Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 22 2005,17:20)Hi , Rev 11.9″ And those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for 3 days and a half, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb”Why not just say ” all the nations”?Why are they not permitted by all these groups in agreement to be laid in a tomb?…[Read more]

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17, ESV)I would have thought that it was referring to God (Yahweh) in this case. We know that we can be forgiven for words against Christ, but blasphemy against the Spirit cannot. So is the Spirit greater than Christ? Well if the Spirit is God's…[Read more]

You could say that and people do, but that is incorrect English if you are referring to hearing something. If you see/hear something and in your mind or understand the picture then the word 'see' is appropriate (that is true). Similarly we can say I saw this or that in my dream last night. All sight is actually compiled in the brain. The eyes are…[Read more]

The term Lord is applicable to those who have authority. For there are many lords, but for us there is one Lord the Lord Jesus Christ. Likewise there are many gods, but for us there is one God the Father who is over all (even Christ). There are landlords (authority over the land you live on) warlords even in the royal family of England there are…[Read more]

Throwing stones was reference to destroying things in our own strength and passing judgement and retribution for ourselves. But there is a stone that was cut out withut human hands that strikes the statue and destroys it. The stone then filled the whole earth. We are also told to seek the Kingdom first.Jesus said to a crowd, “let him who is without…[Read more]

Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 21 2005,16:54)Hi Paul, Mothering is only necessary for created beings. The Son of God was begotten so he derived directly from the Father without any other influence. The rest is surely human conjecture? The head of the woman is the man, the head of the man is Christ and the head of Christ is God.So we are the bride of…[Read more]

Hi poisson_1,Quote (poisson_1 @ Mar. 25 2005,05:36)Thank you so much, Nick, all this advice is priceless. Maybe I just need to be patient now, then. Let him think about everything I've already pointed out to him while we're still on good terms. Let the seed grow and that.Cheers.That could be what God wants. If you have already planted good seeds,…[Read more]

To poisson_1,I read once (in a Catholic encyclopaedia I think), about the concern over the Reformation/Protestant Churches and rebellion against the Roman Church and her authority. But there was a comment that was made in a postive way (by them) and that was that at least they still baptized with our baptism. (Our = Catholic.) If history has been…[Read more]

Hi poisson_1, welcome.Maybe you could ask him to tell you what the foundation of Jesus church and our faith is. If he answers correctly, then ask him why nearly all denominations have a different foundation. From there you could show him scriptures where Paul warned the believers of a great falling away and deception after he died. Then ask him…[Read more]

I would have thought that all things that we do in obedience to God are works. Works are not bad, it's just that they are not the basis of our salvation. In fact we can have a lack of works and still be saved. Our works are tested on judgement day to see if they withstand the fire of judgement. If they burn down we can still be saved if we are on…[Read more]

This is todays scripture (on the homepage). Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17, ESV)The Word 'Lord used here is 'kurios'. It means:Supreme in authority, God, Lord, master. Are the following 2 answers correct? What is the Lord? He is the Spirit.Who is the Lord? He is the Father.

Having explored this area to a degree and read some of the posts here, I offer my opinion. The disciples baptized in water even after some received the Holy Spirit. This raises 2 points to me.That some had the Spirit (and surely salvation) without water baptism. But they were baptized afterward anyway.I think that anyone with the Spirit of God…[Read more]

Yes I would like to know about baptism as Cubes has said. What happens to those who were baptized in the Father, Son, Holy Spirit (not in the name of Jesus) . Do we need to be baptized or have we been already. Although I know that we can receive the Spirit even if we aren't baptized. Also if we are to be baptized in the name of Jesus, should it be…[Read more]

Hi Nick,9 For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10…11 But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.Notice that all can gaze upon their bodies, but not all saw…[Read more]
