@EdJ Hi Ed,
Anyone in the kingdom can baptise.
Paul’s main mission was much more important and he was uniquely equipped to fulfil it.NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@EdJ Hi Ed,
Please be accurate and show respect to the Word of God.
Paul baptised as recorded in Acts and he said
1 Cor 1.14
I thank God that I baptised none of you except Crispus and Gaius, that no man should say you were baptised in my name.
NowI did baptise also the household of Stephanus ; beyond that I do not know if I baptised any other.…[Read more]NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago

@EdJ Hi Ed,
Acts 19.5
And when they heard this, they were baptised in the name of the lord Jesus.
And when Paul laid hands upon them they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.Yes they had been water baptised by John and by Paul and then God baptised them in the Spirit.
No confusion there is there?NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
@EdJ Hi Ed,
Yes the baptism of John (Acts 19) was of water and a requirement for the Jews as Lk 7.30 makes plain.
Neither were gentiles required to become Jews or to be circumcised as Baptism is the new circumcision.col2.11-12
Surely you do not confuse John’s baptism with those who came to Christ and were water baptised for the forgiveness of t…[Read more]NickHassan posted an update 5 years, 10 months ago
