Quote (Ed J @ July 10 2010,20:49) Quote (Oxy @ July 10 2010,18:25) So Nick, if the Word became flesh at the Jordan, what form did He have before if He had no flesh?
Hi Oxy,“The Word” (HolySpirit) now indwells in all Christian believers in God! (Eph.4:4-6)
Eph.4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.Witnessing to the world in behalf of YHVH (Psalm 45:17)

So why are we told the Word became flesh? And why in Revelation 19:13 is the Word's garment dipped in blood?July 10, 2010 at 8:19 am#202831NickHassanParticipantHi Oxy,

Ho Oxy,The systems of religion and traditions of men do communicate…
distortions of truth, confusion of mind, and distractions of spirit.Keep asking questions Oxy; that's how 'you' learn! (Matt.7:7 / 2Tm.2:13)
1) John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and
“The Word” which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought
beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall
be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the HolySpirit.
Luke 12:12 For the HolySpirit shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.2) Isaiah 63:2-6 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him (Rev.19:13)
that treadeth in the winefat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was
none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood
shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance
(Isaiah 60:2) is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there
was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm
brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. And I will tread down the people in
mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
Remember Jesus stopped reading halfway through verse 2 of Isaiah Chapter 61! (Luke 4:18-19)Witnessing to the world in behalf of YHVH (Psalm 45:17)

The word[the Spirit of Christ] became flesh.
Now we know him according to the Spirit.[2Cor5]July 11, 2010 at 6:43 am#203019OxyParticipantAre you a JW Nick? It's the only answer I can find that explains some of the things you say.

Hey Oxy,Would Nick being a JW somehow make his interpretaion of scripture any more or less valid?
If you were a trinitarian, would it make your view on the 10 commandments or prexistence or Jesus' parables any less valid?
Something to think about. You might find you agree with JWs on many things in scripture.

Maybe Mike, but I have never met a JW that has been born again, let alone filled with the Spirit. I'm not saying that one such person doesn't exist, just that I haven't met one, and I've spoken to many JW'sJuly 11, 2010 at 7:26 am#203055Ed JParticipantQuote (Oxy @ July 11 2010,18:14) Quote (mikeboll64 @ July 11 2010,20:11) Quote (Oxy @ July 11 2010,18:04) Haha, I don't need to defend my ideas, but I will always defend the Lord's teachings Nick.
