While driving home I believe the Holy Spirit gave me a scripture to share. I know we all have read it before and many will say that it does not apply or I'm “adding to scripture”, but I believe it is the principle behind the example given in this scripture.Romans 14:1Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters.…[Read more]

CB,I want to thank you for responding politely with scripture. I would like to dig deeper into the scripture you opened with, to me it was your strongest case. Below I have responded to the scriptures you posted with how I see them supporting my position. Obviously we both interpret them differently otherwise we would be in agreement. Feel free to…[Read more]

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image,Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 16:7 But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. (would the Son be giving direction to the Spirit if it was the Fathers active will?) 8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and…[Read more]

Personally I will cut and paste whenever possible, but we should give credit where credit is due.

o·pin·ion 1 A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof: 2 A judgment based on special knowledge and given by an expert: a medical opinion.Unless it is an observable fact, opinions are all we have. One last thing I would like to respond to is blasphemy, the impious and reproachful speech injurious to divine majesty. If Jesus and the Holy Spirit are representing the Father then to speak against either is blasphemy but since scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit seals us onto salvation: 1 Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand,…[Read more]

WorshippingJesus,Is your spirit a separate being? I believe it is to an extent, but in ways we do not understand. Why does not scripture give us a name for the Holy Spirit, we have a name for the Father and for the Son. The Holy Spirit is never seen, except as a manifestation, a dove, a mighty wind, etc.. If the Godhead (which I do believe in,…[Read more]

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 27 2006,13:26)Hi ST, You quote with an addition”6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God (the Holy Ghost) in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (you state that God in 6:20 is the Holy Spirit but it reads better as the Father)We do not worship the Spirit of God in our templeRom 8″ 2…[Read more]

CB,You said “What you presented is inference perhaps because of your unitarian bias.” partially true, what I wrote was based on my bias, but I am not an unitarian. (If you haven't read it already I posted what I believe in the thread “trinity” on page 480. However that is not important to what I'm trying to accomplish here.) I was responding to…[Read more]

If we're looking at trinity we need to look at the Holy Spirit. Acts 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine…[Read more]

Good verse on JesusJohn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (seems fairly clear that Jesus although separate was God) 2 He was with God in the beginning. (beginning of what, not God, he had no beginning, it seems to be saying the beginning of creation) 3 Through him all things were made; without…[Read more]

Who could better tell us about the Father/Son then JesusJohn 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. 18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. (the Jews position was that by saying He was the Son…[Read more]

I Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh (Jesus was God), justified in the Spirit (the Holy Spirit), seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Another good verse:Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him (Jesus is worthy of worship); but some doubted. (doubted what?) 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (highest position) 19…[Read more]

This also seemed to be good verse.Philippians 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus 6 Who being in very nature God (Jesus was the nature of God) did not consider equality with God something to be grasped (even though he had God's nature He still did not think equality was something available for Him) 7 but made himself…[Read more]

Thanks CB this seemed a very good verse (chapter) to start with. I've added notes for the items I thought significant (as they relate to trinity), what have I missed and do others have comments we should consider?Hebrews 1In the past God (has to be the Father) spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in…[Read more]

Actually I'm going through the other trinity threads and as I find a scripture I post it and add my comments/interpretation. I hope to sort them out later and classify them into seperate lists of scriptures; those that seem to support trinity, another list that seem to disprove it, and ones that can go either way.Wm
