Of course the verse you quote says CAN and not say He does.
Likewise it does not say instantly destroys.
It must be aligned with the other verses
My point stands then as I did not say that the verse said God will, but that he can.
Many other verses clearly teach it and like any truth is alluded to as well.

I have to agree with T.
Jesus dealt with sin once and for all. Not just each individual sin that was temporarily covered through the shedding of the blood of animals, but sin fullstop. There was no way under the law that all of mankind could be saved from the effects of Adam’s sin. I guess God foreknew his plan and worked with those under the L…[Read more]

Amen T.
The second death is the destruction of the soul.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
DavidL would likely argue that the soul cannot be destroyed. That is is eternal and thus millions perhaps billions of souls will be burned for all…[Read more]

Is the writer of Hebrews implying that being reminded of your sins year after year is a evil occurrence?
If not, then what do you believe he means?
Without thinking too heavily on this, the first thing that sprung to mind is this:
“WITHOUT THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD THERE IS NO REMISSION OF SINS!”
If it was a yearly ritual, then the reminder of sin…[Read more]

We all die Kerwin. The soul that sins will die. Do we start to die the moment we are born? If so, then the saying might be true. ‘We are born in sin’. If we were born without sin, then we would be like Jesus before his anointing (perhaps) or like Adam before he sinned.

You give me one scripture that uses the word eon and ignore all the others that use to mean age.
And I give you dozens of scriptures that talk about the destruction of the wicked and the old earth and heavens.

Yes the blood of bulls provided atonement until the greater sacrifice was made.
Hebrews 10:
3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year.
4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, “SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, BUT A BODY…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic Does the "Whole Earth" mean the "planet" in scripture? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 7 months ago
Not sure who wrote it to be honest. If it was a quiz I would say Moses. But it could have been written by Noah originally. The Book of Noah or fragments of Noah exists in the Book of Enoch today. The book of Enoch (like the Bible) is a compilation of books from different authors. The book is also ancient. Enoch was the…[Read more]

Okay, I too believe those 2 scriptures.
And how you can have antichrist before Christ if they are to come out of the followers of Christ ?
Antichrists could exist from any time after Christ. I agree too. Not sure what you are getting at though. But yes, I agree.

Hi Grasshopper. I thought I made a post regarding the Vatican too, but I mustn’t have submitted it and now it is gone. lol.
To me, the Vatican is more suited as a Babylon prospect than the Beast. I could be wrong, but the woman clothed in crimson and purple, and is rooted in the false religion of Babylon is a pretty good description of the…[Read more]

Now you have lost me. BTW, I was asking if that is what you believed, not telling you that is what you believe. Sometimes it is quicker to just ask.

I am not saying this is or isn’t the case, rather that we cannot deny or confirm any of these explanations using scripture alone. I think the story in Genesis is too vague to draw such exact conclusions.
Scripture doesn’t rule out necessarily that the area of the known world was flooded leaving eight souls in all, but that may not…[Read more]
