Gscriptures says that Satan exist but he does not jump from one to another,
actually he as the do nothing what he did is already done and that is to stand against God his creator ,in Eden ,
Nimrod the man was the declared man to stand against God his creator ,and from there all the basess in the world were set ,
wen Christ came he came and tell men of this but also give a way out and return to God our creator ,but as you can still see even today not many like the truth ,and serve God their creator but rather serve themselves ,
this is why it says;;Jn 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
it is all to what men wants either good or evil

Gene, the words I bolded sure seem to speak of BEINGS with minds and wills of their own. It was their wills that caused them to beg Jesus not to torture them, right? It was their minds that noticed the pigs, and their wills that desired to be sent into them instead of “out of the area”, and therefore asked permission from Jesus for this to happen, right?
Plus, why would Jesus be asking for a name, if the one he was asking wasn't even a being. Does the Holy Spirit have a personal name? No. That's a good sign that it is not a being. But the demons in this case had names, right?

Mike………..Jesus as the Man what his mane was and it was the Many that replied back to Him . It was the man that came and fell in front of Jesus Not some Spook you call a Satan or devil.The Spirit (intellect) of the man Knew it was Jesus the son of the most High . It was the man who ask him to swear to God he would not torture him Because Jesus had said to the “MAN”, for the evil spirit to come out of HIM. Evil Spirits can take a man mind over if he allows it and seek it, Just as Good Spirits Can also. But Spirits, good or evil are not “BEINGS” as You wrongly assume. They are cognate forces of Good or Evil and exist in all Physical creation and can go in and out of People. But that does not make them “BEINGS with their OWN WILLS, they always induce what they (ARE), either Good or Evil, Makes no difference they all influence the Minds of Man.
Just as they influenced the Mind of the Man possessed with those evil spirits that Jesus cast out. All unclean Spirit cause unclean thought in whoever they are (IN), Just as Clean Spirits (intellects) cause clean thought in the Person they are (IN), But none of them are Persons or “BEING” themselves.
Evil Spirits gender to Evil spirits more and more , Just as Good Spirits gender to good Spirits more and more. Therefore it Says Make the tree good and its fruit good or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt , for “EVERY TREE IS KNOWN BY ITS FRUIT”. ALL MEN and WOMEN are (INFLUENCED) By Spirits either clean or unclean , either good or evil because that is what cognate thought is, and that is the LIFE of that Being (IT) is (IN)> God who (IS) Spirit was truly (IN) Jesus By virtue of His Spirits all Seven of them and still is (IN) Him. These spirits are God (INTELLECTS) given to Jesus and those He gives them to.
