Gene,

Mike………..So to you the rulers of this world are your invisible Satan's and devils and demons. Even though Paul did not say that, Only you and Nick say that, Well to me they are People human beings who have been allowed power and control over the governments of this earth by the ONLY REAL God. They are clearly seen to me, and everyone else, that is not blinded by superstitions, while your invisible demon Gods and devils Gods, that jump in and out of people are not seen. The force that drives all Men are Spirits (intellects) that are (IN) them and that is the Evil of this world as John said, “for all the is (IN) the world the Lust of the eyes and the Lust of the Flesh and Pride of Life are (FROM THE WORLD)”, not some elusive unseen or invisible “BEING called the DEVIL or SATAN GOD, you and Nick believe in that is in control of this world as you both falsely assume. Who suggested that accountability did not fall on men for their actions?
I was going to ask Gene the same thing, Nick. I don't recall anyone in this discussion claiming “the Devil made me do it” defense.
Mike………..O really, then who did you and Nick say made Peter say what he said to Jesus when He Jesus called Him a SATAN? According to you and Nick it was a SATAN a “BEING” that caused it. You both talk out if both sides of your mouths on the one hand you want us to be responsible of our actions as i also believe we are, but on the other side you say a Satan or Devil is doing it all and then say God , (a Just GOD), will hold us responsible for what some other GOD is Doing by jumping into us and taking control of our minds and “CAUSING” us to do His will. Now how does the Make GOD a “JUST” GOD in Your distorted books.Fact is we bring into our Own lives what we say and Do by receiving it from the World Just as John said, and this becomes our very “BEING” and it is all recieved from Spirits rather GOOD or EVIL which ever we open up our minds to will come in and influence us rather good or evil and we ourselves are held accountable for our actions.
Just as the Egyptians were held accountable for the creation of their False GOD'S and the only TRUE GOD rained JUDGMENT on the Whole Land of Egypt for what They themselves were doing by following FALSE GOD'S of their own IMAGINATIONS.
Mike you and Nike both make GOD and Jesus unrighteous by your false assumption of what they are saying.
May be this will help, It shown how the LORD GOD thinks.
Eze 33:8…….> When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man , thou shalt surely die; if you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, the wicked man shall die in “HIS” iniquity, but his blood will i require at your hand. Verse 9…> Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked or “HIS” way to turn from it : if he do not turn from “HIS” way he shall die in “HIS” iniquity; but you shall deliver your soul.
Eze 33: 11……….> Therefore, O you son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If “OUR” transgression and “OUR” sins be upon “US” and “WE” pine away in them, How should “WE” then Live? ,vers 11 Say unto them, as i live says the LORD GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn form his way and live: turn ye turn ye from “YOUR” evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel.
Vers 12……….> Therefore , you son of man say unto the childern of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of “HIS” transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fail thereby in the day that he turns from “HIS” wickedness: neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sins>
Vers 13…..> When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall “Surely live”; if he trust in his “OWN” righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousness shall not be remembered, but for his iniquity that “HE” has committed, “HE” shall dies for it.
Vers 14….> Again if i say unto the wicked , you shall surely die; it he turn from his sin, and do the which is lawful and right; 15, if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the “STATUES OF LIFE” without committing iniquity, he shall surely live. he shall not die.
Eze33:19….> Yet the childern of thy people say the way of the Lord is not EQUAL: but as for them their way is not “EQUAL”
Eze 33:20 Yet you say, the way of the Lord is not “EQUAL”. O you house of Israel. I will Judge you every “AFTER HIS WAYS”.
Mike and Nick no “SATAN” Cop-put Here now is there. God does not Judge us according to a Satan or Devils or demon “BEINGS” jumping in and out of us controlling us at their wills , but according to “OUR OWN WAY” and OUR OWN DOINGS” we will be Judged every one of Us, IMO
peace and love to you and yours………………………….gene

yes mike ,good scripture ,but Gene and Nick does not understand those sort of scriptures ,the dilemma that Paul want to make here is that Satan is trying by all his means to prevent true worshipers to fulfill their vows to the true God,and so the fight that they have is not with weapon but in the wrong views of this world ,the corruption of Gods words ,and so show the struggle trough those mind benders ideas of the world what was created by Satan the father of lies and crime ,
even on this forum we fight the battle for truth ,that so many can not see because of the devil works,

I knew I shouldn't have made that last post, because I knew that you would focus on that one instead of my previous post.Gene, I'm waiting to find out who you think gave the human priests of Pharaoh the power to turn staffs into snakes, or turn water into blood. Where did these human get this power?
I'm waiting to find out who you think brought wrath down upon God's people after the Moabite king sacrificed his son to Chemosh, his god.
I'm waiting to find out how you think God “passed judgment upon” or “punished” pieces of stone.
Please address these points for me.
(Also, if you'll recall, I do not agree with Nick and Kerwin that Peter literally had a “Satan” inside of him. I think Jesus was calling him “Satan” in the way someone would say, “Shut up, Hitler!” to one who was acting like a dictator.)

Good post, but Nick is with us on this one. Our fight on this subject is against the evil powers of darkness………………. and Gene.
It is said that the greatest feat Satan ever performed is convincing people that he doesn't even exist. So far, he has Gene so convinced of this that he is willing to ignore even the words of Jesus himself.

Why was Jesus not addressing a satan?
Your opinion? What spirit were James and John of in Lk 9.55?

NLk 9:53 but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem.
Lk 9:54 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them ?”
Lk 9:55 But Jesus turned and rebuked them,
Lk 9:56 and they went to another village.Lk 9:57 As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”
Lk 9:58 Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
Lk 9:59 He said to another man, “Follow me.”
But the man replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
Lk 9:60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”
Lk 9:61 Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family.”
Lk 9:62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”this takes understanding

Nick,I simply refuse to believe that Jesus' right hand man on earth was possessed by a demon – as if Jesus was preaching day to day, side by side with his adversary.
As for Luke 9:55, I believe Jesus was showing they needed a spirit of forgiveness and mercy, instead of one of vengeance and killing.
I don't think Jesus was saying James and John were of Satan instead of God.

As are you, Nick.Tell me, is it POSSIBLE that Jesus was calling Peter “Satan” in a way such as one would call another “Hitler” for acting like a bossy dictator?
Or is that a complete impossibility in your mind?

Why is that? Are there absolutely no occurances in the whole of scripture that happened only once? I can show you many.Quote (Nick Hassan @ May 27 2012,14:44) If a carnal man like Simon had a demon should Jesus have left it alone for the sake of his pride?

You need to take another view of scripture.
It is compiled very carefully and supports itself.
