ookk AND?December 21, 2010 at 9:05 pm#231290Ed JParticipantQuote (SimplyForgiven @ Dec. 22 2010,06:24) WJ, Quote For those who find the seeming contradiction of God being Father and Son, in Heaven and on earth simultaneously, an insurmountable one, consider some of the contradictions of your own position, which demonstrate the weakness of your logical arguments against this truth. Earlier I quoted where Jesus told Philip that those who have seen Him have seen the Father. Question:
If the Son is not the Father, how then can Jesus say they have seen the Father by seeing the Son? What would be the point of seeing the Father then? Or is it that none born of God will ever see their own Father?Jesus says that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. He also says,“He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father” (John 14:12 MKJV).
Question: How can He go to His Father if, as He said, “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me”? Is He not already there?

Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?Colossians 2:8 NIV
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.Good enough?

Mike and EJ, this wasnt a literal “where does it say in the scriptures” instead i had my own point and intentions for JA who was the orginal person to make HIS comment. thank you.1 Corinthians ch 1 shows how God chose the foolish over the wisdom of the world.
And Francis makes very good points that can be scripturaly proven.
Mike wouldnt Ed J's Math gemteria count as a “hollow” and “deceptive phiosophy”, which “depends on human tradtion (math gemteria)” than to depend on Christ?

Hi SF,Matt.18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more,
that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. So you consider a second “witness” as foolishness?
1Cor.1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews
a “stumbling”(117)block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; That confirmeth the word of his servant(Ed J),

Hi Mike,Consider the “fractal” truth in this verse…
Joshua 23:14 And, behold, this day I going the way of all the earth:
and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing
hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning
you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.“Going the way of all the earth” is a strange phrase meaning death in this case,
but Spiritually speaking, Jesus was then able to fulfill John 14:23 on “Pentecost” day!God bless

I dont believe so. but than again i can ask you the same question, was Jesus lying in what he told philip?
he asked, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
or should we omit that?December 22, 2010 at 6:24 pm#231309Ed JParticipantQuote (SimplyForgiven @ Dec. 22 2010,12:14) Quote (Ed J @ Dec. 22 2010,06:09) Quote (SimplyForgiven @ Dec. 22 2010,12:00) blah blah blah i didnt even read it because its foolish, a nonesense, and a lie that you manipulated to prove God's existance.
