Hi BD,
Why would you prefer a dry, intellectual and harsh religion having tasted of the beauty in the ways of God?
April 3, 2015 at 2:30 pm#792563NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
You seem to be desperately trying to find some possible link between the bible and your way.
It would be more honest to say you despise the ways of scripture I think.
April 3, 2015 at 2:40 pm#792564MiiaParticipantBd,
1)
the prophet that was to come was Jesus. scripture calls Jesus a prophet.
http://biblehub.com/matthew/21-11.htm
check out the cross references.2)
Jesus was not sent to the Jews only.
Quoting that Jesus himself said he was only sent to the house of Israel is missing the complete story.
It’s like you might visit a certain shop, because you were sent there by someone. So, you visit that shop but then you go to another shop while you’re at it, and another one and another one, then return to the person with gifts or necessities they didn’t ask for but are nonetheless well please with the unexpected, do you see how one part of the story is not the full story.
Of course God knew the big big plan for the gentiles: the salvation of the whole world.
Salvation came from the Jews, that salvation being Jesus Christ.
It doesn’t mean to say ‘salvation is of the Jews only’ that is a bad translation. ‘Salvation, rather, had come from the Jews, meaning Jesus Christ came from the Jews.
There’s plenty of verses about this in scripture, example the payable of the tenants, vision of Peter etc, but I can’t study or copy paste right now cause I’m pretty immobile with only a mobile (after surgery!). But it is there.April 3, 2015 at 2:47 pm#792565NickHassanParticipantHi mila,
The life and work of Jesus continued in the apostles by the Spirit of Christ.

Yes Nick.
April 3, 2015 at 2:57 pm#792567NickHassanParticipantYes mila,
Peter and Paul raised the dead,
I wonder what miracles BD can show.
April 3, 2015 at 3:43 pm#792568bodhithartaParticipantThere are miracles written elsewhere of miracles that Muhammad has done but the Quran makes no mention of them because what is unique about the Quran is it is the Miracle itself. You still don’t seem to understand Muhammad is the Messenger there is no attempt to make him into a God as Christ Jesus was made into, so the emphasis is never on Muhammad and always on Allah.
You say mila “of course God knew the big plan for the gentiles” I say I agree but that is not who Jesus was sent to.
and by the way Nick there is nothing more beautiful than Loving God directly in peace, this is Islam
April 3, 2015 at 3:50 pm#792569NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
Miracle?
You are easily impressed.
Jesus in Paul and Peter and the brothers went to all God planned to touch and call.

April 3, 2015 at 5:56 pm#792579NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
Fine words but of man.
April 3, 2015 at 5:58 pm#792581bodhithartaParticipantThese are words of God
April 3, 2015 at 6:06 pm#792582NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
The writings from your religion typify what Jesus said.
Yours are tasteless gruel compared with the hearty fare on the table of the Lord=they are spirit and life.
April 3, 2015 at 6:08 pm#792583NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
What convinced you that your religious words are of God?
April 3, 2015 at 6:52 pm#792588bodhithartaParticipantBecause they are God’s words
April 3, 2015 at 6:54 pm#792589bodhithartaParticipantNick
Why do you hate God…seriously, you seem to hate God and love Jesus, why is that?
Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. …..April 3, 2015 at 7:09 pm#792590NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
No wrong again.
God knows those who are His.
But the words you offer have no authority.
Look in the mirror and you will see the one in rebellion against God
April 3, 2015 at 7:16 pm#792593NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
So tell us when you were baptised in the name of Jesus Christ.
April 3, 2015 at 7:47 pm#792596MiiaParticipant<quote bodhitharta> Nick Why do you hate God…seriously, you seem to hate God and love Jesus, why is that? Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. …..</quote>to bd,
regarding the love of the son and of the father:
“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. (John 14:21)
see how we love the son and are loved by the father, and son, and the father and son make their abode with us? see, also how the words Jesus spoke were the father’s?
regarding not being able to serve two masters:
“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. “I and the Father are one.” (John 10.30)
the father and son are as one. so no problem there.
April 3, 2015 at 8:01 pm#792597MiiaParticipant<quote bodhitharta>Because they are God’s words</quote>
what makes you think the words of the Quran are God’s words?
I once had a Quran and read some, and the words definitely did not seem the same as Jesus’ words.
why would God give us the scriptures specifically the Gospels as truth and then change the truth? why would it say so much about Jesus including his death and resurrection only to change later to a different account.
no, you cannot serve two masters and you cannot believe two different accounts: you can only believe one as true. closer to the source and time is best, and from the mouth of the savior and son of God from heaven. - AuthorPosts
