Does 1 Peter 2:6-8 & Isaiah 8:12-15 read together prove that Jesus is God because he is the stumbling stone?

    Philippians 2 does not say Jesus is God but it instead declares he has the form of God. If Paul wanted to make the point Jesus was God then he would have clearly stated “though he was the God …” but he did not. He instead chose to link “being in the form of God” to being in the form of a servant”. We are told about the form of the servant in Matthew 20:26, 23:11, and Luke 22:26. In short the Spiritual sees that any one that bears the Spiritual form of God will take on the Spiritual form of a servant. That is the mind Christians are to have.

    Your reasoning is declaring that Trinity was reduced to a Binity when Jesus was conceived in Mary’s womb and still remain one as Jesus is still a human being the serves as mediator between God and mankind.

    5 For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor.

    If he was created lower than the angels how is it you see Jesus as God?

    Jesus’ identity as God is defined here as a state of “being equal to” God..(which he laid aside)

    not that He is the Father – but is One with the Father.. (perfect unity)

    this also confirms John 1

    ..with God – was God..

    “I and the Father..” (two)

    “..are One.”

    Why is it you guys think you are somehow different than DavidL? He is saying that Jesus is an indespensible part of worshiping God so he doesn’t give Jews a pass to him if Jews don’t believe in Jesus they don’t believe in God, but somehow you guys make concession for the “Jews denying Jesus” But if anyone else says they can Love God without Jesus you respond same as david and deny that it is possible so in away DavidL is being more honest

    Bod, I will answer your question, but I want to remind you that the Believers Area is for those who believe in God and Jesus Christ the son of God. There is a Skeptics Area that is also frequented where you can cast your doubts on our gospel and scriptures. This way conversations stay on track and are less likely to be derailed and changed into  promotion of other religions or cults etc. It is not a matter of bias, but keeping conversations on track. You are also free to debate with others in the Debate forum.

    John 14:6
    Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

    John 17:21
    I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

    John 10:1-2
     “I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.”

    1 John 2:23
    No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

    Islam denies the son. We want no part in it and we can be one with God by acceptance of God’s son. If we deny the son, we cannot be one with God.

    Bodhitharta,

    The judgement of each person is migrated by what he knows. A man that hears a way to stop sinning and rejects it will be judged more harshly than a man who does not hear that way. It is no different whether you are a Jew or a Gentile.

    From the above we are aware that although Jesus was not yet glorified,

    obvious GOD IS HIDDEN WITHIN HIM! THE FACT THAT JESUS IS THE MEDIATOR SPIRIT!

    Rev 13: 8 And all that dwell upon the earth adored him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb, WHICH WAS SLAIN FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD,9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.

    Have you got an ear, Nick, WITH EVERY RESPECT?

    The above it simply made it clear that “THE WORD” Jesus’ spirit, the only mediator spirit, was sacrificed by the deity to achieve, and sustain all through him for eternity!

    THE FACT THAT IT IS THE SON’S KINGDOM!

    So “THE WORD” was, and still is and it will remain for eternity the fundamental divine element sealed hidden ATTACHED TO and within creation, and is the vital spirit for the Father’s ABODE through the Holy Spirit, and from within, He created all, the fact that “THE WORD”, from that moment in time on, was and is as I said above , DIRECTLY ATTACHED TO THE ENTIRE CREATURES, INCLUDING SATAN! OTHERWISE NOTHING WOULD EXIST, AND FUNCTIONS SUBJECT TO GOD!

    I must repeat!

    READ:

    John 6:27 …………………which the SON OF MAN will give you. For him hath God,
    THE FATHER SEALED.

    Ok, notice the SON OF MAN! Due to the fact that it is a reference to the flesh, OBVIOUS “THE WORD” sealed in the process of creation!

    So whether a creature accept CHRIST OR NOT, JESUS’SPIRIT, “THE WORD” REMAINS IN THAT CREATURE, SIMPLY TO MAINTAIN ETERNAL LIFE WITHIN HIM, NO MATTER HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE THAT CREATURE TO RETURN TO GOD THE FATHER!

    TO YOUR POINT:

    Now in order for a person to be part of Christ’s kingdom, and also obtain the right to have God as his Father, HE MUST ACCEPT JESUS’ GOSPEL, PRACTICE IT, IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH AND DECLARE JESUS CHRIST AS THE REDEEMER, OBVIOUS,

    Let’s reflect on these scriptures hereunder now!

    In order to distinguish the difference between the Holy Spirit from the father, and THE HOLY SPIRIT FROM THE SON, OR AS WE ALL KNOW CHRIST’S SPIRIT!

    Acts 10:30 And Cornelius said: Four days ago, unto this hour, I was praying in my house, at the ninth hour, and behold a man stood before me in white apparel, and said:
    Acts 10:31Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your alms are had in remembrance in the SIGHT OF GOD.

    CORNELIUS PRACTICALLY BECAME GOD’S PROPERTY AND NOT YET BAPTISED! GOT IT!

    HOW DID GOD KNEW REGARDING THE WORK BY CORNELIUS, IN THE SPIRIT AND TRUTH OF CHRIST!

    PRACTICING THE GOSPEL AND NOT EVEN A CHRISTIAN?

    READ:

    John10 27 My sheep hear my voice: EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS OK?

    GOT IT? CORNELIUS HEARD JESUS’ GOSPEL SO UNOFFICIALLY, HE WAS BORN AGAIN IN THE SPIRIT FOR SURE! NO?

    BUTT HOW?????

    and I know them, and they follow me

    SO JESUS’SPIRIT, “THE WORD” SLAIN FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD,WITHIN THE PROCESS OF CREATION, AND IN THIS CASE WITHIN CORNELIUS, KNEW HIM, KNEW HIS ALMS, AND HEARD HIS PRAYERS, SO HE WAS JESUS’S SHEEP, HE HEARD HIM FROM WITHIN HIM AND ACTED ACCORDINGLY!

    So the fact that Cornelius heard Jesus’ words although he was not baptised, it is only through the fact that God established PURPOSELY IN THE VERY BEGINNING the process of “THE WORD” and GOD THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT within, HIDDEN IN “THE WORD” AND “THE WORD” IS DIRECTLY WITHIN AND ATTACHED TO ALL CREATURES, GOD GENERALLY HEARD CORNELIUS AND SENT HIS ANGEL TO HIM!

    A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF JESUS’SPIRIT “THE WORD”AS THE MEDIATOR SPIRIT, BETWEEN GOD AND HIS CREATURES!

    And not yet baptised OK?

    John10:28 And I give them life everlasting; and they shall not perish for ever, and no man shall pluck them out of my hand.

    SO ONCE A PERSON, NO MATTER WHO, LIVE IN CHRIST IN THE TRUTH, HE IS GOD’S PROPERTY! NO ONE SHALL PLUCK HIM OUT OF JESUS’ HAND,

    SO BAPTISM IS ONLY A DECLARATION ON EARTH FOR SATAN TO BE AWARE THAT HE LOST THAT SOUL! KEEP AWAY FROM IT IT’S USELESS!

    AND IN GOD’S EYES ,SPIRITUALLY, THAT SOUL IS HIS, OK NICK??? SINCE HE LIVED IN CHRIST IN THE SPIRIT AND TRUTH! HE LIVED WITHIN CHRIST’S KINGDOM WHILE ON EARTH!

    Acts 10:36 God sent the word to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all.)

    EVEN IF NOT YET BAPTISED! OK?

    It is JESUS’ spirit WITHIN CORNELIUS, “THE WORD” that gave life, the flesh ALTHOUGH IS NOT BAPTISED, COUNTED FOR NOTHING!

    OBVIOUS THE FACT THAT JESUS’ SPIRIT “THE WORD” WITHIN ALL CREATURES IS RULING IN THE TRUTH, AS HE DECLARED FROM THE CROSS:

    WHEN I AM LIFTED UP ALL THINGS COME UNTO ME!

    and in 1John 5:8 And there are three that give testimony on earth: the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are one.
