    Hi ED,
But your expressed opinions are not you or Spirit are they?

    Hi ED,
OUT of your mouth comes what the heart is full of.
Your words EXPRESS you and your thoughts.

    Thanks Mike

It took me a whole night to understand what Ed was trying to show me. We both had the same scripture, but interpreted it differently, which is why I couldn't understand where Ed was coming from. But I haven't heard from Ed, so I'll wait for him to confirm if that's what he meant. Maybe he didn't mean that?

    Hi journey,

Yeah, for some reason, Ed believes the Holy Spirit OF God is God Himself. Be prepared for him to mention Acts 5:3-4 next. (Of course he'll pretend that Acts 5:9 doesn't exist.)

    Hi MB,
Indeed the Spirit of God is God.
But God is more than His Spirit.

God was in Christ yet Christ Jesus told us to pray to
“Our Father which art IN HEAVEN..”

    Hmmmm……….

“The bicycle OF Nick IS Nick.”

“The girlfriend OF John IS John.”

“The spirit OF Mike IS Mike.”

Nick, the last one only works if the first two also work. Do they?

Btw, God wasn't literally inside of Jesus at any time. God remained in heaven the whole time Jesus existed on earth.

    Hi MB,
You will always be confused if you rely on logic alone.
God's ways are not your ways.

    Hi MB,
The Spirit is of God and fully represents and expresses God in His creation.
    The finger of God.

    But God IS in heaven.

    Mindless fluff, Nick.

These are the typical words of the desperate ones, who know full well their doctrines aren't logical.

Btw, do you claim to have a better understanding of God than I do, Nick?  Are God's ways Nick's ways?  Has God shown you all things, Nick?  Has He, who is not a God of confusion, convinced you that scriptural truths must call for illogical confusion?

You make these “Holier than thou” comments to everyone on this site, Nick.  You sure can be an arrogant little man, can't you?

    Hi:

God throne is in heaven(He is a living soul, with a mind, a will and emotions), but he can be everywhere by His Spirit. A person is defined by the life that he lives, and God has said to Israel “be ye Holy for I am Holy”. His Holy Spirit is the life of God.

    Love in Christ,
    Marty

Hi Journey42, God's spirit is God, like your spirit is you.

I have started different threads in then regard…

HolySpirit is “GOD: The Father” of Jesus Christ

“The Word” is really the “HolySpirit”; traditions of men say otherwise?

God's words come from Spirit and are Spirit

    God bless

    Hi Ed

You are correct to an extent.  But your explanation causes confusion.  Man only need to know that the holy spirit is the spirit of truth, and the comforter which comes from God. If you have this spirit in you (the truth) then you have been given a gift from God.  It's a little helping hand.  We need this spirit in us to take part in the first resurrection. Why make it so confusing?  and argue back and forth.  Do you think God likes to see his saints bickering over and over, and in public view?  Do you not know that the saints will be the teachers in the kingdom?

Luke 11:13   If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Ephesians 1:13   In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 4:30   And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

1 Thessalonians 4:8   He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

Matthew 12:32   And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

    Hi Georgie,

    No, I'm sure God likes to see his people well informed;
that is why he sent first apostles, secondarily
prophets, thirdly teachers. (1 Cor 12:28)

If I have said anything that is confusing to you, then
please ask and I will try to clarify it for you; OK, Georgie?

Hi Georgie, is this difficult to understand or confusing?

    God's Spirit and God's word are both “GOD”;
like your spirit and your word are both you.

God's spirit is not another person, and
God's word is not another person.
    Is that difficult to understand?

    Hi Ed

Maybe I can put it this way

Is God sitting on his throne in heaven, or is his throne inside my body and other bodies as well?

    Hi Georgie,

“The heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him” (2 Chron 2:6)
“God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them;” (2 Cor 6:16)
God's HolySpirit is everywhere Georgie. (see Psalm 139:4-13)

I still can't understand how Ed can post the words “God's Holy Spirit” while trying to prove that God IS HIS Holy Spirit.

    Hi Mike,

It is like saying the spirit of Mike is confrontational sometimes.
Mike's spirit likes to try to prove his ideas are always correct.
