Did Jesus pre-exist before his birth on Earth?

Where did Jesus come from?

John 6:38-40
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me; and this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up at the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

The first verse suggests that Jesus came down from Heaven. This seems to contradict that belief which suggests he first existed as a man when he was born into this world. For if Jesus came into existence for the first time when he was conceived through Mary, how could he come down from Heaven? We (Man) came into existence when we are born into this world, but would it be correct to say that we came down from Heaven too? If a verse said that we came down from Heaven, would you think that we pre-existed in Heaven? If so, then why not Jesus?

John 3:17 is another verse that provides support that Jesus came down from Heaven or was sent rather than created.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

The word ‘send’ is the Greek word ‘apostello’.

apostello {ap-os-tel’-lo}
1) to order (one) to go to a place appointed
2) to send away, dismiss
2a) to allow one to depart, that he may be in a state of liberty
2b) to order one to depart, send off
2c) to drive away

To be sent surely implies existence otherwise you would just say born or created. In fact this word (sent) is similar in meaning and sound to the word Apostle (apostolos), which means “one sent forth with orders”. To be sent forth with order, you must exist.

John 6:62
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

Jesus is clearly stating here that he came from above since he eventually ascended into Heaven to be at the right-hand of God.

How old is Jesus?

John 1:15
15 John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.‘ “

John the Baptist was six months older than Jesus Christ. So it is physically impossible for Christ to be before him in age. If this verse is referencing age, then it shows preexistence. Jesus existed before  John the Baptist in the least.

John 8:58
“I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!

Jesus claimed to exist before Abraham, the father of the Jews. The words ‘I am’ mean ‘I exist’. So Jesus claimed existence before Abraham. We can see that Jesus is getting older as we explore the scriptures. But how old?

Jude 1:25
to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Here we can see that majesty, power, and authority through Jesus Christ is before all ages (all worlds) and forever more into the future. This strongly implies that Jesus existed even before all things. But can we substantiate this?

Did Jesus exist before all creation?

Colossians 1:17
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Colossians answers the question outright. It states that “He is before all things“.  But are there other verses that support this idea?

John 1:3
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

So there is nothing that was made that didn’t involve Jesus being there. This verse alone answers the question because the universe, angels, and men were made and Jesus was present when they were created according to these verses. In case that is not enough to convince you, I also add another clear verse that says the same thing.

Hebrews 1:1-2
1 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

Is Jesus the Word of God?

But some say that this is talking about the Word and not all believe that Jesus is the Word of God. They argue that Jesus came from the Word, but is not the Word itself that was with God in John 1:1. If you believe this, then please explain the next two verses within their wider context:

Revelation 19:13
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Colossians 1:15-18
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

Okay, if you are honest, this is a closed case. God created all things through the Word. Jesus is called the Word of God and also the son of God. We are also told that God created all things through the son of God. Even if you do not believe that Jesus is the Word, then you still have to believe that Jesus pre-existed on account of him being the son of God. But what we know from scripture is that Jesus existed as the Word of God before he came as a man called Jesus. We know that the Word became flesh.

More proof verses

If Jesus pre-existed, then you might expect that even though the above verses are clear, there would be more verses that teach or at least imply that he pre-existed. So let’s see if this is the case.

Revelation 22:16
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

Here we see that Jesus is the offspring of David, yet he is also the root of David, which at appears to show existence before King David. He also claims to be the bright Morning Star and we read in Job how the Morning Stars were present when God created the Earth.

Job 38:6-7
“On what were its bases sunk? Or who laid its cornerstone, When the morning stars sang together And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Luke 10:18
He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

Comparing Luke 10:18 with Revelation 12:1-10, some say that Satan and his angels fell to the earth before the birth of Christ as a man. If this was the case, then Jesus saw an event that took place before he was born as a man. However, others argue that Satan hasn’t fallen to the Earth yet, or that he has, but Jesus saw this in a vision. Regardless, it certainly doesn’t contradict that Jesus pre-existed.

Micah 5:2
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

The above verse talks about someone who will rule Israel and whose origin is from ancient times. Who but Jesus could fit that description?

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God/Divine.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[ 1:14 Or the Only Begotten] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Clearly, Jesus was with God in the beginning as the Word of God. This places his existence as before all things and thus comes as no surprise that he was there when God created all things.

The Angel of YHWH

We know from certain scriptures that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath and many assume that Jesus gave the Law of God. We are told in Acts:7:30-39 for instance that an Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses through whom God spoke and this is the same Angel who spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai and passed on the living words (The Law) to Moses.

30 “After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.
31 When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to look more closely, he heard the Lord’s voice:
32 ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.’Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.
33 “Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off your sandals; the place where you are standing is holy ground.
34 I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’
35 “This is the same Moses whom they had rejected with the words, ‘Who made you ruler and judge?’ He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
36 He led them out of Egypt and did wonders and miraculous signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea and for forty years in the desert.
37 “This is that Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will send you a prophet like me from your own people.’
38 He was in the assembly in the desert, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and he received living words to pass on to us.
39 “But our fathers refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.

So is this Angel of the Lord, Jesus? Well it seems possible. Perhaps the correct model to look at is the one mentioned in Revelation 1:1

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

Here we can see that the order of the Revelation started with the Originator which is God. He then passed the message to Jesus Christ who in turn sent it to his Angel and then to John. So perhaps it is possible that the angel in Revelation is the same angel mentioned in Acts:7:30-39.

But the Angel of YHWH or Angel of the LORD is described as one like the son of gods.

Daniel 3:24-25
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astounded and stood up in haste; he said to his high officials, “Was it not three men we cast bound into the midst of the fire?” They replied to the king, “Certainly, O king.” He said, “Look! I see four men loosed and walking about in the midst of the fire without harm, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods!”

The idea that a preincarnate Jesus was this Angel of the LORD is a popular one. We know that this Angel of the LORD is never mentioned while Jesus is walking the earth which supports this idea. But it could also be a coincidence. One connection that can be made with Jesus being this messenger is found in Judges 13:18.

Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “What is your name, so that when your words come to pass, we may honor you?” But the angel of the LORD said to him, “Why do you ask my name, seeing it is wonderful?”

Now read what Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 9:6 .

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Clearly, Isaiah was speaking of Jesus Christ and note that he was called Wonderful Counselor. Is there a connection here? Perhaps. What we do know is the word ‘angel’ is the same word messenger in the Old Testament, and while it is held that Jesus is not an angel in kind, we know he certainly was a messenger of YHWH and would be fair to say even ‘The Messenger of YHWH’.

So the idea that he may be this angel is not that far fetched. Some vehemently oppose this idea, but they are not aware that both Jesus and John are called angels in the messenger sense.

More to come here……

More proof that Jesus pre-existed

Rev 3:14
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

Moving on we read the following in Philippians 2:5-11
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Surely the above verses assumes preexistence.  Look at verse 7: ‘but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness’. This verse points out that Jesus humbled himself to become a (or like a) human and also a servant. So this suggests to us that he preexisted in a higher state because to humble oneself is to become lower. If he started life in this humbled state, then it would be incorrect to say that he humbled himself. Further, he “found himself in appearance as a man” is a weird statement to make if he first existed as a human baby.

This verse is often used in support of the trinity doctrine because of the word ‘equal’. But if you are equal to something it means that you are not that thing, rather you are like that thing. This scripture is also very clear about the following: The Father is God and Jesus is Lord and that God exalted Jesus to the highest place.

A closer look at verse 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Now I am not sure if Jesus was exalted higher than he was before he came to this world or whether he was exalted to the exact position that he had before. But if we look at John 17:5 again we can see that Jesus asked to return to his former glory.

John 17:5
And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

The above verse is clear about Christ’s pre-existence in glory before the world began. Just to prove this is not an isolated scripture here is a similar verse:

John 16:28
I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”

The next verse also confirms that Jesus pre-existed in Heaven.

John 3:12-15
12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven, the Son of Man.
14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

Ezekiel 8:1-3
1 In the sixth year, in the sixth month on the fifth day, while I was sitting in my house and the elders of Judah were sitting before me, the hand of the Sovereign LORD came upon me there.
2 I looked, and I saw a figure like that of a man. From what appeared to be his waist down he was like fire, and from there up his appearance was as bright as glowing metal.
3 He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and in visions of God he took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance to the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood.

This verse is interesting in the sense that the description is very similar to the description of Jesus Christ in Revelation 1:12-18,

12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 and among the lampstands was someone “like a son of man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest.
14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.
15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.
16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.
18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Have a look at the next verse. 1 Corinthians 11:3 (English-NIV)
Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Now the word head in the Greek is ‘kephale’ which can mean head, source or master. Now if we notice the order in a time sense, we have to admit that God is the first as he is the only one who has existed for all eternity with no beginning. We also know from scripture that the man came first and the woman came from the man. So that part is correct if we use a timeline. That just leaves Christ. Did he come between God and Man. I think so, as I believe that all things came from him and this opinion does fit perfectly into this model in a time sense at least. Anyway the word Christ here is ‘Christos’ which means “anointed”. So the anointed is the head of Man.
God > Christ > Man > Woman

If God created all things for his Son and his Son was the channel for that creation to come into being, then we can only assume that Christ existed at this point. As Genesis says: Let us make Man in our image. God was talking to Christ at this point and we know that Christ is the image of God and we are the image of Christ. Therefore the image of the image of God (man) is still the image of God. But Christ is the original and first image and we can only assume again that that image existed before the image of the image. A bit like a mirror that reflects a mirror, the original mirror has to exist in order to reflect the second mirror.

So we know that Christ preexisted before creation and now we will look at some more scriptures that show that he was born before creation itself?

Colossians 1:15-16
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

The above verse is quite clear that ALL things were created by or through Jesus.

John 1:3
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

So again, there is nothing that was made that didn’t involve Jesus/The Word being there. Only the Father and Son were not made. God has always existed and the Son was born from God before the creation of the universe, before anything was made. The next verse describes clearly who/what was the first of God’s works.

Proverbs 8:22-30
22 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, {[22] Or ; or } {[22] Or ; or } before his deeds of old;
23 I was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began.
24 When there were no oceans, I was given birth, when there were no springs abounding with water;
25 before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth,
26 before he made the earth or its fields or any of the dust of the world.
27 I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
28 when he established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
29 when he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.
30 Then I was the craftsman at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence,

This verse is talking about Wisdom, whom many believe is Christ. This scriptures compliments other scriptures that that teach that Jesus was given birth by God and then created all THINGS though him.

So from this verse we can see the following points.

Wisdom was brought forth as the first of Gods works.
Wisdom was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began.
Wisdom was given birth before creation.
Wisdom was the craftsman at his side and rejoiced in his presence before creation.
Some say that Wisdom isn’t Christ, rather this is just wisdom in a conceptual sense and it is true that wisdom is being spoken of in that way. But from verse 22 onward it changes tempo. With terms like I was given birth, I was the craftsman at his side and I was filled with delight, we have to admit that it seems to be talking about a person. Now have a look at the following verses:

1 Corinthians 1:24 (English-NIV)
but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1:30 (English-NIV)
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Let’s look at some other concepts that Jesus personifies:

Jesus is the Truth. Yet truth is also a concept.
Jesus is the Way. Yet the way is also a concept.
Jesus is the Life. Yet life can also be a concept.
Now look at the following mystery:

1 Corinthians 2:6-9
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7 No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 However, as it is written:
“No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him”

Ephesians 3:8-10
8 Although I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

Perhaps another scripture alluding to Jesus being the Wisdom of God.

Finally I leave you with the following OT scripture that suggests that God had a Son before the birth Of Jesus Christ on earth.

Proverbs 30:4
Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know!

    Hi Anthony,

CHRIST the anointed MAN is the wisdom of YHWH because YHWH gave him His Spirit of wisdom!

Christ is the SEED of Abraham whom the LORD anointed with His Spirit/Seed.

    Isaiah said “2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Luke 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

Jesus became famous when he returned from the wilderness just after he had been given YHWH’s Spirit, because of what he accomplished through the gifts of the Spirit . This Jesus was GLORIFIED of all, because of the anointing he received and what he was accomplishing through it. He was not being glorified because he pre-existed, or because he was born on earth as some god child. He was glorified because he was doing this as a MAN, those who try to say otherwise are speaking against the anointed one, they are changing the image of the anointed one into a FALSE IMAGE, which is what you seem to be doing Anthony. You are denying THE CHRIST.  The anointed one is the Son of MAN who was born of God to be the perfect image of YHWH, bearing all the fruits of YHWH’s Spirit, from His character to His powers.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

John 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

Anthony John is baring RECORD of Jesus being the Son of God because of his anointing of YHWH’s Spirit, and that His Spirit would remain on him.

John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! 37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

John is identifying Jesus as the man who would remain without sin, whose blood would take away our sins.

John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him,Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. 51 And he saith unto him,Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

2 Samuel 7:12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Acts 13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. 35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. 38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Anthony,  Nathanael called Jesus the Son of God because he recognized him as the promised seed of David, the King of Israel. He recognized him as the SON of MAN.

Psalms 8:1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

YHWH visited the Son of MAN making him a Son of God as God called him to righteousness to keep him from sin so that he could pay the penalty for our sins with his sinless flesh. God crowned this Son of Man of the seed of David and Abraham, who overcame the will of man and followed the will of God to perfection, with glory and honor. He made this Son of Man to have dominion over all His works, for he as the firstborn of the dead over all of creation appointed to rule over all of creation. This Son of Man is a Son of God because he is righteous, God’s Spirit visited him in full measure and it remains in him forever more.

God did not crown a pre-existing only begotten son with glory and honor. God did not give a pre-existing only begotten son rulership over all of creation. God gave glory and honor to a Son of MAN, because this Son of Man was perfected through God’s Spirit. God gave His creation to be ruled by a perfected Son of Man. The Son of Man was the “only begotten Son” but now he is the “firstborn of the dead.”

I pray that you all come to this truth,

The “only begotten Son” applies to the MORTAL MAN Jesus of the seed of Abraham and David, the only mortal man born of the Spirit to remain without sin. The only born Son applies only to mortal humans and mortal humans alone.

Jesus is NOW the “firstborn of the dead”. Jesus is the firstborn human having eternal life. He was raised from the dead being born of the power of the Holy Spirit. This Jesus as he is NOW is NOT an ONLY begotten Son, he is NOW the FIRSTBORN SON of what will be many BORN Sons of God as it relates to human beings. Jesus is NOW a Son of God like the angels are Sons of God, for any creature that YHWH has made that is free from sin dwelling in righteousness following God’s will is a Son of God.

    Hi Jodi,

I by my own freewill am choosing to type this message to you. The doctrine you speak of is fallacious predestination. If we are all predestined, and God is a dictator controlling us robots, then there is no need to believe His Word, we’re just puppets on a string. There’s no need to renew our minds, it would be futile. What would be the point of reading and studying the Bible if we had no control over our own will? Why would we need to confess Jesus as Lord with our mouth’s and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead in order to be saved? If it’s already predetermined then there’s no point in any of this. There are plenty of records in the Bible where God told people to do something, then they decided to do it their own way. Sometimes it worked out, sometimes it didn’t, sometimes it took them longer to reach the promises, because the by their own freewill tried to do it their way. Abraham, Moses, Israel, David, Jonah, just to name of few. God is most merciful, gracious, and most of all fair, because we all have the right to choose to believe. This is the every day struggle we all must deal with as humans, the struggle Adam and Eve had; Will we believe God’s Word or someone else’s word?

    Anthony,

Psalms 8 is the figure of speech called personification. You could say Jesus Christ is God’s Word personified. Similar to the Rock, the Bread, the Door, the Way, the Light, he’s not literally these things. He’s literally a human being born of a woman. Again, the Bible is book of literature that expresses the Mind of God; he uses natural terms that we’d understand to express spiritual truth’s. Symbols, parallels, type’s, analogies, colloquialisms, allegories, anthropaptheia, anti-personifications, irony, idioms, so on and so forth.

    We too are God’s Word.

2Co 3:2  Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
2Co 3:3  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Jesus read the OT scriptures pertaining to him, and said, “hey God’s talking about me”. When we read the Word, we should say “hey, God’s talking about me, I am a child of God too!” It is Written! We tell satan to go to hell, he has no power and authority over us anymore because of the accomplished work of Christ, Christ is lord! He paid the price, we’ve been redeemed!

    Hi the Word’s Watchman,

You said, “If we are all predestined, and God is a dictator controlling us robots, then there is no need to believe His Word, we’re just puppets on a string”

I never said that God is a dictator! How do you go from me saying that the influence of YHWH is more powerful than any other influence, to you interpreting that as I think we are puppets? Puppets are controlled not influenced. Robots are programmed not influenced. God is not a dictator He is merciful in influencing us by using His Spirit.

God gave man the law as a tutor to bring us to Christ. The law proved that we of our own selves cannot be righteous, we are incapable on our own of CHOOSING good over evil. Jesus said that only God is good. You seem to think that man is good from within himself and he can simply choose to be good. Knowing and believing in Christ is to in part recognize that you must be BORN of God’s Spirit to be good. God must use His Spirit to influence our spirit, that is how we are good able to make good choices. What you are preaching equates to self righteousness.

Yes God tells us to do things and we do it our own way, this is precisely why He gave us the law, so that we could learn that we are incapable of following God’s way on our own. He did it to cause us to have FAITH in CHRIST, faith in an anointing of man’s spirit with that of God’s.

You are neglecting the fact that choice is made from influences. As a man we have our ignorance and our own imagination that influences us, we have our surrounding environment and other people that are influencing us. We also have YHWH that can influence us. Like I said you seem to think that God is calling all men now, and what we see is many men rejecting God. What a pitiful and unsuccessful god you have that you believe in. You want us to believe that this world is what it looks like when God is longsuffering towards us not willing that any should perish but all come to the knowledge of the truth? NO! This world is where God is allowing men to follow their own will and He is calling an elect group of people who will spend 1,000 years preparing for the second resurrection.

What you seem to have us believe is that man is more powerful at being influential than that of God, you have essentially made man into a god then, giving man a higher power over that of God.  This is not so and I gave you Romans 9 that teaches you, but you did not respond to Romans 9. Please explain it.

    To All,

One good deed does not make you perfect or righteous, but that one good deed DOES COME through YHWH and His influence, it occurs and people don’t even know it is Him. People on this forum do not accept the words of Jesus,

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him,Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

This world is in a bad sinful state, but it would be even more exceedingly worse if God did not have His mercy spread throughout. God keeps people from evil, and at times He leaves man alone, allowing his sinful nature to be unleashed. He allows people to act like brute beasts.  The purpose of the good deed is what counts, if a person does a good deed to another but it is for selfish gain instead of for selfless reasons, the act is not from the influence of God, but the fact that they know what a good deed even is, exists because God established what a good deed is. A person who does a good deed for good reason is the work of God’s Spirit influencing man’s spirit.

God had said in order to make His power known to Israel he hardened Pharaohs heart. Pharaoh had to have some amount of God’s Spirit in him prior, making him somewhat of a descant guy. When the time came to set the Israelites free God removed whatever amount of Spirit he had given to him, which resulted in Pharaohs heart being hardened. The Pharaoh of course was oblivious to this all, just like many on this earth are oblivious to God’s mercy and what He does to establish His will and plan.

    Jodi,

We are not innately good, thus needing a savior. No one is righteous in themselves. My righteousness is of Christ, it’s fruit I produce via the holyspirit, because of God and His spirit, and not my behavior/works.

Jos 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Deu 30:19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

    We choose.

    God’s foreknowledge

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow (prosginosko), he also did predestinate (proorizō ) to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Foreknow = prosginosko = pros and ginosko

Predestinate = proorizō = pro and orizo

Pros is before or towards. Like in John 1:1. The Word was with (pros) God, already predetermined.

1Pe 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20  Who verily was foreordained (proginosko) before (pro) the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

This is part of the trap that trinitarians fall in to is the pre-existance of Christ. Sure, we all pre-existed, in the mind of the eternal God where time has no end or beginning. He has foreknowledge. Ephesians says we’re presently seated in the heavenlies, but we’re not there yet.

Mat_25:34  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

    The Clay

Rom 9:3  For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
    Rom 9:4  Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

Rom 9:23  And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared (proetoimazō) unto glory,
Rom 9:24  Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

    proetoimazō = prepared beforehand

The context of this section in Romans is that God Chose Israel (the clay) to bring about his promise of the messiah and inclusive benefits. He had/has foreknowledge on the out come, just a the potter chooses to mold the clay, God chose Israel to bring salvation to the gentiles to provoke the jews back to him.

    Grace

Rom 9:15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Rom 9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

God chose to have mercy on the Jews and the gentiles, it was his choice. But our chose to receive it.

Rom 9:21  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Rom 9:24  Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Rom 9:30  What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
Rom 9:31  But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
    Rom 9:32  Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
Rom 9:33  As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Rom 10:1  Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
Rom 10:2  For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Rom 10:3  For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

    Rom 10:8  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Rom 10:16  But they (Israel) have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Rom 11:1  I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Rom 11:2  God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

Rom 11:11  I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Rom 11:25  For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27  For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Rom 11:29  For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Rom 11:30  For as ye in times past [Gentiles] have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Rom 11:31  Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
Rom 11:32  For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
Rom 11:33  O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

God foreknew what would happen in Isreal, that’s why he had a plan since before the foundation of the earth, he planned to bring about the promise of the messiah through the people of Israel because he knew the results already. He knew about the gentiles as well so that it could be made available to all who call upon his name and believe.

Eph_1:4  According as he hath chosen us in him before (pro) the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Eph_1:5  Having predestinated [proorizō] us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Eph 1:9  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Eph 1:10  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

1Pe 1:2  Elect according to the foreknowledge (proginosis) of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

The law was a school master to bring us in to Christ. It shows us just how incapable we are, before it came in enslaved us proved how insufficient we are, thus needing a savior. We have to by our own freewill choose to believe and do the works of the law, or believe and have the faith of Christ being freed from the lay. As for me and my House, I choose to believe in the Grace made available through Christ.

Gal 3:23  But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Gal 3:24  Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

    Good Morning The Word’s Watchmen,

Thank you for your clear scriptures I am able to see where you are coming from.

I do think that you are missing something though.

You said, “We are not innately good, thus needing a savior. No one is righteous in themselves.”

I completely agree with what you said. This applies to Jesus as well, as he was a human able to be tempted just like us. Jesus said, “why do you call me good, there is but one alone who is good that is God.” Jesus was saved from his weak mortal flesh by YHWH, through YHWH calling him to righteousness. Jesus was able to bear our sins and be a lamb without blemish because God had kept him from sin and brought him into perfection. The Christ learned obedience by what he suffered, he overcame the will of man because the will of YHWH and the power of His Spirit is more influential. Jesus had been given God’s Spirit without measure. By God with His Spirit He saved one man keeping him from sin, and though he was mortal able to die, God could not hold him to the penalty of sin. Jesus is our savior through YHWH, because YHWH saved the one man Jesus from sin through an anointing. We call Jesus Christ because he is the anointed one.

The reason why Jesus is able to pay the penalty for all our sins, is because what God can do for one man He can do to all. Jesus represents all men. Believing in Christ means believing in an anointing of God, that it takes God and His Spirit to be righteous. The law showed man that we of our own selves cannot be righteous, man needs God, Jesus the Son of Man needed God.

Remember we are told that by one man sin and death came and so God’s plan was that through one man righteousness and eternal life would come.

Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

We are not free our wills are not free, our wills are in bondage to the fear of death, through that fear we look to survival to serve our flesh to keep our life. This is a slanderer, for it is God that brings us life, we do not keep our life through serving our flesh, though our imaginations and our ignorance fueled by our weak flesh tells us we do. This is the carnal mind that is at enmity with God, this is the adversary, the slander, saw-tawn, diabolos, that has existed in all men from Cain, to the Roman Emperor during the time of Paul, to the kings that make up the dragon.

Paul speaks that he is not free.

Romans 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?

Paul said that which he wills to do he cannot, he believes in Christ, but he still has a body that tempts him and he longs to be clothed with a body full of God’s Spirit that will remove temptation, and will keep him from sin. His faith relies on his belief in what God did for Christ, and he lives with hope that he too will be anointed with God’s Spirit and live without sin. He knows that he is able to reach this because Jesus paid the penalty for his sins, and so he is not held to the punishment of his sins, he knows he will be raised from the dead.

You said, “We have to by our own freewill choose to believe and do the works of the law, or believe and have the faith of Christ being freed from the lay. As for me and my House, I choose to believe in the Grace made available through Christ.”

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

The Father drew in Paul calling him to righteousness through bringing him to faith in the Christ. Paul knew that Jesus was able to pay for our sins because he had been perfected through God’s Spirit, and that likewise God would perfect him, one day making him free from sin.

Believing in Christ as your savior, is not just believing that one mortal man remained without sin and paid for our sins. Believing in Christ was to bring us to faith in God, to desire His Spirit, and an anointing like Jesus received. But in order to believe in an anointing God must CALL you, He must influence you. We CHOOSE God not by free will, we CHOOSE God because God works faith in us through influencing us with His Spirit.

I have heard other people on this forum say that God did His work in Jesus, and it is up to us to believe in Jesus or not, this is how God has chosen to save us.

This is a clear denial of John 6:44. This is a clear denial of having faith in Christ and what that truly means. Having faith in Christ means that you believe in the ANOINTING of mankind, a calling of YHWH, not a calling of one man, but a calling of saints too, those elected for the first resurrection.

God has chosen to save us through anointing us with faith to believe that the Son of Man was anointed without measure with the Spirit and it worked in him for perfection. We cannot follow God’s laws and be perfect through our own selves, neither can we believe in Christ through our own selves, it takes YHWH’s Spirit influencing us to have faith and hope that we too will be anointed to be made into the image of YHWH like Jesus is.

God foreordained men before He created the world, He foreordained Jesus and the saints to be the firstfruits of His Spirit. This does not mean that we are puppets or robots, it means that God can plan, He can influence man, He can lead us to a path where His will can be fulfilled.

TWW….YOU DID NOT SAY THAT OUT OF A “FREEWILL”, YOU RESPONDED THAT WAY BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT WAS INFLUENCING YOU THE MOST. “FREEWILL” IS AN OXYMORON. NO SUCH THEN EXISTS, OR IT SIMPLY WOULD NOT BE A WILL, NOW WOULD IT? We are not robots, but we certanily speak and act by forces driving within us, forces that have captivate our minds, some of which we need to be set free of. Remember what it says, “for it is God that works in us BOTH TO “WILL”, and DO, of (HIS) good pleasure”.

Peace and love to you and yours. …..gene

    Jodi, Gene,

Have you ever heard of the idiom of permission? Below is an article and short teaching on it. I’m not a Hebrew scholar or from the middle East, so maybe someone on here can tell me if it’s valid, why or why not. When I consider the Word as a whole, I believe it has validity and answers a lot of questions.

    https://www.revisedenglishversion.com/Romans/9/18

    http://eternallyblessed.org/archive/idiom-of-permission-2139

    1Ti 2:3  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Ti 2:4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
    1Ti 2:5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1Co_1:24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1Co_7:15  But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

Being called is an invitation. All are called/invited, both Jews and non Jews. Who will answer? If God wants all men to be saved, then why does he destroy them, harden their hearts, just to destroy them? Why does the God of the OT seem angry and vengeful and wipes people out, but in the NT they speak of Him as Love and Light? Has God changed? I don’t believe that he has. It could that be there is a devil who comes to kill, steal, and destroy, John 10:10, and that God permits him to.

One of my favorite movie quotes.

There wouldn’t be salvation for anyone. If Jesus Christ  had anything from them, He would have Sin, just like us, He wouldn’t be able to take away our sin. The gospel message would be meanless.  Jodi I don’t believe one thing about your message, what so ever, I will tell you it’s false 100% ,Hersey. Anthony,

    This is what I believe,

The Son of God is a PERFECT MAN

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

    I have that KNOWLEDGE!

Anthony…..Your belief of Jesus not being an anoited human being,  a flesh man is exactly what tbe apostle JOHN WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN HE COINED THE PHRASE  “Antichrist” or anti-anointed human being. Who was the flesh and blood man Jesus. You have fallen for the big lie about him.

REMEMBER Jesus said,”many” will come in my name saying I am,  and “Decieve many”. That is the christanity of this world, which have turned Jesus, a “MAN”, into a false “image” of him presenting him as a prexisting God. Removing Jesus away from his human roots and turning him into some other then a man is exactly what Satan wants, it is  both a lie and a sin. You have not only bought into their LIES, BUT YOU PREACH THEM ALSO. Bad form Anthony.

What Jodi and I have told you, and shown you, through many scriptures  is the truth, its up to you to except it or not.

TWW….You have descredit scripture by changing their meanings to something else,  calling straight forward scriptures   edioms, to force the text to fit your  own understandings of them as many do.  You deny that GOD IS THE POTTER AND WE THE CLAY,  You preach “freewill” a salvation of “self works” which are not scriptural at all.  Again like others forceing  the text to meet your  own comperhinsions.

    Hi Tww.   You said

If God and Jesus were God, then God would be beside himself. Trying to incorporate the trinity is like reasoning with schizophrenia. Keep the simplicity that is in Christ.Jesus has the same nature. You took on your Father’s your Human.   Well for one thing they are two sepa lookrate being. Jesus Christ is God because His Father’s a God. For another He was birth by His Father and He has nothing biological from Joseph and Mary or David or Adam.

He Jesus had to be Adopted by Joseph as we are adopted by God . You know legal matter. The Father is eternal  the Son had a beginning when He was birth by God His Father before the foundation of anything what so ever.

    Hi Tww

And The Father is greater then the Son. He will turn the kingdom over to His Father, when death is no more, Jesus Christ comes under subjection meaning the Father is greater. The Spirit isn’t a God that’s their personal Spirit, of the Father and Son.  I’m not a Trinity believer, I’m a bible beliver. You said ” seen” can mean mind Also. in what cases do yo think seen means eyes?  I think you know that ????  Later

    Anthony,

Jesus was born of a woman born under the law. As already proven, the purpose of the virgin birth told to us by Isaiah, had nothing to do with God begetting a god son. The purpose was God declaring that His promise that of the seed of David there would be an eternal king, still stands. The Holy Spirit did not place a previous begotten god into the womb of Mary. God place a fertilized egg with a human sperm, that was of the DNA of Solomon, of David, and of Abraham. Jesus is called the SON of MAN for a REASON, because he was of the flesh of a HUMAN BEING.

Abraham’s seed would be the Christ.

David’s seed would be the Christ.

    Christ means anointed.

Anointed represents anointed with God’s Spirit.

Being anointed with God’s Spirit we are also told means to be BORN of God.

Abraham’s seed would be BORN of God.

David’s seed would be BORN of God.

You first must have the descendant of David and Abraham and then you have it become BORN of God.

There was ONE Son of Man who was BORN of God being given and led by God’s Spirit without measure. The ONLY MAN BORN/BEGOTTEN by God without measure was Jesus.

1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

Jesus remained without sin, this is because he was born of God, as the only mortal human to remain without sin that makes him the only begotten Son.

Romans 1:3 regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, 4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

If you cannot admit that this passage says that Jesus was a descendant of David, and was a Son of God through the Spirit of God. There is no point in carrying on.

You say I speak heresy, this is an odd saying because I believe exactly what Romans 1 and Ephesians 4 and Acts 2 and Acts 13 says, and so many other passages. I believe that my lord who is returning to earth is in fact the Son of Man who is a Son of God because he was born of God’s Spirit. I believe YHWH’s promise, that the seed of David would sit eternally on David’s throne. I believe that he is the first of many human Sons who will have eternal life. I DO NOT DENY the firstborn of the dead and who he is, the Son of Man who has been appointed ruler over all creation. All creation comes after him, because in him all things are fulfilled, because in him all things consist, he is the end that had been established before the world began. That end is a new beginning of which he in this new beginning is firstborn overall of creation. Everything was created through and for the man that had been perfected. All things exist through the man that shed his blood according to the plan of YHWH,  nothing would have been made if it were not for the man that through God brought eternal life.

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Who sits at the right hand of God? The Son of Man does! Who is the radiance of God’s glory? The Son of Man that had been perfected through being BORN of God’s Spirit is! There is NOTHING about God’s glory existing because of a begotten god, we give God glory, because He perfected a man, because He gave this man over to death because God loves His creation of man. YHWH’s purpose of creating man was to make man in His own image, giving mankind the gifts of His Spirit. Jesus was not the image of God fully until he was perfected and raised from the dead being given eternal life. The fullness of man in God’s image is completed through having eternal life.

How could Jesus have been a god before the earth was made, when he was perfected upon his death?

    Hi Jodi

I can’t agree to that . If The Son had anything what so ever from any human He would have Sin and He doesn’t. His Father prepared His body of flesh and placed it in Mary. With out her seed. If He did have any dna from any human being, He  wouldn’t be Sinless which He is. I assume He was Adopted by Joseph according to Jewish law. Scriptures doesn’t say one way or the other but legally He  fulfilled the genealogy. He was the Messiah from the old testament .

Anthony….If you can’t see what we are saying, you simply are not yet born of the spirit of truth, and have fallen for the lies of fallen Christanity. Those born of the spirit know the sound of the truth, by the  spirit of God that abides “in” them.  Those of the spirit of truth, take comfort by the truth that is “in” thme , the very same spirit that was “in” Jesus the anointed man of God. Our bodies as Jesus’ “are” the temples of the living God.

    We believe this,

1 Timothy 2:5…..For there is one God and one mediator between GOD and men,  the “MAN”  Christ Jesus; verse 6…  who gave himself a ransom for “all” , to be testified in due time.

The Jesus you preaching is not the Jesus of scripture Anthony.

Peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene

Anyone who believes that Jesus was not born of Mary as a human being is speaking antichrist.

Man- Anthropos       a human being, whether male or female

How MANY  times is Jesus called a human being?

Matthew 9:6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.”

Matthew 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him,The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Matthew 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

    Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying,Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?..16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him,Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

The Son of a human being is ALSO the CHRIST the anointed which makes him identified as the Son of the living God.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

The Son of a HUMAN BEING is coming in the glory of his Father, a human being has the glory and honor of YHWH.

Matthew 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying,Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

Matthew 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

Matthew 17:22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them,The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them,Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The Son of a HUMAN BEING IN HEAVEN. The Son of a HUMAN BEING coming in the clouds.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh

Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Matthew 26:2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Matthew 26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Matthew 26:64 Jesus saith unto him,Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

The Son of a HUMAN BEING sits at the right hand of power.

27 TIMES in Matthew alone we are given that Jesus is the Son of a HUMAN BEING, but Anthony wants to say that he was not a human being. We are told that this Son of a Human being has glory, this human being sits at the right hand of God, but Anthony is teaching us that the word of God is a lie.

Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

I Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

Our master who is in heaven is a HUMAN BEING.

    1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Jesus the Christ is a HUMAN BEING. Our mediator to God is a human being.

Luke 18:31 Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.

The prophets received the wisdom of revelation giving the future from YHWH and they spoke in regards to a coming Son of a HUMAN BEING. Jesus was this Son of a human being fulfilling the word of YHWH, as YHWH WORD  indeed became truth living in the FLESH of a HUMAN BEING.

John 5:27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.

Jesus has authority over all BECAUSE he is the Son of a HUMAN being.

John 6:27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”

For on the Son of a HUMAN being God the Father has placed his seal of approval.

John 9:35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

John 12:23 Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

John 13:31 When he was gone, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified and God is glorified in him.

The Son of a HUMAN BEING is glorified and God is glorified in the Son of a HUMAN BEING.

Acts 7:56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

Revelation 14:14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.

Jesus is called the Son of a human being in the NT 85 times, and a man many other times, but Anthony wants us to believe that he was not a human being. He preaches the epitome of antichrist doctrine.

    Anthony,

I hope you will read through the scriptures above, maybe it will sink in that scripture does in fact say undoubtedly that Jesus was and is still a human being.
