I ask you questions and even then you do not answered them ,it seem I am talking to a JW only what they want to say counts ,never giving true answers ,
I wonder if you understand those scriptures at all
July 27, 2015 at 4:33 pm#801404kerwinParticipantterraricca,
I am connecting the words of John 3:19-21 because I find those passages just as easy to understand and they are linked to it.
Jesus speaks the word and in the word is the life of men but those that love darkness do not understand and reject it making up their own doctrine as a result of their lack of understanding. Jesus does not lie so those that hunger and thirst for righteousness will come to be like God in true righteousness and holiness and God does not sin.
If you love just one sin then you do not want to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
July 27, 2015 at 5:19 pm#801407NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
The Spirit of holiness transforms those reborn from above.
It is not by their efforts to be sinless.
July 28, 2015 at 2:19 am#801412kerwinParticipantNick,
There are efforts but those efforts also come from God.

any scriptures to back this up, since you do not want to answer my question answer yours
July 28, 2015 at 6:19 am#801414kerwinParticipantterraricca,
Could you rephrase your question and place a number by it so perhaps I will understand it since I have answered your questions as far as I understand them. Thank you.
Matthew 5:6 and Ephesians 4:24.
July 28, 2015 at 6:35 am#801415NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
So you say.
July 28, 2015 at 7:08 am#801416kerwinParticipantNick,
Or you could believe James when he says faith without works is dead. The works are the fruit of the Spirit and those efforts it takes to get the Spirit.
July 28, 2015 at 7:15 am#801417NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Those works do not include efforts to save yourself.
All is grace .
July 28, 2015 at 9:04 am#801418kerwinParticipantNick,
Is James wrong that faith without works is dead?
July 28, 2015 at 9:11 am#801420NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Of course not.
But men cannot let go and let God.
The works James speaks of are towards others not towards self.
If we could save ourselves we could boast but God is salvation.
July 28, 2015 at 9:56 am#801421kerwinParticipantNick,
I am not sure what you mean by “The works James speaks of are towards others not towards self” though I already pointed out that the works as well as the faith are a gift from God.
July 28, 2015 at 10:12 am#801422NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
It is required that we make a fundamental change.
If we are appointed and anointed to work for God our vision is of helping others and letting God change us.
July 28, 2015 at 10:29 am#801423kerwinParticipantNick,
The evidence of that change is that our effort will be empowered by God and not of ourselves.
July 28, 2015 at 2:08 pm#801429terrariccaParticipantkw
my question to you is this ;any scriptures to back this up,
for you say;Jesus does not lie so those that hunger and thirst for righteousness will come to be like God in true righteousness and holiness and God does not sin.
so please answer the question
July 29, 2015 at 2:21 am#801448kerwinParticipantterraricca,
I already answered that by saying:
Matthew 5:6 and Ephesians 4:24.
Matthew 5:6 is the promise those who deeply desire to be righteous like God is righteous will be filled with that righteousness.
Ephesians teaches that those that put on the new man you are filled with that righteousness.
If you lack faith that God does not sin there is a passage for that too.
July 29, 2015 at 6:33 am#801453NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Do you think the righteousness of God is BECAUSE God does not sin?
You think righteousness is the absence of a negative??
Your god is rather too small.
July 29, 2015 at 7:58 am#801458kerwinParticipantNick
Stop trying to redefine words to excuse your sins. There is no excuse for them.
Do not be deceived he that does right is righteous and he that sins does not do right. (1 John 3:7)
Do you not believe that Jesus told the truth when he proclaimed anyone who sins is a servant of sin and that the Son sets those that believe truly free.(John 8:31-36)
July 29, 2015 at 8:33 am#801459NickHassanParticipanthi KW,
Be free of the delusion that righteousness is just sinlessness.
The righteousness of God is not defined in such crude terms.
Jn 16.8f
July 29, 2015 at 9:26 am#801461NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. rom10
We cannot have a righteousness of our own. phil3
Either we are reborn into Christ and covered with his robe of righteousness or we are following vanity.
