August 6, 2008 at 4:31 am#100330gollamudiParticipantHi Mandy,
Thanks for bumping. Of course you might have meant it for Pulivarthy, he is my friend from India a believer of Trinity.I want the attention of brother Nick on Jn 1:1
If he believes the 'word' was another apart from the person God then he is making two Gods in the beginning.Love to you
AdamAugust 6, 2008 at 4:55 am#100334NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
For us there is one God, the Father.
Jesus tried to help men get over this stuff.Speaking of men in Jn 10 he said
33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Get over it.
August 6, 2008 at 5:02 am#100336gollamudiParticipantMay same Jesus help you to know that his Father alone is the True God.
August 6, 2008 at 5:04 am#100338NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
Is the Father, the only true God, not your God?
He is mine.
Words should not cause you to stumble.August 6, 2008 at 5:06 am#100341gollamudiParticipantSame is true with you my brother I am trying to say the same.
August 6, 2008 at 5:07 am#100344NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
Then tell us what Jesus meant in Jn 10 when he quoted scripture calling men gods.August 6, 2008 at 5:15 am#100352gollamudiParticipantJudges or people who are appointed by God which does not make them True God.
August 6, 2008 at 5:17 am#100354NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
True.
So what are you trying to say?
Did you think Jesus was the one true God?
We do not.August 6, 2008 at 5:22 am#100357gollamudiParticipantI don't make him at all you people are making Jesus God by saying he was existing as a person who was 'word' in the beginning with God.
August 6, 2008 at 5:25 am#100361NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
So what if others were with God too?
God did use the word “US” when He spoke of making man.
The sons of God rejoiced when the foundations of earth were laid so they were there too.[jb38]August 6, 2008 at 5:33 am#100369gollamudiParticipantElohim(gods or angels) were with God.
August 6, 2008 at 5:34 am#100370NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
How can you say that having been so anxious to say so a minute ago?August 6, 2008 at 5:50 am#100382gollamudiParticipantWhat god or angels?
August 6, 2008 at 5:52 am#100383NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
So GODS were with God?August 6, 2008 at 10:34 am#100420gollamudiParticipantI take the meaning of Elohim as 'angels' here than 'gods' which all of you claim. Angels were with God when He laid the foundations of the world no Gods my brother.
August 6, 2008 at 10:35 am#100422NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
So you withdraw your previous post?
Make your mind up .August 6, 2008 at 10:38 am#100426gollamudiParticipantPlease see my post I was referring the word 'Elohim” which was meaning as 'angels or 'gods'.
I always prefer the apt meaning to the context which is 'angels' than 'gods'.August 6, 2008 at 10:40 am#100427NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
