Hi Col 2,
1 For I want you to know how great a struggle I have on your behalf and for those who are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not [a]personally seen my face, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 I say this so that no one will delude you with persuasive argument. 5 For even though I am absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing [c]to see [d]your good discipline and the stability of your faith in Christ.
6 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so [e]walk in Him, 7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established [f]in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing [g]with gratitudeCHRIST is the mystery of God.
We walk in him as we walk in the Spirit.

Everyone wanted to touch Jesus. If he were here right now, I would rush for an embrace, or at the very least, a touch.

Well, let's see Ed……………They layed hands on people – touching.
They washed each other's feet – touching.
They greeted each other with kisses, as was the custom – touching.
They reclined against one another while dining – touching.
They anointed each other with oil – touching.
People clammored toward Jesus thinking, “If I could just touch even his outer garment, I will be healed” – touching. So I really don't see what's so funny. It seems to me that Nick has offered us up yet another proof that Jesus is the Word……….because when did anyone SEE or TOUCH the Holy Spirit or the spirit of Christ?
And I'll offer you yet another one I read today:
Luke 1:2
just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eye-witnesses and servants of the Word (logos). It seems as if John was not the only disciple to call Jesus “the Word”.

Certain individuals read their doctrine into John 1 and other scriptures. That is why I started the thread ”Psalms 119, 11: Who is the Word?”
