Jerusalem, a very heavy stone

Jerusalem a Heavy Stone

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
Zechariah 12:3

“It’s easily the most contentious piece of real estate in the world, and there’s no hope — none — of ever talking about it without pissing somebody, if not everybody, off.”
Anthony Bourdain (CNN) on Jerusalem

Who can deny that Jerusalem today is the most contentious piece of real estate on the planet? Even this cooking maestro says so.

“It is time to officially recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel”

    Zechariah 12:3
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

    Hi.

    1. According to the bible, Jerusalem is now Heavenly.
    2. Trump has recently threatened to cut off financial aid to any country that does not side with his ambition  (hmm.. sounds familiar).

Jacinta Arden (NZ’s Prime Minister), is against Trump’s idea and favors a two state solution. How does that make you feel?

Jesus is coming to Jerusalem again and the scriptures that say so are not talking about Heavenly Jerusalem. Of course Heavenly Jerusalem the city of God is real, but that doesn’t negate Jerusalem Israel on planet Earth.

I copied the following from elsewhere. It pretty much conveys what I would have posted.

Jesus is coming to Jerusalem again

Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives, on the east side of Jerusalem, and Jesus is coming again to the same place. [Acts 1:9-12 and Zechariah 14:4-5]

Jesus is not coming to London, New York or Rome. Jesus will return to Jerusalem in glory.

His coming, this time, will not be difficult to discern. It will be sudden and, for many, unexpected. [Matthew 24:44; Mark 13:36]

Jesus’ return will not be in secret. [1 Thessalonians 4:16-17]

It is a good reason to keep an eye on events in Jerusalem. Jesus said: Watch! [Matthew 24:42].

The final battle will centre around Jerusalem

I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped.
Half of the city will go into exile but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.

Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.

On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

You will flee by My mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with Him. [Zechariah 14:2-5]

I have no feelings about that. Some are for God some are against. Some are for God’s people, some against. Some are for Israel, some against. It has always been that way. So I have never thought about Jacinta Arden and Israel at the same time before this topic was started, that I can remember at least.

As for the two state solution, it has been tried at least two times. Israel was the one that accepted it. It was the Palestinians who rejected it. Know your history.

Well I won’t defend my position again or I’ll get repetitive here which is pointless. But the Antichrist will most likely be the one on the Mount of Olives. ‘God’s people’ are the true Christians throughout the world, and they will know the Antichrist, because they follow their heart not mind (as an old saint said). Jesus has already come and stood on the Mount of Olives. When he returns, it will be the end of everything. But no doubt something HUGE will happen around Israel before the end.

I just found it interesting how Trump tried to blackmail other countries by saying he would make a note of which ones don’t comply with his desire and withhold financial aid to them. And good Jacinta wouldn’t be bullied by him!

It is inevitable that the world will turn away from God and his people, and also Israel.

Also, I don’t ever remember Jacinda being a person of faith. So her stance means nothing to me, honestly nothing. She comes across to me as one who has strong ideals and beliefs, but little experience and little to no wisdom too.

God is the God of Israel. God is the God of all who have faith. God has a tree by which he plants souls and some of the branches are natural and others are grafted in.

God hasn’t given up on Israel or Jerusalem. You can see that from prophecy.

Do you honestly think Trump believed he could sway everyone to his way of thinking. Let’s be real here. He surely knew that he would be alone in this, apart from a few. But he took note as any sane person would. Why? Because the US gives money to many countries and is the biggest funder of the USN. If these countries expect to oppose the US and also get their money, then they are dreaming right?

Why would you fund those who are against you? You wouldn’t do it if you were thinking straight. Sure he took note. His prerogative. He is no idiot. You would do the same I think.

    @mia

Are you not the person who mocked the idea of Trump becoming the president before the election?

If so, then obviously you were wrong and you might need to revaluate things a bit.

If not, then ignore this post.

    Hi t8,

God has used a donkey as a servant to fulfil His will before today.

    Hi,

Jacinda Arden was raised as a Mormon but she has walked away from that.

God also used and spoke through Israel. And while the world is gathered against her, against all the odds, Israel is still here.

Didn’t know she was brought up a Mormon. I wonder if she is an Atheist?

t8, of course God hasn’t given up on Israel… nor NZ nor Jamaica nor anywhere, because everywhere in the world are his people… that is whoever follows Jesus Christ. “He came to his own and his own did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, children born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born of God.”

Donald Trump… what denomination of Christianity is he? What are his eschatological views?

    Hi Miia,

Does it matter which version of false religion he follows?

Hi Nick, I think it does matter because whatever he believes he could push to happen
