ParticipantHi T,
Spiritual things do not make sense to the unspiritual.
get me that scripture please if you can ?
I can:
“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?
even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” (1 Cor 2:11)____________
God bless

that is not the scripture ;for it talks about who’s know what ;the things of man by man ;but the things of God are known only by God
this is not what Kerwin said ;
scriptures says that a man with a carnal view cannot understand the things of God for the things of God are given through the spirit
many people could be spiritual but it would not mean that they are with the true God ,
there are many wisdoms ,but it is the one of God the creator that i care about ,

I assume you mean Nick but you already aware there is a passages to that effect because I have heard you quote at least one of them.
1 Corinthians 2:14 is the specific area of Scripture he is referencing.

In reply #812820 you said “no” when I believe you meant “yes” as terrarica did quote a passage that spoke of carnal wisdom and Spiritual wisdom.

ParticipantGene,
I had not said anything one way or another but I do agree with his words on that subject.
I am not how it benefits anyone to mention at this time.
We all need to watch ourselves that we not be carnal minded but instead are Spiritual minded. That is something even the least mature Christian should know.

ParticipantHi t,
Why do you teach on 1 Cor 2 when it is obvious to all you do not understand it?”

1Co 2:13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
please get your understanding right first

Hi t,
Why do you teach on 1 Cor 2 when it is obvious to all you do not understand it?”
==================================================================================
1Co 2:12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
1Co 2:13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
1Co 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment:
1Co 2:16 “For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?”it seem clear that you don’t understand truth coming from God only your own

Those words do not disagree with anything I said.

ParticipantKerwin
yes that is true but the words you say by themselves are useless for they can be applied to anything at all ,
so if you going to speak the truth of God be then sure you make sure it cannot be applied any other way

ParticipantHi,
Only if you do not understand that the Spirit spoke through Jesus Christ
would you need to consider possibilities such as a man preexisting his life on earth

Jesus spoke with his father but when was that ? please with scriptures no opinions
April 30, 2016 at 10:12 am#813020NickHassan
ParticipantHi T,
Yes the Spirit of the Son worships and serves the Father.
He spoke the words his Father gave him as John taught.
Was there much that Jesus said that came from himself?
