it saying he always existed. He was called a man, so that should imply a begining of existence, but perhaps just not recorded.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene
February 14, 2018 at 12:24 pm#821237NickHassanParticipantHi Gene,
Yes I agree about Melchizedek.
Clever use of unrecorded facts.
February 20, 2018 at 8:34 am#821259NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Jesus was conceived.
God and Mary contributed to his being.
Does this fact appear in the teachings you present?
February 20, 2018 at 7:34 pm#821261NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
I understand you teach that all men preexist.
Is this true?
February 25, 2018 at 12:05 pm#821297Ed JParticipantHi Ed,
I understand you teach that all men preexist.
Is this true?
Hi Nick,
No, I don’t teach that, but merely consider
that the bible may be teaching that.____________

Ed JFebruary 25, 2018 at 3:46 pm#821298NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
In the preexistence thread you said
”Yes we all preexisted our physical flesh”
I too have let God change my mind on a few things.
February 25, 2018 at 10:10 pm#821299Ed JParticipantHi Ed,
In the preexistence thread you said
”Yes we all preexisted our physical flesh”
I too have let God change my mind on a few things.
Hi Nick,
It’s not that my belief has changed, but instead
that there isn’t sufficient proof to convince you._______________
God bless
Ed JFebruary 26, 2018 at 6:29 am#821303NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Yes.
Test hall things and hold fast to what is good.
But be prepared to cast aside as rubbish what cannot meet the scriptural standards.
February 26, 2018 at 7:44 am#821305NickHassanParticipantHi,
Test ALL things.
