FIDELITY TO GOD EXCITES THE FURY OF THE WICKED
The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering; but ü did not look favorably upon Cain and his offering. (Genesis 4.4-5)
The Lord provided Cain and Abel with instructions regarding the sacrifice they were to offer to him. Abel, the keeper of sheep, obeyed the command of the Lord and offered a lamb as an offering. This slain lamb represented the lamb of God who would be executed for the sins of the world. Cain provides the fruits of the land he had cultivated. He did not want to depend on Abel for his offering. He wasn’t going to ask her for a lamb. Considering his own works as perfect, he presented them to God…
Cain discussed their sacrifices with Abel and called God partial. Abel interceded with his brother, repeating to him the words that God had spoken regarding the offerings he asked them to make to him. Cain flared up, as his younger brother seemed to be teaching him a lesson. Lust and jealousy filled his heart. He hated his brother, because he was preferred.
Pausing to try to calm down, Cain fumed. Realizing his mistake in offering an improper sacrifice to God, he decided to take revenge and banish Abel. Satan worked through him by inspiring him with the desire to kill his brother…
Through this account, God was going to teach the whole world that his Word must be implicitly obeyed. Cain and Abel represent two classes – the wicked and the righteous, those who go their own way and those who conscientiously follow the Lord’s way in rendering judgment and justice to him…
Abel did not compel Cain to obey God’s command. It was Cain who, inspired by Satan and overflowing with anger, used force. Enraged by Abel’s firmness and God’s attitude toward him and his brother, he killed his brother.
The two camps represented by Cain and Abel will exist until the end of the history of the world. The good and obedient man does not quarrel with the transgressor of the law of God. But those who do not respect the law of God, oppress and persecute others. They follow in the footsteps of their leader, accusing God and those who take the path of obedience. The spirit prompting people to accuse, condemn, imprison and put to death rules our land. It is this same spirit that rules in the hearts of disobedient children.

LILE A WATERED GARDEN
An Amazing Fact: About 75 percent of Americans are chronically dehydrated. Lack of water is the number one trigger of daytime fatigue.
Many people don’t realize how much their body needs water. The thirst mechanism in 37 percent of Americans is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger. Even if you are mildly dehydrated, it can slow down your metabolism by as much as three percent.
Drinking enough water can help you with a host of problems. The University of Washington studied dieters and discovered that drinking only one glass of water would shut down midnight hunger pangs in 100 percent of people. Joint pain in 80 percent of sufferers can be reduced by consuming 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. And only five glasses of water per day would decrease the risk of colon cancer by 45 percent.
What caught my attention in water research was that just a two percent drop in body water can contribute to fuzzy short-term memory, make it difficult to do simple math, and cause trouble focusing on reading a book or looking at a computer screen. Perhaps even our Bible study time would improve if we drank enough water!
When Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well about water, He drew her attention to Himself as the source of living water. “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14). It’s kind of like an artesian well that feeds from a higher altitude, causing pressure to naturally force the water to spring up.
The Bible verse for this morning describes the righteous as speaking words that are a source of life. We also can be like Jesus and talk with others about God. We can share our faith and point people to Christ, the Fountain of Living Water, who will never leave them feeling spiritually dehydrated. The purest water from Jesus comes from the Bible. When we allow the Lord to guide us, we will “be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail” (Isaiah 58:11).

MILITARY SUPERPOWER
An Amazing Fact: For about 500 years the Roman Empire was the undisputed military powerhouse that conquered most of the Western world. This was in part due to their heavy investment in their military and war machines. Today, there are about 195 countries in the world, and most spend something for their military budget. Of all these countries, however, the United States of America spends the most, taking up 42 percent of the world’s military expenditures. In other words, almost half of the world’s military investment is made by one country!
If you added up the military budgets of Europe, China, Russia, Japan, the Middle East, Australia, East Asia, and Latin America, you’d still have a sum less than what the United States spends on its armed forces. For example, just in 2010 the United States spent $680 billion on the military, whereas the country in second place, China, spent only $85 billion. Interestingly, while the U.S. military budget accounts for 40 percent of global arms spending, it is made up of 4.06 percent of its GDP, which is more than France’s 2.6 percent and less than Saudi Arabia’s 10 percent.
It’s actually low for the United States, which used 37.8 percent of the GDP in 1944. Its lowest point was 3 percent in 1999-2001. But, of course, the word “low” is a relative term when you look at the huge amount spent. No wonder the United States remains, by far, the most powerfully armed nation on Earth— and the “world’s only military superpower.”
The book of Revelation identifies two beasts in the last days that will try to compel a uniform international worship. It will certainly require a large military to enforce this. The Bible says, “So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?’” (Revelation 13:4).
In describing the beast of the earth, John wrote, “He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed” (Revelation 13:15). What nation on Earth has the power to enforce such legislation?

THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE
This sentence is a decree of those who watch, this resolution is an order of the saints, so that the living may know that the Most High rules over the kingdom of men, that he gives it to whom he pleases, and that he raises there the vilest of men.
Daniel 4:17.Adam had been made king of creation. … But when he had disobeyed, he lost that authority. The spirit of revolt to which he had been the first to yield spread throughout the animal kingdom. Thus, it was no longer only the life of man, but also the nature of the animals, the trees of the forest, the grass of the fields and even the air they breathed which repeated to Adam the sad lesson of knowledge of sin. It was not, moreover, the man alone who had fallen under the power of Satan, and who was to be redeemed; there was also our land. … When he was created, Adam had been given dominion over the globe. By yielding to temptation, he became the tempter’s captive, and his fief passed into his hands. Thus, by usurping the dominion of the earth entrusted to Adam, Satan became the “god of this world”. By saying that the kingdom and the glory of the world have been given to him and that he is free to dispose of it, Satan affirms a thing which is only partly true, and his object is to deceive. The dominion that Satan wields, he wrested from Adam; but Adam was only the Creator’s proxy. He was not an independent king. The earth belongs to God, and God has given all things into the hands of his Son. Adam was called to reign under Christ. When Adam had surrendered his sovereignty to Satan, Christ remained the legitimate king. … The kingdoms of this world were offered to Christ, by him who had rebelled in heaven, in return for homage to the principles of evil. But Jesus was not deceived. …
Jesus won the victory through submission and faith in God, and he has us say through an apostle: “Submit yourselves therefore to God; resist the devil, and he will flee from you. …” James 4:7, 8. We cannot escape the power of the tempter on our own; he conquered humanity…; but “the name of the Lord is a stronghold; the just takes refuge there and finds a high retreat there”. Proverbs 18:10.God bless

A Right Conception of Faith Dispels Misunderstandings
“Do we thus nullify the law by faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we uphold the law. (Romans 3:31)
The problem is that in general many people have a false conception of faith. They imagine that it is a simple assent, something passive, to which must be added active works.
But faith is active, and it is not only the most substantial thing, but the only real foundation. The law is the righteousness of God that we are told to seek, but it can only be kept by faith. The only righteousness that stands in judgment comes through “faith in Christ, righteousness from God based on faith” (Philippians 3:9).
For man, to annul the law of God is not to abolish it, because that is impossible. Even though men trample on her and despise her, she remains the same. The only way God’s law can be nullified is through disobedience. Also, when the apostle says that we do not break the law by faith, he means that faith and disobedience are incompatible. No matter how strongly the lawbreaker claims to have faith, the fact that he breaks the law shows that he has no faith.
But the establishment of the law in the heart demonstrates that one is in possession of faith; thus, the human being no longer sins against God.Let no one denigrate faith as if it were of little importance.
Wagoner, Echo Bible, August 1, 1890.
Christ is not asking you to give up all your sins so that you can come to Him and fully belong to Him. He gave himself for you, for your sins and all [your person]; let him come into possession of what He bought. May he enjoy what belongs to Him. Let Him take you, with your sins and all of your being.

Jacques and Paul agree!
For we expect a man to be justified by faith, apart from the works of the law. (Paul, in Romans 3:28) You see, it is by works that a man is justified, and not by faith alone (James 2:24).
Doesn’t the apostle James say faith alone cannot save a man, and that faith without works is dead? Let’s take a look at his statements for a moment.
Too many people with good intentions have perverted [and changed] them into dead legalism. The apostle is in effect saying that faith without works is dead, and this agrees fully with what we have just quoted [from Paul] and written. For if faith without works is dead, the absence of works shows the absence of faith, because what is dead does not exist.
If a human being has faith, works will necessarily appear, and faith excludes all self-glorification. It is only those who trust totally in dead works, or those whose profession of faith is only a deceptive simulacrum, who glorify and boast.
“What good is it for a man to say he has faith, if he has not works? Can faith save him?” (James 2:14) The answer, of course, is no: faith can’t save him. Why? Because he doesn’t have it. Should we deny the power of faith just because it doesn’t work for the one who falsely claims to have it? The fact that he has no good works, no fruit of the Spirit, shows that he has no faith, despite his strident claims. Faith has no power to save a man. human being who does not possess it.Wagoner, Echo Bible, August 1, 1890.
From beginning to end, justification comes from faith alone. Neither the Christian nor the sinner can be justified by works.
But that does not mean that works have nothing to do with faith. The faith that justifies is a faith that makes a human being a doer of the law. No one is justified by faith and works, but by faith alone, faith that works.
Wagoner, Wagoner on Romans, p. 76.

Everything Christ had, you have!
“Take heed lest any prey upon you by philosophy and vain deceit, leaning on the tradition of men, on the rudiments of the world, and not on Christ. For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. You have everything fully in him, who is the head of all dominion and authority. (Colossians 2:8-10)
“In him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9); and He “gives unto you…to be mightily strengthened by his Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith…that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19).
It is true that Christ participated in the divine nature, but so do you, if you are affiliated by the promise and not by the flesh. It is through the promises that you are partakers of the divine nature.
While He was in the world, He did not receive or possess anything that was not given to you freely, or that you could not obtain. And all this so that:you can walk in newness of life;
you therefore no longer served sin;
you are only in the service of justice;
you can be freed from sin;
sin no longer dominates you;
you may glorify God on earth;
you are like Jesus.
“But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ…until we all came to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to the state of a grown man, commensurate with the perfect stature of Christ. (Ephesians 4:7 and 13)“We urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. (2 Corinthians 6:1)

Jesus bears the name of his Father
Daily Devotional
“After having accomplished the purification of sins, he sat down at the right hand of the divine majesty in the very high places, having become so much superior to the angels, that he inherited a name very different from theirs. (Hebrews 1:3-4)
When did he sit at the right hand of God? When he rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, over nineteen hundred years ago. But notice, he had done the cleansing of sins before he set there. Are you happy that he cleansed your sins for so long? In him it is a reality. In him we find that. Thank him for it.
And that is the contrast between Christ and the angels. Where is Christ? Where God is, and the angels of God worship Him. The Father calls him God (Hebrews 1:8-9) “He has inherited a more excellent name” than the angels (Hebrews 1:4). Each of us has inherited a name. It’s our father’s name. We bear this name from the beginning of our existence. It belongs to us by nature. It is also by way of “heredity” that the Lord Jesus received his name “God”. This name belongs to him by nature. It wasn’t that he was something else, and then called to make him God; but he was God, and was called God because he is God.
Jones, General Conference Bulletin, 1895, p. 219.
The Father rejoiced that His Son was “the outpouring of his glory and the expression of his being,” and that he was filled with “all the fulness of the godhead” (Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 2:9 ). He therefore has “life in himself” (John 5:26). He possesses immortality: it is his own, and he can attribute it to others.
Wagoner, Christ and His Ritghteousness, p. 22.
Therefore, “he can perfectly save those who approach God through him, always living to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25).

February 7, 2022 at 8:04 am#900006carmelParticipantHi, Gene,
YOU; Berean……Let’s listen to what Jesus said about that for a change OK.
JOHN 17; 1-4…..These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven , and said, Father, the hour is come, glorify thy Son , that thy Son may also may glorify you:
ME: DID YOU LISTEN TO JESUS Gene??? READ AGAIN PLEASE
the hour is come, glorify thy Son , (FIRST AND FOREMOST, then afterword)
that thy Son may also glorify you:
as you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give “eternal life” to as many as “YOU” GIVE , him. And this is “ETERNAL LIFE”, that they might know “You”, THE “ONLY” TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom “YOU” HAVE SENT.
“I HAVE GLORIFIED “YOU”, on the earth: I have finished the works , which “YOU” have given me to do.”
Me: Gene, JESUS GLORIFIED THE FATHER ON EARTH, BELIEVE IT OR NOT,
FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!
John 1:1 IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD,
and the Word was with God, (IN ONE GLORY, THE FATHER IN THE SON AND THE SON IN THE FATHER JOHN 10:30, 14: 9,10,17:5)
and the Word was God. (PHYSICALLY GOD’S EMBODIMENT John17: 10)
2The same was in the beginning with God. (OF THE WORLD, Genesis 1:2-3….)
3All things were made by him: (BY JESUS SPIRIT HE EMPTIED HIMSELF AND POURED HIS SPIRIT IN ALL CREATURES, ETERNAL LIFE)
and WITHOUT HIM was made nothing that was made.
NO JESUS NO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON, THE KINGDOM OF GOD!
You: Now tell us who was Jesus glorifying. Himself or God the Father? So why do you push God the father said and
give Jesus the Man all the glory, that is not what Jesus “EVER” DID.
John12:28 Father, glorify thy name.(JESUS CHRIST, GOD’S NAME AS A HUMAN IN JESUS. YOU SEE ME YOU SEE THE FATHER/I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE/ ALL THINGS DIVINE, ARE GIVEN TO ME BY MY FATHER! EVEN HIS NAME, AS JESUS CHRIST, ISAIAH 9:6 ….. God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, …. )
A voice therefore came from heaven:
I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.(ON MOUNT TABOR JESUS MANIFESTED GOD PHYSICALLY)
You: As I have said before you people preach Jesus but do not believe what he says about himself or God the Father either.
ME: Gene read what Jesus SAID ABOUT HIMSELF AND THE FATHER:
John17:22 And the glory which thou HAST GIVEN me…..
Gene THE ABOVE IS IN PRESENT PERFECT TENSE, A PROOF THAT JESUS PRE-EXISTED AND JESUS CONFIRMED THAT THE FATHER GLORIFIED JESUS!
Keep on reading:
Johnn17:24 Father, I will that WHERE I AM,( JESUS CONFIRMS THAT HE IS ALSO IN HEAVEN, OBVIOUS GOD PHYSICALLY John 17:5)
they also whom thou hast given me may be with me;
that they may see MY GLORY
which thou HAST GIVEN me, (PRESENT PERFECT TENSE)
because thou hast loved me before the creation of the world.
OK, Gene, John17:5 is repeated again emphatically by Jesus and declared that
HE PRE-EXISTED
GLORIFIED TOGETHER WITH THE FATHER
JESUS PHYSICALLY AND THE FATHER, SPIRIT WITHIN AS
JESUS CHRIST
John16:25 These things I have spoken to you in proverbs. The hour cometh, when I will no more speak to you in proverbs,
but will show you PLAINLY of the Father

Stronger than Satan, even dead!
“I was dead, and here I am alive forever and ever. I hold the keys to death and Hades. (Revelation 1:18)
It was through deception that Satan became the head of the world. By putting Adam under his control, he found himself at the head of the kingdom of this world, and of all the principalities and powers therein.
But someone stronger than him came into the world. A second Adam came, not as the first Adam was, but as the first Adam caused his descendants to become, in the regeneration which the race had attained since the first Adam. This second Adam came and challenged the sovereignty of him who had taken possession [of the world].
He who came into this rebellious kingdom proved to be stronger than the one who took possession of it, and He defeated him in every way. And Jesus didn’t just defeat Satan during His lifetime. But to show the universe how much more powerful He was than he was, He gave himself up to death, at the hands of the ruler of this world. This one locked Him up in his fortress, death.
And even then He broke the power of Satan! The battle has been fought and won.Thus, Christ demonstrated that he is stronger than Satan, not only when he is alive, but also when he is dead. So He rose from the grave, and He cried out before the universe, “Behold, I live forever and ever; I hold the keys of death and hell. »
Well, if a dead Christ is stronger than all the power of the devil, what can’t a living Christ do that’s setting at the right hand of God today? Is there any reason for us to be discouraged? Is there any reason to be afraid, even in the presence of all the principalities, powers and authorities, that the devil can muster on earth? The power of Jesus has rallied to our cause, His living power. His powerful “death” would be enough, wouldn’t it? But He doesn’t stop there.
Waggoner on Romans, p. 436 and 437.
February 8, 2022 at 4:03 am#900016GeneBalthropParticipantBerean…..But you don’t believe it was an actual “SECOND ADAM” , RIGHT , IT WAS A PREEXISTING BEING THAT CAME TO EARTH , IS WHAT YOU BELIEVE. So again you deny. Scriptures, the same as all Trinitarians do. Adam was a new creation by God, Jesus was also a new creation of God. They both were the first kind of a Creation, they both were a human creation, the only difference is the first Adam, was not yet raised to eternal life yet after his death, the second Adam was raised from the dead to eternal life, which he did not have before his resurrection from the dead by God.
Your still separating Jesus from his “MANY” brothers and sisters. Exactly as Carmel does.

Christ has the keys to our prison
“Because I live,…you also will live. (John 14:19)
Jesus entered the very fortress of that illegitimate power which makes this world a power against right and justice. He came out with the keys, and he still has them.
If therefore this illegitimate power manages to imprison one of us in the same prison, that does not matter; he cannot keep us there, for our Friend has the keys to it. He stripped principalities and powers (Colossians 2:15). Coming out of this realm of death, he took away a multitude of captives. He showed them in spectacle, in a great triumphal parade. Here in Colossians 2:15 the verb “overcome” refers to the Roman triumph. This honor was awarded to the general who had gone to an enemy country, who had taken booty, taken prisoners, and brought them back to his city. If ever Roman citizens were in captivity in this country, he brought them home. When his victory was total, the Senate gave him a triumph, and everyone was present in this great gala day.
Jesus Christ, our Conqueror, has entered enemy territory. We were prisoners under the power of this illegitimate ruler. Our General fought all our battles to the end and broke down the gate of the fortress. He brings captives back and leads them triumphantly into His own glorious city.Jesus died like a malefactor, insulted, beaten, manhandled, mocked; they spat on him, they crowned him with thorns, and he died in these conditions, in his appeal to the power of what is right and good against [that of] force. And this power of right and what is right has moved the world since then, and it must move it today like never before.
Wagoner on Romans., p. 437.
