Hi Ed,
Yes.
July 7, 2018 at 10:06 pm#831937NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
God breathed into the dust of earth and man became a living soul.
The Spirit can leave at death and be returned by God(Lk 8.55)
But adding flesh to a spirit to make a man is not of scripture.
July 7, 2018 at 10:34 pm#831940Ed JParticipantAnd adding flesh to something does not make a man.
Hi Nick,
Adding flesh to your spirit does not make you a man?
Hi Ed,
Yes.
Thank you Nick,
You have fought tooth and nail to avoid giving a simple y/n answer in the past.
I see great improvement on your part in this regard!Again Thanks!

Hi Nick,
Please provide for us us your understanding of Heb 10:5:
“Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not,
but a body hast thou prepared me.”____________

Ed JJuly 8, 2018 at 2:33 am#831943GeneBalthropParticipantEdj….The spirit of CHRIST, means the spirit of the anointing or “christo’s of God. Jesus was not born with that spirit he recieved it at the Jordan river. Many false teachers believe when they read t h e word CHRIST, THEY THINK THAT MEANS THE PERSON JESUS, himself, it does not. It means the anointing spirit of God that came to be on him at his baptizm by John.
The word christ came refer to Jesus, but only in the “anointed one” sense.
The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he has “ANOINTED” ME, to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of site to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
Edj,,,the CHRISTO’S IS THE SPIRIT OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD, IT WAS on the MAN JESUS, BUT WAS NEVER HIM, that is why Jesus said, the FATHER WHO IS GOD WAS “IN” HIM, IT WAS BY THE ANOINTING SPIRIT THAT WAS ON HIM , BUT THAT NEVER MADE HIM THE SPIRIT THAT WAS ON HIM.
Go read all the the many scriptures that show those who also had the anointing spiit of God on them, did that ever make any of them, the anointing spirit or christos themselves, no not one , and that includes the “man” Jesus.
All who had the anointing Spirit on them acted as “MEDERATORS” BETWEEN GOD AND MAN. The same applied to the man Jesus.
1 Ti 2:5…For there is “One” GOD, and “One” MEDIATOR” between GOD and men, the “MAN”, the “anointed one of God, Jesus.
No anointing ever made the person who was anointed the anointing himself.
Edj, go read the tons of scriptures that prove the anointing SPIRIT IS GOD PRESENT WITH THOSE WHO ARE ANOINTED, BUT NONE OF THAT EVER MADE THAT PERSON HIMSELF THAT ANOINTING THAT WAS ON HIM.
Jesus never preexisted his berth, but the anointing or christo’s of God sure did, it came to be in the flesh man Jesus, just as it did on all in the past who had it on them also. While it did made them a Christo’s it never made then the CHRISTO’S THEMSELVES.
These people who try to make us believe that Jesus was himself the anointing siprit, are robbing God the Father of his Glory, and paying it to the man Jesus. They are truly ANTICHRISTS BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE JESUS “HIMSELF” WAS THE ANOINTING SPIRIT, and therefore they do not truly believe JESUS “HAD” TO BE ANOINTED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, INORDER FOR HIM TO DO THE THING HE DID, THEY ARE ANTICHRISTS in ever sense of the word, they steal glory the belongs to the ONLY TRUE GOD, and give it to THE “MAN” JESUS. This Jesus certanly never did.
They present a false JESUS, BY TURNING HIM INTO A GOD, IT’S ALL ABOUT WHO JESUS REALLY IS EDJ. Just as Jesus said it would be.
Peace and love to you and yours. …..gene
July 8, 2018 at 4:38 am#831948JodiParticipantTo ALL,
Yes Nick Jesus did not sin before his anointing. The Spirit of God was with him prior to his anointing, but the Spirit was given without measure unto him at his anointing, and it caused several things.
Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
verses after his anointing,
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Jesus a Son of Man born of God anointed at the river was given great power, he could turn water into wine, he fed 4,000 people from 7 loaves of bread and a few fish, he had control over the wind and could walk on water, he could heal people that were deaf, dumb, mute, blind, mad, had fevers, leprosy, palsy, paralyzed, and he could even raise the dead. Being a man of the flesh tempted as we are tempted that power was tempting, as we see just after the anointing he was sent to the wilderness to be tested and he did not use those great powers to serve himself, he stayed true to God and His will.
Jesus was able to withstand this temptation because besides having been given God’s great powers, he was also given great wisdom and understanding. That wisdom worked in him to have no confidence in his flesh but full confidence in God. He was able to deny the temptation of his weak flesh. Having been given the Spirit of God without measure he still was a mortal, he still got hungry and needed food, he still could feel physical pain and mental anguish.
Through the wisdom and understanding that he was given he was able to speak the words of God and declare God’s Kingdom. Both his words and his deeds many rejected and plotted to kill him for it. This too was a temptation that Jesus had to overcome, being brought forth to be mocked, beaten, and nailed to the cross he did not use the powers that he had to save himself from pain and suffering, he continued to follow God’s will until his death. Man is perfect not just through being without sin but through having perfect faith in God. He proved perfect faith to God over the flesh when he conquered the primal fear of death. Being a Son of God being a sinless man he was still needing to LEARN obedience, and he was made perfect through suffering.
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
In order to bring man sons unto glory the mortal man Jesus was MADE perfect through suffering, having faith in God unto his death.
For Jesus the mortal man, the Son of Man, the son of David, in order for him to speak and perform God’s work, he needed God’s Spirit without measure, in order for him to perform God’s will and not fail or be discouraged He needed God’s Spirit without measure. He needed to be anointed/begotten by God.
The son of man, the son of David was well pleasing to God, he was God’s elect, one chosen out of the people to be a savior of his brethren, he was given God’s Spirit without measure being begotten by God, as God said He would give no other man His glory. Upon this anointing the Son of man was begotten as the Son of God and was SENT out into the world to speaketh God’s words and perform God’s will. God sent him having GIVEN him all things into his hands. That which Jesus spoke and performed was not of himself but was of God, it was not of the will of a man but of the will of God. This made Jesus as he performed God’s will, a man not of this world but a man having come from heaven, having come from God.
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isaiah 42: 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. 9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Writing your ‘opinions’ IN ALL CAPS does not make them any more true.
Especially when I see you ignore Scripture that disagrees with them.____________
God bless
Ed JJuly 8, 2018 at 5:02 am#831950Ed JParticipantJesus never preexisted his berth, but the anointing or christo’s of God sure did,…
Hi Gene,
Everyone agrees with this part of your sentence…
It is the second part of your sentence that is disputed.
And you repeating over and over will not change that.
You ignore the Scripture that goes against your belief.____________

Ed JJuly 8, 2018 at 5:07 am#831951AndrewADParticipantJodi,
You ask ” How is it that a human in the FLESH can be a Son of God? ” The verses in Lk 1:34,35 that we were discussing answer this plainly as I pointed out to you. 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. As I said before, according to these verses and the virgin birth in Matthew Jesus is biologically the Son of God which you plainly deny and brush off. You call it pagan fable, a “half breed God and man”, but a literal virgin birth is exactly what Matthew and Luke teach.
As far as preexistence goes the virgin birth is not dependent on that and it’s not directly taught in the synoptics but many scriptures in the NT plainly teach it which is why it’s a doctrine of Christianity. When I first came to this site I was for a short while a conservative unitarian denying preexistence also but soon realized I wasn’t being honest with the bible since I had to change and deny the plain reading of too many verses to fit the teachings.
July 8, 2018 at 5:08 am#831952GeneBalthropParticipantTo all…Well people there it is, your choice, believe it or not. Jodi and I have both told you the truth. Concerning THE “MAN” JESUS. A line is in the sand, you can chose to believe those decieved blind trinitarians, and those who believe that Jesus “preexisted” his berth on this earth, as a whatever, i don’t know as what, Neither does those that preach it do either.
You can either accept solid sound truth, or go through the wide way that leads to destruction that “many” go in threat there of.
You can chose the “Real” JESUS, OR THE FALSE JESUS. ALL who have the Spirit of God in them will chose the real JESUS. NOT THE JESUS THAT FALLEN CHRISTANITY PREACHES.
Peace and love to you all and yours. ……..gene
July 8, 2018 at 5:21 am#831953GeneBalthropParticipantEdj….what part?, aviously you didn’t read the scriptures me or Jodi have posted, there are ton of them, that back it up. SO post you scriptures that disagree with anything i have said. You say scripture disagrees, but failed to produce themm are we to take your word or do you truly have scriptures to disprove it, let see them.
Saying something is one thing producing actual scriptures is quit another, right?
peace and love to you and yours. ……gene
July 8, 2018 at 5:34 am#831954AndrewADParticipantGene,
You’ve drawn a line in the sand so to speak declaring all who disagree with your interpretations as fallen huh? Are you the second or third coming of Elijah maybe? or Muhammed declaring “say not trinity”!? Will Babylon fall today and Armageddon begin here on this internet site?
Perhaps just you and Jodi and maybe Nick can enjoy a thousand years of paradise all to yourselves! 🙂
July 8, 2018 at 6:02 am#831957AndrewADParticipant” How is it that a human in the FLESH can be a Son of God? ”
How is it that preexisting Sons of God can copulate with mortal women and produce giants? Does anyone think they’ve figured that out? this sounds rather “Greek and pagan” too.

I am glad you are starting to see and hear.
July 8, 2018 at 6:29 am#831960NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
The man Jesus had the sinless body prepared for the Spirit.
And the Word was made flesh at the Jordan.

Thank you for the clarification.
The Word cleanses and the Spirit sanctifies.

Should Scripture always be according to logic?
July 8, 2018 at 6:57 am#831964NickHassanParticipantHi Andrew,
God is the Father of Adam.
Jesus is a son of Adam.

Is Scripture logical?
July 8, 2018 at 7:07 am#831966NickHassanParticipantHi Andrew,
Jesus was conceived of God in a virgin.
Like the first Adam God was his real father.
And like Adam he was a man in need of salvation.
Men need to find the waters of eternal life and he showed the way.
