Hi there,
Can anyone help me find where the church shares the same glory, the same honor, the same dominion for ever and ever as that which the Father and Son do? If so, we can show how the Father, the Lamb and the church all share in these things because it couldn’t be just the Father and Son share this or it would look like they a…Proclaimer replied to the topic Similarities with God Jesus & Us in the forum Truth or Tradition 12 years, 1 month ago
The Father is called theos
Jesus is arguably called theos.
Satan is called theos.
Some men are called theos.Theos is the word that is translated God in the New Testament.

The difference is this. Your mother begat you, but did not create you.
God created you, but did not begat you.
However, we are offered the new birth from above. This is what it is to be born again.
While all humans are created, not all humans accept the new birth which is to be begotten of God.Jesus is the only begotten of the Father and then…[Read more]

Agreed. There existed one sentient being, and then God caused there to be a second sentient being. Whether you prefer the word “begot” or “created”, the meaning is the same. Anytime a new sentient person comes into being, a “creation” has occurred. For example, when I “begot” my son, a new CREATION came into existence.

As for the point people like to make about God not “diminishing” when He created His firstborn, I’ve always wondered why that point would even need to be stated.
I guess people could say that if the word was in God and then was begotten, then God divided himself up and this could open the door to many weird doctrines. It is impor…[Read more]

Men depart the truth for myths because they like the myth better. It is cooler in their view.
Nearly every person I have met that follows after myths have a problem with God.

The problem is it is not in any ancient manuscript. It was added into the Textus Receptus from a footnote to part of the text itself.

I am becoming even more confused. In my understanding, there was ONLY God in the beginning. There existed NO OTHER living, sentient entity except for God Himself. Then came the day that God created “Wisdom/The Word/Jesus” as the first of His creative works. So we went from one living, sentient entity to TWO living, sentient ent…

Can you explain to me in your view how Jesus was rich and became poor?
2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. Can you explain how he existed in the form of God, but emptied himself, taking the form…[Read more]

Please explain. Does this mean “The Word” has existed FOR ETERNITY “in God”, and is in fact a “part of God”? Because these are the things Wakeup claims.
I am not sure what Wakeup subscribes to here exactly, but the word is an attribute of God, just as wisdom is, and as light is. They are still attributes and always will be. They we…[Read more]

I am afraid you have been deceived regarding this. This verse is only found in the KJV and is about the closest verse in the Bible that hints at a Trinity, yet this verse is not actually scripture, rather a footnote that was inserted into some texts fraudulently.

Most arguments made in order to support the Trinity Doctrine involve a play on words. A recent example that came to light is Isaiah 8:12-15 and 1 Peter 2 where YHWH says he is a stone of stumbling and in Peter we see this stone of stumbling as Jesus Christ. Another would be where it says that God is light and later Jesus proclaims that he is the…[Read more]

The first obvious thing to point out is that when God decides to become something such as a rock of offense, he personally doesn’t turn up as that rock, but sends his messenger. We see in other scriptures that God is light. But he sends Jesus into the world and Jesus proclaims that “he is the light of the world”. When he is about to leave, he…[Read more]
