I can observe something without judging. I'll leave the judging up to God, after all, He has the quals.

You're sure He may bless me? Isn't that a conundrum or something? lolJuly 12, 2010 at 7:35 am#203311Ed JParticipantQuote (Ed J @ July 11 2010,18:26) Quote (Oxy @ July 11 2010,18:14) Quote (mikeboll64 @ July 11 2010,20:11) Quote (Oxy @ July 11 2010,18:04) Haha, I don't need to defend my ideas, but I will always defend the Lord's teachings Nick. I'm pleased you're not a JW.
Hey Oxy,Would Nick being a JW somehow make his interpretaion of scripture any more or less valid?
If you were a trinitarian, would it make your view on the 10 commandments or prexistence or Jesus' parables any less valid?
Something to think about. You might find you agree with JWs on many things in scripture.

Maybe Mike, but I have never met a JW that has been born again, let alone filled with the Spirit. I'm not saying that one such person doesn't exist, just that I haven't met one, and I've spoken to many JW's
Hi Oxy,Matt.7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Hi Oxy,Luke 18:9-14 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves
that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to
pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed
thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners,
unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of
all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his
eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every
one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.Ed J (Joshua 22:34)

Hi Oxy,It's not your call to determine who is spirit filled and who is not,
only to determine if what comes out of their mouth is of the Spirit.1Cor.2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things,
yet he himself is judged of no man.Ed J (Joshua 22:34)

Hi Oxy,I didn't know one could tell who was born again or filled with holy spirit just by looking or talking. Did they curse their parents in front of you? Did they bow down to another god, such as Jesus, in front of you? How could you tell?
You must be very perceptive or very “full of it”.

July 14, 2010 at 8:35 am#203717OxyParticipantThanks guys, I'm getting such warm fuzzies lol.
How do I know if people are born again or not? It's a simple method really. I ask them. If they can say that on this day I repented and the Lord came into my life and changed me, then I can accept that they are most likely born again and I rejoice with them. If on the other hand they look at me funny and obviously don't know what I'm talking about then it's a pretty safe bet that they have not had that life changing experience.
So have you got a testimony about when Christ came into your life?

Hi Oxy,If I ask you: “did you know God The Father is the HolySpirit”, does the same hold true for you? (Eph.4:4-6)
Eph.4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
(Matt.1:18 / Matt.1:20)

You don't test God in such a way.
To do so, would be a sin.God isn't interested in your trivial quarrels, and to bring him into one to test or charge someone would be shameful on your part.
Especially as a christian.

Hi RM,The Israelites regularly went to the prophets to inquire about what God thought of this or that. Oxy makes himself out to be in a close personal relationship with God, so I think it was a fair question.
My two cents,

That's really interesting Mike, but somehow I doubt it. No man can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again.John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Why would Jesus say there is a need to be born again if it wasn't so?

Hi RokkaMan,Is it now 'your turn' on the judgment seat? (Matt.7:1-5)
Ed J (Joshua 22:34)
http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgJuly 15, 2010 at 8:18 am#203974OxyParticipantIs the Word of God God?
That's like saying is your soul you?
Is your body you?
Is your spirit you?The answer is that all three make up the person that is you.
In the same way, the Father, the Word and the Spirit all together make up the God we know, although unlike us, the three parts of God are known individually.
Remember that we are made in the likeness of God. He is three and so are we. Hmmm.. that rhymed
