Obviously he was the only one but because of him. we are now born from God ourselves and not by flesh and blood. He calls us brothers but he is and always will be the prototype son.
And yes, he will always be the only one to come directly from God. I think we both agree with that. Whereas we came from Adam, but have abandoned that lineage by…[Read more]

So true Ed J.
They put their trust in a man like Adam.
But we should put our trust in the son of the living God himself. The image of the invisible God and firstborn of all creation.

Well, Proclaimer, I gess that’s better the being called a worm, like Jacob was called, Or Belsabob and a devil, drunkard, gluttion , bastard, like Jesus was called.
Gene. A beast has a nature and it does what that nature wants. But God and those born of him are higher than a beast. We can choose and this is no more exemplified than God puttin…[Read more]

This answers your questions Danny. In short, Jesus is our brother and we will have a body like his. If we are not divine and do not possess divine nature but remain in the flesh, we will die. So let’s be clear. We will have a resurrection body. Currently yes, we have divine nature, except with our body as we are present in the flesh. We will be…[Read more]

Let’s be clear. Scripture explicitly states that Jesus is the son of God and we are sons of God. Jesus even calls us brothers because we are part of the same family as him. God never calls us brothers. To him we

2 Peter 1:4…The Geneva Study Bible commentary says:
“By the divine nature he means not the substance of the Godhead, but the partaking of those qualities, by which the image of God is restored in us.”Only Jesus shares the exact same nature as His Father. Because Jesus is the ONLY begotten of the Father. John 1:14
I am not so sure about that…[Read more]

But does this mean that the husband is a superior being to his wife?
The answer is obviously, “No.” The husband is greater than his wife by way of position but not by nature.
The same applies to the Father and the Son. The Father is greater by position, but not better by nature. This was precisely the point I was making. Identity vs nat…[Read more]

Did Jesus eat grapes. If it doesn’t mention it, that doesn’t mean he didn’t.

As you say, Jesus did eat fish, but meat (non fish), is only assumed because nobody can show me yet where it explicitly shows Jesus eating meat.
Is fish meat or veg? It’s meat. Just not a land based animal’s flesh. Rather a water based one as you point out.

Jesus was the passover lamb without blemish. He even told us to eat his flesh and drink his blood. While we are sure he wasn’t telling us to eat his dead body, this indirectly tells us about the passover in the context of this discussion.

Hi Procliamer,
FALSE! – it does not say unclean animals are clean to eat. It instead says:
what “you eat” will not defile you,Okay, you made the point for me then. Eating meat doesn’t defile a person.
One person can eat meat but a weaker brother or sister may not. Thus don’t eat meat in front of them. Do it when they are not there so they won’t…[Read more]

My view is this.
We all die. Humans, animals, plants.
We all become food.
Our bodies will be eaten by worms and provide nutrients for plants.
Knowing this, we should be kind while we are alive on this earth.
I think all living things deserve a good life.
But eventually, we will all become food one way or another.
It is how the earth…[Read more]

Luke 24:41-43
“Jesus said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they have him a piece of broiled fish…And he took it, and did eat before them”.In a vision to the apostle Peter, Jesus declared all foods to be clean, including animals (Acts 10:10-15). After the flood in Noah’s time, God gave humanity permission to eat meat (Genesis 9:2-3). God has…[Read more]

Not all flesh is the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another, and fish another. There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies.
All these have flesh. We know he ate fish which is flesh. Possibly lamb too.

Correct. I never mentioned that Gene.
Why did you say that?
