Quote (Stu @ Mar. 12 2010,16:56)It is christians that profess to go on what is unseen. You can do that as long as you really are blind to reality as well.StuartYou can see the unseen. You can have insight, hindsight, and foresight. However, you seem to be arguing that your learning is based solely on visible sight. So invisible things don't…[Read more]

Quote (Stu @ Mar. 12 2010,16:53)It may be that for there to be an increase in numbers of atheists there would need to be an increase in the average IQ of the population. That might be a slow change.Yeah, an increase in the religion of, from nothing came everything.

Quote (Stu @ Mar. 12 2010,16:53)You can hardly say that your worldview is gaining massive numbers. For the first time since European colonisation New Zealand has less that 50% of its population professing to be christian.Just less than 50% is a huge number. That obviously represents the biggest group.Tip: If atheists have more kids, then you…[Read more]

Yes well there are many who claim to be Christ. But Jesus is the only messiah for mankind. Not Mohammed nor the Maitreya.

Yes when you do not have the light to see, you are left stumbling all over the place trying to imagine what the truth might look like.As it is written: “the blind leading the blind”. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

I should add this. That Christ being slain from the foundation of the world illustrates the possibility that the beneficial effects of that death, is the same as if that sacrifice had been made before the creation of the world. Thus, Old testament saints are washed clean in Christ's blood the same as we are today and for all aeons.

Quote (bodhitharta @ Mar. 11 2010,17:21)Notice the verse you gave says”you put up with it easily enough.” notice this verse was not in a future context but a past or even present context. That doesn't matter because the point I am making is that you or anyone can preach another Jesus. And lets face it, we already both know that this is possible…[Read more]

Actually this is going off track, but here is my cents worth.Good question. My guess is that sin won't be an option on the table. Why? Because we have already chosen to be righteous while we were here. So the choice is already made and then we will be in perfection. I think you will find that it will be impossible to sin in the new creation for…[Read more]

Quote (Stu @ Mar. 11 2010,21:35)But the sanitised black-and-white christian's world of good / evil, fool / wise man cannot allow consideration of the shades of grey that are there. What about the sanitised black and white world of atheism? No shade of anything but black (no color), no God and that is it.No open mind.

Oh another thing. If free will doesn't exist, then you can't blame me for what I am writing. You just need to accept it.

If you cannot see sense, then yes, nonsense is the result.

Well it is a matter of opinion what you call a man who rejects the giver of all life. I agree with scripture, but I suppose if you are the one who rejects the Living God, then you might also find it convenient to say that you are the wise one. It might make you feel better now, but after that is the judgement. You can't change that by trying to…[Read more]

Quote (Stu @ Mar. 11 2010,18:56)I cannot think of a single worthwhile “truth” in christianity. What does that say about your life? You spend all this time opposing something that is not worth while?Look at those 2 words. “Worth & While”. You are obviously dedicating your life for a very unworthy cause according to your own standard. Hmmm. You have…[Read more]

Sure I will be willing to debate that. Just don't expect quick replies. I might be quick, I might not, but I will debate. Go ahead and set it up and stipulate the rules that you want people (or just myself) to adhere to.

Or a truthful one.Sometimes the truth hurts, but hurting is good because it often stops us from doing things that lead to an early death or death of the soul.
