Hi MB,
Moses died.
Yet there seemed no difference between him and Elijah on the mountain with Jesus.May 1, 2012 at 10:56 pm#295975mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ April 30 2012,20:52) Hi MB,
Which of the three heavens?
Can you prove it was God's abode?
What difference does it make, Nick? If the question is “Do men ever go to heaven?”, then the answer is still “YES” – no matter WHICH of the three heavens they go to.And in the case of the souls under the altar in Revelation, it is clear that this altar is “before God” (9:13) and “before the throne” (8:3). So YES, these ex-human beings exist in God's abode.

So you say.May 1, 2012 at 11:03 pm#295978NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
So when we meet the Lord in the air we have gone to your heaven? The myth is that the final resting place of men is either heaven or hell and that they bypass judgement and go there at death. They judge themselves and mostly feel they are on the right side. A bit like the santa claus one.

Are you suggesting the heaven of God is in the visible universe?
Nick,I am suggesting that the visible universe is the sky and not the heavens created previous to the earth.
The hypothesis that the sky and outer space do not hold up when tested by Scripture,

Nick,I agree! God created his home first. But seeing as there is only one visible heaven it would mean there are at least two unseen heavens; possibly more.

Mike…………It depends on what you are calling Heaven. Sky or GODS abode. God said he separated the heavens form the heaven above and the heaven below. Or haven't you read?Gen1:6….> And God said , Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7, And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament “HEAVEN”. and it was so.
So now what is Heaven according to GOD (the firmament). Or better known as the SKY. Now Notice also, verse 20, God made the Fowls to fly in the “OPEN” Firmament of HEAVEN also in verse God set Lights in the Firmament of Heaven . So basically the Sky is heaven or anything above the earth . No where does it say it is only GODS abode, or place of existences as some assume.
God is SPIRIT and Lives vicariously (IN) and Through His creation , or don't you know, your bodies “ARE” he temples of the Living GOD, lest you be a reprobate. God was truly (IN) Jesus.
Peace and love to you all……………………………….gene

Figuring stuff out that is not written has been the curse of churchianity.
Nick,Luke 24:45

Acts 8
King James Version (KJV)30And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.May 2, 2012 at 9:31 pm#296090NickHassanParticipantHi KW,

I don't agree with that myth either, Nick. My understanding is that virtually every human who has ever walked the face of the earth goes to Sheol when they die.But scripturally, there are some exceptions – and Jesus points to more exceptions in Matthew 16:28, etc.
Why you think those exceptions went anywhere except for up to God is beyond me. Why would God keep His servant from Sheol just to have him floating around in the sky for thousands of years?
If you put your headstrong will aside for a moment and consider that those in Revelation were taken up the the heaven that is God's abode, then it isn't too far of a stretch of imagination to assume that's also where God took Enoch and Elijah.
Nick, I've said my piece on this subject, and have shown the scriptures that cause me to understand it the way I do. It's okay with me if you disagree.
