Yeah, even though I speak English, I am from New Zealand, so our English is different. All our vowels seem to have moved along one space. Fish becomes FushSex becomes SixAdvantage becomes AdvuntageTrue story, but then we are on the edge of the world. Maybe even not of this Earth.

Quote (Lightenup @ Feb. 12 2013,18:46)1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him (the Father) who is true; and we are in Him (the Father) who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.Okay. I thought I agreed, but I think you are actually merging the…[Read more]

Quote (Lightenup @ Feb. 12 2013,17:16)Can you say this t8:Jesus is our God with God and they are one??I can't say the same for judges, angels, satan and earthquakes because I don't believe any of them are MY God.But they all have theos and/or elohim applied to them in a legitimate way. So you lack a complete understanding of these words. This is…[Read more]

Yes I can say it. But it likely would not mean what you want it to mean.So yes I can say it. If I was with like minded people I could. But in your company and Trinitarians, they would get the wrong end of the stick.

Quote (Lightenup @ Feb. 12 2013,17:45)No traps here, t8. You don't need a lawyer…good grief.Wrong LU. The fact that you cannot even acknowledge the use of theos and elohim even as any Concordance will tell you, leads me to believe you have a different view of theos as a word. Thus, I cannot trust your question because your view of theos is not…[Read more]

2besee, it is the same in English to a degree. If I say to you, THE man, then I am talking about a specific man.If I say, 'man', then I am talking of mankind, thus I am talking about a nature.e.g., The man used tools to carve the rock.versesMan used tools to carve the rock. That is why Adam is the first man.Adam means man and THE ADAM is a…[Read more]

Yes Origen was a brilliant scholar and he had a good grasp of the Greek tongue. He is probably guilty of letting his imagination run wild, however, most of his ideas outside the Bible cannot be proven to be true or false IMO.

2besee, it is our lack of Greek that makes us think these guys were double minded. But most seem to know the difference between identity and nature, while we seem to lack that understanding.
Proclaimer replied to the topic Philo of Alexander and the Logos in the forum Truth or Tradition 13 years, 7 months ago
I don't find them confusing if you understand that theos can be applied to God and to his nature. Many of these guys understood Greek while we do not. So they knew the rule that theos can apply to nature while THE Theos is identifying a particular being. Thus The God is usually the Father and theos/elohim can be rightly applied to Jesus, man,…[Read more]

Yes that is right. I am not willing to concur with your meaning. That is why you knew I couldn't do it because I have yet to concur with your understanding of theos. So why would I agree with you now.Not hard to understand why is it. Just being wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. We need to tread carefully among those who place thorns on the…

I advised you in another topic that if Jesus concurs with this:Ye are gods, you are all sons of the Most High God, then of course Jesus being the son of God would certainly not only be applicible, but he would certainly be greater being the prototype son of God.Thus depending on your motive, I might have to answer differently. And the simple fact…[Read more]

Well there is your bias right there.Worship God all you gods.Ye are gods, you are all SONS of the Most High.So yes, if sons of God can be theos, then how much more is Jesus theos. So long as you have the correct meaning, then I can say it.However, my guess is that you have a different meaning and thus I have to disagree with your meaning as it is…[Read more]

It is after all good to be clear about things, honest about things, and to explain things in simple terms. We shouldn't need to employ lawyers to protect ourselves from others who call themselves Believers. So ask the question again with all intent visible, so I can give an honest answer to the question.
Proclaimer replied to the topic Proclaimer vs Lightenup in the forum Debates 13 years, 7 months ago
Explain the question because as it is, I can say yes because it means a being of divine nature from the original Divine himself, while you might mean an eternal God that always existed with another eternal God subtance being. So in order to not fall into a trap, I need clarification. You see theos can mean the Father who is the original and Most…[Read more]

If you want to grow some balls, then be brave and call angels and judges gods too. Don't cherry pick things to suit your doctrines. Just be honest up front and say truth no matter what. That is how you transform yourself. But when we are self-absorbed we are not free like a child to speak the truth, but are careful about keeping our credibility…[Read more]

So what you are saying is that everything was corrupt at that time and shouldn't quote anyone from 3rd-century period. But if you read what he says, he completely contradicts the Trinity Doctrine.
