If the 'temple' was the Father's in that verse, it would not say 'His' temple but 'My' temple. I checked the Greek and it is definitely written in the third person and not the first person.
Kathi, find me a scripture where Jesus DOESN'T refer to “the Son of Man” in the third person. Does that mean the “Son of Man” is not Jesus? God also speaks this way throughout scripture. Maybe His Son picked up the habit from “the old man”, huh?Kathi, the Father and the Son are not worshipped by anyone who follows the commands of God or His Son. But can you show me one scripture that refers to JESUS' temple………as support to your understanding of Malachi?

Hi Mike,
Have you heard of Solomon's temple? He built the temple of the Lord and it is at times called Solomon's temple.Zechariah 6:13 New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the LORD, and He who will bear the honor and sit and rule on His throne. Thus, He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices.”'This refers to Christ in the future and has to do with Joshua as a type of Christ.

Mike………All flesh is the Temples of the Living GOD, because they are all created by him and the Spirit he puts (IN) them is what animates them the same as us. So from that sense all that has life (IN) it is a Temple of GOD. But that does not negate Paul's says OUR BODIES ARE A TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD. He did not did not make it exclusive as you are, by implying only Jesus' body was his temple. “THAT GOD MAY BE (IN) ALL AND THROUGH (all)” , God was indeed (IN) Jesus Just as he said he was, and that same GOD can be (IN) Us the same way He was (IN) Jesus , So the (WORD WHICH WAS AND IS GOD) became (which means came to be) (IN) Jesus , the word was (NOT) Jesus it was (IN) Jesus. Remember Thomas, “MY LORD (AND) MY GOD. Now tell me did this turn on your light some brother? You must stop trying to separate Jesus from our (EXACT) Identity Mike, that is the spirit (intellect) of those against Christ that is what a Antichrists is. IMOPeace and love…………………………gene

Same with Jesus. Jesus “built” YHVH's new temple, but we don't worship the builder there, only the One whose temple it is.

Hi Gene,Do you even know what you're railing against me about?
Kathi is saying that YHVH's temple is also Jesus' temple – a place where both should be worshipped. I'm arguing that only YHVH has a temple where we worship ONLY him.
Scriptures say that Jesus' body AND the bodies of believers are that temple. But the point I'm making is that the temples are YHVH's temples, not YHVH AND Jesus'. The only ones in scripture who have temples are YHVH and false gods. Jesus does not have his own temple, and therefore the “Lord” in Mal 1:1 must be YHVH, because it says he will come to “HIS TEMPLE”. Jesus does not have a temple where people go to worship him.
Do you get it now? You are making a point of arguing against things that no one is even claiming. Please read the posts carefully instead of seeing my name and deciding you must argue against what I'm saying just for the sake of it.
Btw Gene, this is just a helpful observation:
Don't you know how to bold your text? Because all the parenthesis mixed into your posts make them confusing and hard to understand. Instead of parenthesis, I would suggest bolding or underlining the words you are emphasizing.peace and love,

Mike,
That's right that you can call it “so and so's temple” if they built it. There is a difference in Solomon and the temple and Jesus and the temple. Solomon didn't rule and reign in the temple but Solomon reigned in the kingdom. Jesus sits on the throne in the temple of the Lord, on the throne of God. Isn't that different…to sit on the throne in the temple and to sit on the throne in the kingdom. Jesus does both as I recall plus, in the temple He has the office of High Priest.January 4, 2011 at 3:03 am#231704LightenupParticipantQuote (terraricca @ Jan. 02 2011,14:35) Quote (Lightenup @ Jan. 02 2011,19:46) Pierre,

January 4, 2011 at 3:58 pm#231803GeneBalthropParticipantTo All………..ALL Physical Bodies are temples of the Living GOD and they are our bodies we live in and through. God was Cohabiting (IN) Jesus' (BODY) which He called a Temple and said if they destroyed it He would raise it up in three days. All flesh are temples of the living GOD , The false teaching that we can live without a Body is simply not true, not now or ever will we either. The separation of the Body and Spirit is death and when we die our thought Parish and we are not longer alive and will remain that way forever unless GOD resurrects our same DNA body and add Spirit back into it. We can be destroyed (IN) the GRAVE as Jesus Said we can, a resurrection is crucial for us to live again after we die , our bodies must be reconstructed and Spirit added back into ti just as Jesus' body was resurected also and His spirit added back into it, the same must happen to us in order fro us to continue to live. Hi Kathi,You are so right. Jesus is the Priest. When has God ever allowed one of His PRIESTS to be worshipped? A priest is one who goes before God in behalf of mankind. A priest is not the God he goes before, nor is he worshipped as if he IS that God. And also, a priest does “rule” in a spiritual way FROM THE TEMPLE OF HIS GOD. Just like Jesus will, right?

Hi Kathi,I forgot about this thread for a minute!
My answer is “NO”. Jesus is a god, or “deity”, for that's all the word means. And all “god” means is “powerful ruler”. So yes, the second most powerful ruler in existence was GRANTED by HIS God to sit on the throne of HIS God with Him.
What's your point? How does this make Jesus have a temple where people can go to worship him?
