Quote (Lightenup @ Nov. 12 2012,10:29)Could the workers of lawlessness be those who did not love their neighbor as themselves? Wouldn't that be lawlessness if that is the summation of the whole law?Good point. It would certainly be a factor at minimum. Also not loving God, which of course would equate to not knowing God and the one he sent.

It is true that there could be another 10000 years for all we know. But Jesus is coming for us in the next 50 years or so.Why can I say that, because we will likely be dead by then and to be apart from the body is to be present with the Lord. The dead will precede the living at his return, so we should live as if he was coming back in our lifetimes…[Read more]

Thanks for posting that Edj. I thought it was pretty good and some good research went into that guys message. It didn't however change my opinion about superstitious English numbering systems. But I do agree (and previously agreed) that there are significant biblical patterns regarding what numbers mean and because the Hebrew and Greek have their…[Read more]

Quote (mikeboll64 @ Nov. 11 2012,16:25)Ed, these prophesies are thousands of years old. The U.S.A. has been around for a couple of hundred. One thing we know for sure is that people in every generation try to point to things in their society and timeline that match up with Biblical prophecy. To me it's like numerology, or like reading a h…[Read more]

Quote (Is 1:18 @ Nov. 11 2012,15:10)You won't need to study biblical eschatology very much to discover America is notably absent from the list of key nations (Israel, Iraq, China, Russia) that have a part to play in the end times. My view is that the 'super-power' status they currently hold is temporary.Wow, I actually agreed with something you…[Read more]

God must exist because if he didn't, you wouldn't exist.

The word known would be to know him as opposed to just knowing about him. I haven't got to check the Greek and Hebrew, but when Adam knew his wife, that was very different to knowing he had a wife. I think the word “know” in that sense is also how it is used with regards to knowing God.i.e., A deep intimate relationship.

Quote (Lightenup @ Nov. 11 2012,01:39)Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”So what does this prove? That there is one who is God and another who is the…[Read more]

Adam became a living soul when God breathed into the nostrils of man. This is an impartation of the spirit and it gives life to the soul. Also the spirit and the soul is likened to the bone and the marrow.I guess bones are dead without marrow.

Quote (Richtuner @ Nov. 11 2012,12:55)How does the statement “I know God, therefore I am saved” be true by itself?RT, I agree. But it is an essential truth that many attack. Let's recap the truth so far.Eternal life is to believe that the only true God sent Jesus. And the Father is the God of Jesus and our God.Jesus is the son of this God. God made him the messiah and Lord. And Jesus built his Church on this truth. No wonder Satan attacks that truth.Every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the…[Read more]
