Granting the Son to give eternal life to others does not mean that the Son didn’t always exist. It just means that He got His authority to give eternal life to others from His Father.

God changes not LU. You now paint this picture that Jesus is God and yet changes lots. He was granted this and that. Before that he didn’t have this or that. He w…[Read more]

I was not making an argument that He was not a literal firstborn. My question which you did not seem to understand was to see if you realize that the term ‘firstborn’ does not tell you how long one existed before being born but just tells you that one was the first to be born who already existed alive for a period of time. You seem to use it as…

Btw, as a side note, being an eternal Father implies that you have an eternal offspring.

Ahem. God became a Father when he begat a son. Before he begat a son, was he a Father?

Did God declare that he was a Father before he begat and created anything? And if so, then to whom did he declare this?

Rather, he is a Father and he is eternal. That…[Read more]

I never taught ‘eternally proceeding’ either. I teach that He always has been the eternal offspring part of God and has been begotten (brought forth) from God, NOT continually being begotten from God.

Ahem. If he has always been brought forth for eternaity, then it is ‘eternally proceeding’. The eternal offspring of God you are trying to convinc…[Read more]

LU, do you have any photos or other evidence since there is no scriptural support for your view?

I agree that the logos was part of God, but the logos that was with God did not lessen the logos in God.

Your view suggests that the logos in God is Jesus as an embryo, but wisdom was also an attribute of God that he begat before all. So was Jesus…[Read more]

She is one of them, not us by our brother Paul’s definition.

Agreed. What is way more important is believing who Jesus is, i.e., the messiah, lord, and son of God. Technicalities regarding his origin are of less importance. But even the lesser truths are important to discuss because each truth adds to our full understanding of God and his Christ.

    @Carmel

    The Trinity is Babylon/Confusion.

Jesus said: “eternal life is this, that they may know the ONLY true God AND Jesus whom HE has sent.

Jesus did not say: “eternal life is this, to know the only true God, the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

The first is the words of eternal life. The latter is not, yet many are drunk on those words.

In another thread you made a statement that could only mean that there were two eternal Gods. Was this statement incorrect, or is this what you believe now.

Both Father and Son are eternal beings and both have the name Jehovah which appropriately demonstrates the eternalness of existence.

The context is about granting the Son of Man to have the authority to judge and give eternal life to His followers.

Granted being the keyword in your statement.

God also made him Lord and messiah.

There is one God and there is one who God made both Lord and Christ. God granted him to have this life and the privileged positions that he holds. In…[Read more]

    Must answer question:
Do you understand that the term ‘firstborn’ does not speak in and of itself as to how long something existed before being born and thus cannot use the fact that the Only Begotten is called ‘firstborn’ as a proof that He didn’t exist at one point but implies that the ‘firstborn’ actually did have a living existence bef…

Yet you are trying to tell us that the Only Begotten did not exist before He became a firstborn.

Jesus was the first to be with God. He was with God before the cosmos came into being. He became a man later on and is not the first adam, rather the last adam. The Word that came from God who is Jesus did not spend 9 months inside God as a d…[Read more]

Being born means you have a Father/Mother/Parent(s). If Jesus has always eternally proceeded from God, then he is not born, but is a part of God. Such a notion is not taught in scripture. Rather we see time and time again that he came from God, that he is the firstborn, that he was the first to be with God. I prefer to stick to scripture rather…[Read more]

Visual relies on you using the toolbar. It is a WYSIWYG editor (What you see is what you get).

If you put code into the visual tab, then what you see is what you get, i.e., the code itself.

Think of Visual Mode as MS Word. If you put code into MS Word it shows the code.

Instead, when in visual mode, make sure the last icon in the top row or…[Read more]

Yes Nick, the Lord God of Israel has been called Jehovah of hosts. Both Father and Son are eternal beings and both have the name Jehovah which appropriately demonstrates the eternalness of existence.

When the son and God are merged into one being, it insults God and it denies the son his unique identity. It offends both.

The first commandment is broken and the foundation that Jesus built his Church on is also attacked.

Yes I have heard of Lord Rayel. Amazing that anyone would even pretend to be the messiah. What is the point of that. They will be judged for their deception. Not a good idea.
