Stu, your are living in a dream world if you think what you are saying is sensical. You demonstrate blindness aptly as you are unable to see the gaping holes in your belief system.

Quote (mikeboll64 @ Nov. 26 2011,04:14)Yes Pierre,This is also what the Biblical scholar Barnes believes. He believes the man of lawlessness is the Roman Catholic Church, and that the force that was keeping him in check was the Roman Empire. Once it fell, the leaders of the church were free to set their bishops and such up as Gods themselves.I d…[Read more]

I don't encourage anyone to stay or go.It is up to them if they stay.So long as they don't break the rules. It would be nice if we had people here that were more about learning truth, than defending their own egos though. But I can't force that to happen.

Even that faith in his own intellect leads him to the most foolish of conclusions, that nothing caused everything. There was a Big Bang and the universe unraveled.0 became 1 then 2 and so on.Magic.Show me the math Stu.I just want to see a demonstration on how zero can become another number without using another number.Or even an explanation on how…[Read more]

Oh nice one Stu.No time before the Big Bang, so nothing preceded it or caused it.No possibility of a higher realm being the containment, and no creator to cause it.Let's see. We have 0 and then 1 happened and then 1 doubled and became 2,4, and so on.Right, but the hard part is that not even infinity existed before that. But if you accept infinity…[Read more]

Quote (princess @ Nov. 25 2011,08:34)Quote Truth is not a personal opinion. It exists even if we do not believe it.If you deny the existence of the Moon, then it doesn't go away.If we think something is true and it is not, then it is not true. Simple as that.Using a simple visual as the moon, one could see a face on the moon, the other cannot, to…[Read more]

Also taken from Wikipedia. In biblical terminology, a Statute (Hebrew chok) refers to a law given without a reason. The classic example is the Statute regarding the Red Heifer. The opposite of a chok is a mishpat, a law given for a specified reason, e.g. the Sabbath laws, which were given because “God created the world in six days, but on the…[Read more]

I don't know. My comment was made under the condition that “statutes in the old testament are secondary laws that go further and expand upon the commandments” .This may or may not be the case. If it was, then I assume that breaking a further definition of a law could be the same as breaking the law itself. It might depend on how central the statute…[Read more]

Quote (TimothyVI @ Nov. 23 2011,22:02)All statutes are law. The statutes in the old testament are secondary laws that go further and expand upon the commandments. Not taking sides here, but if all statutes are essentially further explanations to laws, then they wouldn't be laws in their own right, but would certainly be part of law as a whole.
