No the Spirit is not conceived or born.
A man was conceived and born and reborn of the Holy Spirit at the Jordan.

I understand it like this,
A man houses the Spirit of God because that Spirit has been written into the man’s heart/his mind, as his spirit knows God and loves God and is committed to following God. Through God’s Spirit working in our spirit He teaches us and we love and honor Him for the righteousness He creates in us.

Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
God taught Jesus, He gave the mind/spirit of Jesus wisdom and understanding. Jesus while in weak flesh did not follow the will of the flesh, which is to serve the self. Jesus overcame his weak flesh by the help from God’s Spirit. Jesus through God’s Spirit was able to turn his own spirit away from following the flesh and have a mind/spirit fully devoted to following God’s will.
Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
The Spirit is teaching man’s own spirit what to say, it is not just speaking it like a puppet as if it is ONLY a vessel, it’s a LIVING BEING with a brain and a heart, it believes in the word and LIVES by the word, and loves the word. Your spirit is your mind, we are not empty minded and just a mere ship.
God has used his prophets and apostles to transport His message from Him to others. God used Jesus as a vessel to show His mercy, His power, His righteousness to others. However they are not just a house or a vessel that simply stores or delivers, they have a spirit within them that comprehends the message, that lives through the message and loves the message.

We know from Genesis 2.7 that man became a living soul by the breath of God.
We know that there was s a division between soul and spirit from Heb 4.12.
We know that the body without the Spirit is dead from Jas 2.26
We know that the spirit of man returns to God , Who gave it, at death from Ecc 12.7
And we know from rovers that God knows the heart of a man by the spirit He gave them.
So the spirit is the temporary source of life given to every living man.
And from the breath of God it has no relationship with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of eternal life.
We know that man is a vessel from 2 Tim.2.2f but scripture does not say that the spirit is a vessel.
We know that the body is temporary and so is the spirit, so the soul is the vessel that exists beyond death.
Sometimes scripture uses soul and spirit interchangeably and this makes it harder.
Luke 11.24f shows that unclean spirits can be housed in a man.
The Holy Spirit or the scriptures anlibened by the Spirit can guide a man from without.
But the infilling or baptism in the Holy Spirit is when the vessel of man reaches the potential it was designed for.
Nick the spirit is used interchangeably with our minds and hearts.
Jesus still has a mind and a heart it is what he uses to keep all that he knows of God intact, if he didn’t have it he would have no memory, and he would be a walking puppet.
Nick….please consider what Jodi is saying. A “COMPLETE” SOUL is, a body with the spirit in it, GOD ADD HIMSELF to us by adding to us his spirit of truth brother. We are each unique beings all of us have been given different spirits which makes us each unique beings, the Father sends his spirit of truth to live with us to keep us for ever. “Know you not that your BODY IS, the temple of the Living God”.

soul and spirit are used interchangeably as likewise heart and mind are used interchangeably with the spirit. The soul represents the life in the body, so if you are talking about a person’s life as their soul, you could also be referring to their spirit. Without that life the spirit ceases. If your body is dead it has no soul, meaning it has no life.
The body decays but the spirit returns to God. Just as Gene said we are all unique beings and it is our spirit that makes us unique. Did you know Nick that your thoughts can change your DNA?.. within your DNA is your unique spirit, an individual’s identity, their character.
Did you know Nick that all of the earth’s DNA, people’s individual genetic codes, which includes their character, their knowledge, their personality, their heart, can fit into a teaspoon? When we die but then are resurrected by God He takes that code in order to recreate us. Some will be resurrected into a body with eternal life, while others a body yet again given weakness.
Our biology is so incredible, I feel that is an understatement really!!
I don’t see how anyone could study biology and not see a designer. When I studied biology in college all I could think about was how creative and intelligent our Creator is. Through learning about humans and how God has made us, it made me praise God for His amazingly intelligent design.

But we do not.
The body returns to the dust of earth
but men go either to Sheol in the earth or
the mansions of Christ for those who are in him.
The sons of God are revealed at the first resurrection.

Ed JNick…correct, do not fear them that can kill the body, and do no more, but fear him that can destory both body and Soul, in the grave. How can God destory “BOTH IN THE GRAVE”?, BY SIMPLY NOT RESURECTING THE BODY, THEN THE “SOUL” NOLONGER EXISTS, WHY? because scripture says that God made a body from the dust of the earth, and breath into it the breath of life, then what? And THAT BODY CAME TO BE, a living “SOUL”.
So from that we see what a living “soul” is, simply a body with spirit in it. in fact that applies to all living creatures of the earth, those different bodies are all living “souls”.
Remember what Jesus said when he was about to die, “Father I commend my “spirit” in thy hands”, it was not THE SPIRIT OF GOD HE WAS COMMENDING INTO GOD’S HANDS, BUT HIS OWN SPIRIT, Is what he wanted God to perserve. It was not the spirit of God, because It never dies nor can it.
The problem is with the word SOUL, false christanity wants you to believe there are three parts to a man SO THEY CAN SAY, WE CAN STILL LIVE AS A SOUL WITHOUT A BODY (A pagan concept), but scripture shows there is only two things that make up a LIVING SOUL, A BODY AND SPIRIT IN IT, EQUALS A LIVING SOUL.
It is CRUCIAL WE ATAIN UNTO THE RESURRECTION IN ORDER THAT WE CAN EXIST AGAIN AS A LIVING SOUL AFTER DEATH, or we simply will not exist again, ever. IMO

Micah 5:2 (NIV) “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from ancient times.”
Yes Bethlehem means house of bread.
The scripture states that OUT OF Bethlehem from God will come a ruler over Israel.
NOTICE this says exactly the opposite of what you are saying, it is NOT from heaven that the ruler comes but FROM Bethlehem. NOTICE it also says that the ruler COMES OUT of the small tribe of Judah, once again not down from heaven. Does the future king of the seed of David come on his own from the tribe of Judah, or does he come through the will of Him in heaven, God?
This in fact was told long before Micah to other prophets, that of the seed of David there would be an eternal king.
Out of the house of bread came the man that was later anointed with God’s Spirit, with that anointing perfection in a man was created, with that perfection which occurred on earth through suffering, we have the hope of eternal LIFE. Believing in the man who shed his blood is what we are to eat.

The bread represented the perfected body of Jesus, and that perfection was worked in him when he was anointed with God’s Spirit. When that bread was broken and died it payed for our sins and brought us life. Jesus says he is the BREAD of LIFE, he officially became the bread of life when the bread was broken and died.
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” 30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?
What will Jesus do? He is going to be the bread that gets broken and saves you from your sins!
31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’ ” 32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
God’s Spirit Ed J came down from heaven and it worked in Jesus PERFECTION so that Jesus could be the lamb without spot or blemish and be a sacrifice for our sins. By that God brought us life to the world.
The Father did NOT give us the true bread from heaven by sending down a pre-existing son, He gave us the true bread from heaven by sending down His Spirit and anointing it upon Jesus to work PERFECTION in a MAN, just as He had promised the prophets, that out of the tribe of Judah a savior would come and be an eternal king.
Guess what Ed J, our sins are foregiven however we still NEED something, the same Spirit that was in Christ needs to be in us.
Romans 8:10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
Jesus is our example of a MAN having the Spirit live in him and how it produced in him eternal life. If we believe in Jesus then we believe in the power of God’s Spirit and what it can also do for us.
