ParticipantThere are objects larger or more massive than me. There are forces in the universe that could crush my body. There are concepts in the world that are 'bigger than me' because the world works on might is right so much of the time.
Otherwise I think your last post is a christian platitude which has no real meaning.

ParticipantI disagree that we NEED to acknowledge the wider universe. I DO acknowledge it because it is a mystery, a puzzle to be worked out, and is something I find to have great beauty. To say it is all down to supernatural monsters is to give up on beauty and puzzles.
The god you worship is not as moral as I am.
