Gene, stop dodging Edj’s question
Where is your integrity?Proclaimer replied to the topic John 1:1 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 10 months ago
“the words I am telling yo u are “NOT” my words, but the words of him that sent me.
It’s not hard to understand. If I post a famous quote, bit is me doing this and me aligning with it. But rather than give the impression I originally wrote it, I quote a source.
Jesus said his source was the Father.
See, this has nothing to do with being an automaton.

Gene is dodging fair yes no questions by giving unfair examples of yes no questions to fool us into thinking yes no questions are wrong. Where is his integrity? This method of his is actually a form of bearing false witness.

Berean. ….listen to what Jesus said, not me ok, ….“the words I am telling you “Are” SPIRIT, AND “Are” life. And those words he was telling us, which “are” Spirit and “are” life , we’re not “his”words, just as he said, “the words I am telling yo u are “NOT” my words, but the words of him that sent me.
Gene, Jesus spoke words himself. But he cho…[Read more]

Gene doesn’t appear to have the courage yo be honest enough like a child to give clear answers. For him this is a game of poker where sleight of hand is implemented in order to gain advantage. He should be more respectful in the world of scripture and teaching. He should know that teaches are judged more harshly and he needs to become wise.

The Son is called Jesus so he is Jesus. If he is called the Word of God, then he would be the Word of God right?

If Jesus was the rider on the white horse, then he would be the Word of God?
Yes / No

Is his name Jesus?

Edj
Is his name The Word of God or not?
Proclaimer replied to the topic John 1:1 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 10 months ago
Hi T8, Good!
Do you therefore agree:
A. “The Word” of God is “The Bible” (the literal word of God)
and/or
B. “The Word” of God is “God’s spoken word” (message)Are both A and B correct?
“Yes” or “No”?
Ed J, I do not even know why you need to ask this. I have always believed and never taught otherwise that there is a literal word of God or me…[Read more]

Gene, how about an honest yes / no answer. Be brave and we will see where things land. It is how people learn. But if you cannot be honest, then you cannot learn and that is sad for you.

Do you affirm that 1 and 2 in verse Rev 20:4 are referring to different things?
“Yes” or “No” ?
Yes.
In this instance I think it is more likely that this is referring to the literal word of God or message.
Proclaimer replied to the topic John 1:1 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 10 months ago
What is incorrect though, is that you think #2 means “The Word” is Jesus; which of course is untrue.
So your actually still saying that he is indeed Jesus, but not the Word of God. This is a double standard. If he has both these names then why is he only one of them?
Proclaimer replied to the topic John 1:1 in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 10 months ago
How true is what you say Proclaim and I will add that God continues to do all things through Jesus in the Heavenly Sanctuary (as Advocate, Mediator and High Priest and finally Judge) until
his people be ready to welcome him at his coming in the clouds of heaven.Amen to that.

- His name is The Word of God. That means he is the Word of God.
Tell me Ed J, why is 1 correct and 2 wrong?

Just because truth is an attribute doesn’t mean that Jesus is not THE truth.
Just because life is given by God, doesn’t negate that Jesus Christ is the life.
Just because Eve is man (adam) doesn’t mean that the first man wasn’t Adam.
Just because the logos is an attribute if God doesn’t mean that Jesus Christ isn’t the Word of God.
All things…[Read more]

You still haven’t figured it out Jodi.
Believing that God made all things through the Son and that he is now with God in the glory he had before the cosmos, doesn’t negate that he came as a man and fulfilled prophecy.
This is all you have, and with your slight of hand you want to pit one set of scriptures against another.
We are onto to your…[Read more]
