The only baptism literally mentioned in Acts 8 and 19 is baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and Peter asked who would deny water to those that were to baptized in the name of Christ.
First off it says repent. If you do not do that and you are baptized in water, then you cannot expect that water baptism to save you, can you?

Personally I wouldn’t say that Satan is behind his ministry. However, it is one thing to believe in the Trinity and quite another to preach it or make it part of the gospel. Comfort is a heretic as he teaches a doctrine that is false.
Do you mean the Trinity Doctrine?
If he teaches Jesus is God then he is teaching another Jesus than was taught by Paul or any other of the apostles.
