Thanks for that seminarian, And if Abraham is our father in that we are his children, then Christ is our everlasting father. This of course is very different to our Heavenly Father.Christ is the image of God and because of that he will be like God. But some use this as proof that he is that God. But if their reasonings were correct then we could…[Read more]

Absolutely Nick.We should baptise all believers. That much is clear and is also aptly demonstrated in scripture.I personally think that this is enough for us to do the same.

Quote (Dunno @ July 06 2006,12:38)Hi! T8You are absolutely correct in saying, “The Father is Jesus's God and or God”.But, subsequent to that statement, your further comments are, (if you don't mind me saying so), rather bizarre. You stated, “He is a divine being”. This can only be true if you also declare that Jesus BECAME such as he was the First…[Read more]

Hi Nick. You ask ” Why would anyone deliberately refuse the simple offer from God?”. My answer to that is because they do not love God.You then predict that God would protect all who are going to be baptised before imminent death. Maybe he does? If so, then it would be safe to say that there was no one onroute to baptism in Hiroshima just before…[Read more]

True Woutlaw, Who are we to question God. But God gaves us scripture and he wants us to question and seek in order to learn. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see anyone here saying that we shouldn't be baptised. But I have also said myself that there is no scripture that says 'no baptism, no salvation'. Instead the closest I can see to 'no baptism,…[Read more]

1 John 5:2This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

She obviously reads “the Word was WITH God” as the “Word was IN God”, or the “Word was an attribute of God”.

Quote (heiscomingintheclouds @ July 05 2006,18:23)That is not what it says in Peter. I believe all should have it done. But to say one will lose his salvation if he does not recieve the water baptism is to add to the word of God.Rev. 22: 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto…[Read more]

True Woutlaw.I think that it is better to be a sinner than a sinner posing as a righteous person. How boring is it to pretend to be righteous? Might as well enjoy the friuts of sin even if they are for a season. Will not both types of sinners perish anyway?God prefers us to be hot or cold. That means he prefers 'cold' over 'luke warm'.

Amen Woutlaw. We must build on the true foundation, otherwise that which we build and call our own will eventually fall like all things in the world do. That foundation was laid by Christ, the Apostles, and the prophets. Upon this we should build. But even on the true foundation our works can still fail, but we will be saved because of that…[Read more]

John prepared the way for the messiah. His was a baptism of repentance. After this the people were to be baptised into Christ.Repentance came first. Without it, everything else is but a mere ritual.

The antichrist spirit not only denies that Christ came in the flesh, but also and obviously opposes Christ and his disciples. Those who have the antichrist spirit will try to wear you down and oppress you. Such action is spoken of the AntiChrist himself, an individual who personifies the antichrist spirit.Daniel 7:25And he shall speak great words…[Read more]
