I believe all men are foreordained to the adoption of sons in that Christ died for all men. I believe that when Paul was writing Ephesians he was speaking in general terms and by His grace salvation is open to all and it is God's perfect plan, but it takes faith to obtain what has already been done for us.My opinion – Wm

Tim2Quote Would you agree that harlotry consists of worshipping gods besides YHWH?I would, but unfortunately many make of “God” what they want “Him” to be, or have been told this is “Him” without checking it out, then they paste “YHWH” on this “idol” and have a form of Godliness but denying the power there of. And as with what Paul said about his…[Read more]

Hi Tim 2,Here is another thread on the Trinity which sounds like what your looking for. Below is my opinion on how our view of the Trinity should effect our relations. I personally believe the grouping of manuscripts used in scriptures to be for the most part true, However the translations I feel less certain of although, once again for the most part, I believe they are accurate. My position is that the whole of scripture is our safeguard. But scripture is only our starting point, as it is the Holy Spirit that…[Read more]

PhoenixBased on my understanding and with factoring in my memory I hesitate to even respond, but from what I've read the book of Enoch was in use during the time of Jesus whether it was the same as the one we have today I don't know. When it came time to compile the scriptures there was something that the “power that be” did not like about it so…[Read more]

Ken, Where we differ is I see the Ten Commandments as conditions of the covenant with the Israelites. Exodus 34:28 “And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.” and you see them as presented to mankind in general. Ken,I read in one of your posts something like “what harm does it do if I follow the Sabbath” (or something like that) and I would say none if done to honor God. I'm not afraid of any legitimate evidence it will always end up supporting truth (even if it conflicts with my current belief). My concern is the twisting of partial truths for the sake of sensationalism and the promotion of a lie which destroys the faith of the immature.
