Jonah 3:3
So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly (elohim) great city, a three days’ walk..

What about this verse then?

If we make 1 Samuel 14:15 mean that the trembling or quaking was from God rather than being a GREAT trembling, then to be fair you would have to say that in Jonah 3…[Read more]

We are trying to understand scripture. We are not agreeing like you that it is…[Read more]

Good one miia. You asked God and of course there are plenty of scriptures about the fate of the wicked. The word ‘wicked’ and ‘perish’, ‘death’, & ‘destruction’ go hand in hand.

But like the Pharisees of old who blocked the way for many by claiming to be the gatekeepers of truth, not only did they persecute the messiah, but their attempts at…[Read more]

I started reading this today and thought it was good. Can’t vouch for the whole article or the rest of the site.

Can’t remember how I stumbled across this page, but it is quite timely given the accusations that DavidL is levelling at some of the teachings here.

A Cult is Not Rejecting the Trinity or the Deity of Christ

DavidL, you could post 100 videos here, but scripture is the standard of truth regarding the doctrines that we should believe. Further, it is too easy to put your own spin on visions and experiences that we have. For example, I had a vision of Hell and was not told that it was eternal. However, I can see that if I had a predefined belief that it…[Read more]

It’s real simple LU. God has no beginning. If Jesus is called a beginning or described as the beginning, it makes him the first.

But isn’t God first? Eternal is not first it is all. Eternity encompasses the first, second, etc. Infinity is before ‘first’ and after it.

The Second century fathers often taught that the Logos that was with God was…[Read more]

kerwin, I suppose you realise that I was not saying or implying that the son of God in the genealogies was Jesus Christ.

@genebalthrop

T8……if you say it have other uses by applying the term GOD TO THOSE THINGS, as having other meanings then you are changing the words meaning. That is what IDOLATRY is all about, right making or changing the image ofthe “only” true God. Right?

Wrong. It is not me using the word to mean something else. Even one scripture proves your as…[Read more]
