Gene knows a different Jesus from the one taught in the scriptures.
He knows a man who was never anything but a human being, just like us. This normal man hit the lottery of all lotteries when God approached him and said, “Look dude, you're going to eventually die like all men do, right? But I'm going to make you a deal. I want your death to be a crucifixion, and in exchange for 6 hours on a tree, I'm going to, out of the blue, give you all authority over heaven and earth, and sit you at my right hand to rule over my creation.”
Which one of us wouldn't knock down old ladies in our way just to jump at that chance? I sure would!
Unfortunately for Gene, the Bible teaches a Jesus who already was existing with much glory in the form of God, before all things were created through him. The Jesus of the Bible never had to die at all, for he would have lived forever alongside God. But instead, he emptied himself of this most wonderful position alongside his God, and allowed himself to be made into a much inferior being. Once made that way, he didn't come to rule the beings that were created through him – instead he came to serve them. And after 3+ years of serving these inferior beings, and taking all kinds of crap from non-believers, he allowed himself to be strung up on a tree, to taste death for all of us, thereby atoning for the sins WE (not he) committed.
Yep, the Bible's Jesus and Gene's Jesus are definitely different.

You misunderstood my post, Wakeup. Gene was claiming that because our Father and God is also Jesus' Father and God, Jesus couldn't have been anything except for a man – exactly like the rest of us.I was pointing out that Jehovah is also the God and Father of Satan, but that fact doesn't mean that SATAN was always just a man like the rest of us………….. so why would it mean that in the case of JESUS?
Satan has never been a man. He is a powerful spirit being who is actually called a god in a few scriptures.

Although I guess you could say that God was the God of who Satan was, and once he went his own way, he went against God. But yeah, God created him as good originally.But even after all Satan has done, he is still a son of God. In fact, he was still on talking terms with God even in Jesus' days on earth.

I don't think God hates Satan. I think he is as a father to a son who had committed a bad crime or something. That father is definitely not happy about what his son did……. but the father will always love that son.

We are born by the will of man;but Jesus was born by the will of God. He is man,but his father is God,and that makes him holy. Jesus also has known God, and seen God before he was made flesh.
The word was before everything,for he made everything.
But the was made flesh at his birth.He was from everlasting before he was made flesh.He created his mother mary before he was made flesh.

1c2) for punishmentI couldn't find a Bible aside from the KJV that has “desired”. Even the NKJV has “asked”.
But consider Job. Was Satan one of the angels that came to present themselves before God? YES.
Did God have a nice, pleasant conversation with Satan at that time? YES.
Did God even allow Satan to severely test Job – even though Job was righteous, and had done nothing wrong? YES.
And didn't all these things happen AFTER Satan had caused Adam and Eve to sin? YES.
God does not hate Satan, Wakeup. I assume that God hates the sin, and not the sinner – as we all should do.
(Oh, and btw, the word “you” in that verse is plural. It was not only Peter that Satan demanded to sift as wheat. Jesus referred to the whole group of disciples.)

Mike……..The Jesus i get from scripture came into existence through a women from among His brothers and sisters who were flesh and blood being, That is if you believe the Prophets who were speaking by the Spirit of GOD and what Jesus also said anout being a SON of MAN.But one thing i will give you 99% of all Trinitarians and JW's and Preexistences agree with YOU. So surely you “ALL” can't be wrong “RIGHT”?
