David,I haven't been keeping up with this topic so actually I think we need to define Kingdom of Heaven first.I believe it is a body of people submitted to God's will, starting even while in the flesh the Kingdom is being built right in the midst of satan's domain. It is the beginning of Christ's ultimate Kingdom to be established during His 1,000…[Read more]

It's God's method for establishing truth:Matthew 18:16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’John 8:16 But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. 17 In your own Law it is written tha…[Read more]

Pierre,How many have gone astray feeling they were following the “Holy Spirit”? Without the scriptures to guide you, you are “feeling” out your own religion. God always provides at least two witnesses in this case one is the Holy Spirit, the other is the written word. The best example I have is the teaching of eternal punishment. For over 20 years…[Read more]

Mike/Nike, I believe your both right, we use the study of the word to learn each and every scripture, then our God-given human wisdom and logic to understand that despite scriptures being given that were accurate and reliable, after 2000 year misunderstandings from culture, idioms, and/or preconceived concepts/traditions has produced errors. Sorry scripture only: Proverbs 18:17 The first person to speak always seems right until someone comes and asks the right questions.
seekingtruth replied to the topic One liners in the forum Group Discussions 12 years, 9 months ago
There are times it totally covers it to respond simply with a verse from scripture, but even then it is hard to get the point across without some explanation.

Mike,Still changing scriptures to support your beliefs? You quote the scripture as “the last MAN became a SPIRT”. 1 Corinthians 15:45 So also it is written, “The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. That makes for a big change to the meaning of the statement.Wm
