But your KNOWLEDGE, like that of the GNOSTICS, does not have a basis in scripture.
So how can you boast when you do not even go to the true source of knowledge?

Nick……THE WORD GOD describes a relationship, with something, the LORD (YEHWEH ) IS OUR GOD, (the “power” we “trust” and “lean” on”). Love is an atribute of the LORD, WHO IS OUR GOD, THAT ATRIBUTE OF THE MIND (INTELLECT), WHICH IS SPIRIT, WHICH CAN BE SHED AROUND “IN” OUR HEARTS ALSO, Causing us to think like THE LORD, WHO IS OUR GOD.

Nick……yes he can transform us by the renewing of our minds, AS PROCESS OF THE “INTELLECT” , MAKING US A NEW “CREATION”, IT’S ALL DONE THROUGHT our thinking processes, the thinking changes firist and then the heart follows. It is all the work ofrenewing of the “MIND”, OUR THINKING WHICH IS OUR “INTELLECTS”.

The natural mind is a stubborn bastion of false knowledge

Are there gene? Miracles “just as there was in the days of long ago”?
Today when a Christian helps feed the poor, he might pray or give money, but we don’t see fish and bread appearing almost as if by magic.
When Jesus healed someone they immediately were well. Today sometimes they get better and we might as they lacked faith if they don’t get better. But the body tends to heal itself anyway. And the restoring sight to the (partially) blind or hearing to the (partially) deaf, that we see on stage, these are deceptions caused by not understanding thepat the person caws never actually totally blind or deaf. They fill out prayer cards before hand describing their condition. These ones are pulled onto the stage where the magic happens.A ton of the miracles that seem to happen today are things that could have happened anyway, even if the odds were slim. People don’t seem to understand that if something has a 1 in 1 million chance of happening, then that thing happening isn’t a miracle. That 1 in a million thing will happen 7000 times a day given the 7 billion people. Yet, wen these things personally happen to us, they imprint strongly on the brain and the brain makes a meaningful story out of what might just be coimcidence or rare events.
Miia, I have only ever focused on today, and the “miracles” of today. My first couple posts explain that it is the here and now that I am concerned with.
I have had small miracles happen in my life. I thank God for them.
I haven’t fed a crowd with 5 loaves and 2 fishes though.
But Peter walked in water for a bit, until his natural mind took over. Still he did something, but he was with Christ,
I just don’t think people have that kind of faith to be honest. But if they did, these sorts of things can happen and they actually do happen, but rarely.
After all you read about miracles that happened in the Bible, and do not hear about the other times when there were none.
You don’t see them everyday and hardly ever in one’s lifetime. But we are talking about people here.
David, not everything is on stage.
Had a neighbor once (about ten houses down), and every night almost he yelled and shouted, kids screaming, wife crying, police, ambulances. One night (I do not know them) i had had enough, and I felt for his family, and felt fearful. I felt the spirit come on me and I prayed to stop – and it stopped, and it never started again, and I saw that man thereafter, normal. Peaceful, happy. His family at peace. No more ambulances, no more police, and I knew that moment God had healed him, and I also knew someone or somehow God would reach him personally, and touch his life – he is saved, and I do believe. More?
Autistic kid, in classroom. Five years old. Making noises, restless, walking around, I felt the power of God come on me, and tears in my eyes, I prayed for him to be healed. He came and sat on my feet. I was told he would be as a newborn babe, and he was healed. I see him now, sun shining through him, holding his dad’s hand, normal, happy, playing, sociable. I praise God, ad I know He will reach them all.
More… no, not to write here.
But of course all these things are far too personal for the internet, and skeptics, but for those who believe…
