    Hi Mike and All,

YOU: Flesh and bone is just the more popular Greek idiom, as compared to our more popular version, “flesh and blood”.  They both mean the same thing… flesh, blood, bone, muscle, nerves, heart, teeth, eyes, etc.

But are you suggesting that Jesus was raised from the grave as a bloodless human being?

ME: Jesus used the word flesh and blood and Paul used the word flesh and blood. The only time you see the words in the NT flesh and bone is reference to the body of Christ after he rose from the dead.

Yes I am suggesting that Jesus is a bloodness human being.

The blood is for the life of the flesh, but this certainly does not seem to be the case in the resurrection. If Jesus and those that are his who are resurrected are of blood, it certainly is no longer for the life of the flesh anyway.

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood…14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof

John 4: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Rev 21:6 I will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

22: 1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

I am under the impression that water baptism is a ritual that pictures a future fulfillment.

Jesus was baptized where he came up from the water and was begotten of God’s Spirit in fullness, as promised God was going to call the son of Jesse to righteousness and direct all his ways. Jesus told John that he had to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness. We are told that Jesus left the river Jordan having been filled with the Spirit and was being led by God.

Interesting how they pierced Jesus and blood and water came out. Jesus was raised receiving the promised Holy Spirit, and I believe he was of flesh and bone where in him now was a well of water bringing forth his body into eternal life.

In baptism we confess our faith in God and in His Son, and we repent of our sins, and the immersion of water represents being cleansed of our sin, however upon our baptism we are not fully directed by God, we can still sin. We are to walk as Paul says in this life mortifying the deeds of the body looking forward to the day of “the redemption of our body”.

How is it in the resurrection that we walk without sin? Like Jesus we are promised to receive the Holy Spirit. We are told God gives us a heart of flesh and of His Spirit that causes us to walk in all his ways. By the Spirit in fullness with God being all in, we are not capable of sin.

John 3: 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Is it possible in the resurrection we are born of water, and are born of the fullness of the Spirit, and by that birth we enter into the kingdom of God, where our flesh no longer lives by blood, but now has a well of water within that brings forth our bodies into eternal life?

    Hi t8,

Yes flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

First, the flesh profits nothing, man can do nothing of himself, flesh and blood is not capable of bringing forth it’s own salvation. It is not by flesh and blood that we can inherit the kingdom of God, it is the work of God’s Spirit.

Second, we are told that Jesus was raised being of flesh and bones, not flesh and blood.

Jesus WAS raised in glory, in power, incorruptible. He was raised receiving the promised Holy Spirit and on that day we are told that he was begotten by God. We are likewise told that he is to sit on his father David’s throne ACCORDING to the FLESH.

11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

His resurrection is our resurrection, not our resurrection is some change Jesus was given when he ascended to God.

He sits at God’s right hand as the Son of a HUMAN, and he returns to earth as a Son of a HUMAN, sitting on a throne according to the FLESH.

    Hi Jodi,

Why does Jesus tell us he is “the son of God” if he really isn’t?

Edj…..why does the scriptures call Adam the son of God? Why does scripture say , know you not that “now” we are the sons of the Living  God.  Who ever has the SPIRIT OF God In them are sons of GOD,  why do you think being a son of God somehow prevents you from being a human being?, no scripture says that.

Peace and love to you and yours. ………..gene

    Hi Gene,

I don’t. Why don’t you pay attention to what actually I say?

Hi Gene, to refresh your memory, here is what I said:
    (Matthew 1:18 / Matthew 1:20 / Luke 1:35) (Luke 10:30-37)

    Jesus lineage explained

“Son of Man”: 25%; Mary’s mother’s lineage was of the tribe of Levi. (Luke 1:5, 1:36)
“Son of Man”: 25%: Mary’s father’s lineage was (Judah) through Nathan(son of David). (Luke 3:23-31)
“Son of God”: 50%: Jesus’ Father was the “HolySpirit”; NOT Joseph! (Mathew 1:18 / Mathew 1:20 / Luke 1:35)

    At birth: Jesus was 50% HolySpirit(God)(Matt.1:18 / Matt.1:20 / Luke 1:35), 25% Levite(Priest) and 25% Judah(King)!
At baptism by John the baptizer, Jesus was filled with the HolySpirit(God) beyond measure! (John 3:34 / John 1:14)

Here is why Jesus is called both the “Son of Man” and the “Son of God”…

    ……………….Mother……….Father
    ………………..Mary………HolySpirit
    …………………50%…………50%
    ……………………\……………/
    ……………………..\………../
    ………………………..Jesus
    ………………………./…….\
    ……………………./…………\
    …………………../…………….\
    ……….Son of Man…….Son of God
    ………..(Mark 6:3)……..(Luke 1:35)

Edj…..Why not address things you “actually say”?  that the whole problem here , people say things they can’t scripturally support, and expect us to believe them.  Same old problem, same old results.

Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene
