Quote (mikeboll64 @ April 11 2013,13:54)Kathi recently pointed out the obvious fact that anyone who is called “THE god” in any context, must, by necessity be “A god”. If you are not “A god” in the first place, you will never be called “THE god” of anything. For example, Jehovah is THE God of Israel. Well, He can't be that UNLESS He is A god in t…[Read more]

Colter, let's imagine for a minute that the UB had special revelation that science was catching up on. I doubt this to be the case, but let's assume it contains special revelation as opposed to taking things already known. It would still fit the description that many would depart the truth in the last days for doctrine of demons.I mean you even…[Read more]

Yes many Trinitarians hold that view and it is wrong as you know. But I have met Trinitarians that do not hold that view because they can see nothing in scripture that says this. And you ask 'what is the truth'.The truth is the testimony of the son. God sent his son into the world to save the world.Reject the son means rejecting God.Accepting the…[Read more]

Q: If the Trinity Doctrine is a false doctrine, then does that mean that most teachers today are false teachers?
A: Jesus is the son of God and the messiah. God sent him into the world and even though the world was made through him, it did not recognise him. But to those who do, and those who receive him, and those that obey his teachings, such…[Read more]

Quote (david @ April 10 2013,19:26)Hi kerwin. I'm really only interested in the true teachers you spoke of:”The good teachers teach the same truth…”I wonder what truth they teach. Do they teach the same truth? I mean, if there is truth, and if people all over the world, that know this truth and teach it, then, who are they?Jesus is the son o…[Read more]

In English we often use 'a' to single out something. But this can also be done with 'the'. So perhaps why Greek doesn't need 'a'.E.g., t8 is a person. Mike is a person.t8 is the person. Mike is the person.t8 and mike are persons/people. See that. I didn't need the indefinite article because I did not single anyone out.So is John 1:1c to be read as…[Read more]

Quote (mikeboll64 @ April 10 2013,13:47)Much like the definite article used in John 1:18? Or the definite article in John 20:28, where Thomas calls Jesus “the lord of me and the god of me”?Yes the definite article again. John 20:28 is interesting because there is a double definite article which could well mean that Thomas was speaking to 2…[Read more]

Quote (mikeboll64 @ April 10 2013,13:47)John 1:18 NWT18 No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom with the Father is the one that has explained him.In the above verse, is Jesus being called “a god”? Or is he being called “God-like”?In English we may understand that he is being called 'a god', but technically…[Read more]

Thanks Mike. I feel like we will cover much more ground and learn stuff compared to debating those who just regurgitate the same stuff. This is kinda what I prefer. PS, I am taking for granted at this stage that you believe that no one will be punished or destroyed by everlasting death. If not, then let me know what it is you exactly believe. Will all be saved? Or some be saved? Or we are already saved? Or what?

Quote (Colter @ April 10 2013,06:59)Wakup,God has no wrath, that’s a human way of thinking. But some people need to be frightened of God’s wrath because they don’t realize his love. Wakeup, even if what you say is true in concept, the date part has got to be wrong. Do not all date setters say what you say. That this time it is true? And with all the date setting going on in the world and in history, I am guessing that nearly every date is owned by someone. And thus someone will win that lottery by pure luck.

Further, it is really about what John 1:1c is trying to convey to the reader. Is it identifying another god who is next to the original God.Is it identifying the Word as being of God, God-kind, like God, part of the counsel of God which doesn't of course negate that he is with God because we are already told that.If it was the first one, then it is…[Read more]

What I mean Charles is that there needs to be a creator. Minimum intervention could be that the creator creates a race or species that pro-creates. He only needs to get the ball rolling so to speak.Of course that doesn't negate the idea that the creator intervenes when necessary or even all the time.
