    John 1:1-3,14
    ERV

    Christ Comes to the World
1 Before the world began, the Word [a] was there. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was there with God in the beginning. 3 Everything was made through him, and nothing was made without him. 4 In him there was life, and that life was a light for the people of the world.
14 The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his divine greatness—the greatness that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace and truth.

that is Christ! he is the WORD! he is GOD! truly GOD! not a false god!
    he is TRULY GOD!

false teachers are picking translations bec it does not fit to their doctrine

    Hi Jammin,

Manipulated versions are proof of nothing, as your own words attest to; if not, why don't you accept what Mike says based on what the N.W.T. says?

N.W.T. (Jehovah witnesses bible) In (the) beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a God.

Reason for edit: to clarify the wording.

the topic is JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD?,

    then let us use NWT
    john 1.14 says
14 So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of undeserved kindness and truth.

therefore, even the NWT says that the word is the Son of GOD!
    that is Christ!

    Hi Jammin,

the glory as of the only begotten of the Father (John 1:14)
compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)

The Word of the oath, which was since the law,
maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore. (Hebrews 7:28)

1Pet.1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by “The Word” of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Of his own will begat he us with “The Word” of truth,
that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (James 1:18)

2 Tim 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that

do you believe that the Word became flesh in verse 14 and that is the son of God? do you believe what the verse says?

2Ti 2:14 Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.
2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16 Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.

why do you change the words of God into your words and so deceive ????

Of course it does, jammin. The NWT is an outstanding translation of the Hebrew and Greek scriptures. And the JWs believe like you and I, that the Word was Jesus Christ, the Son of God, through whom all things were created, who later became flesh and dwelled on earth.

    Hi MB,
    But Jesus was conceived.
The Spirit of Christ was before Abraham, John and him.

    Nick,

Why would you claim this stuff?  ???  Scripture clearly says that JESUS said he was before Abraham.  John the Baptist clearly said that JESUS was before him.

Yet, for your own PERSONAL reasons, you've decided to believe that these scriptures spoke of the “spirit of Christ” instead of Jesus.  Why? None of them SAY it was “the spirit of Christ” speaking, do they?

    Just believe the scriptures, Nick.

    Hi MB,
He was filled with the Spirit.
The Word proceeded forth and came from God.

    Hi MB,
Is everything men say from themselves?

Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Everything else comes from the evil one.

Jesus Christ said his words were from God but nobody still believes him.

All of God's prophets spoke the words of God, Nick. How many of them were “the Word made flesh”?

    Hi MB,
    You must be consistent.

There are no scriptures that say Jesus was in heaven beforehand.
Taking the words of the Spirit speaking through him as applying to the flesh man is not appropriate.

    Listen to the Spirit.
    Believe Jesus Christ

I don't apply those words to a “flesh man”, Nick. Haven't you read that Jesus was existing in the form of God before he was MADE INTO a “flesh man”?

    Mike,

I know of no such Scripture.
