Quote (Gene Balthrop @ Feb. 07 2013,22:39)Being a good Shepard has nothing to do with being a good person. Can't you at least understand that?So then your Lord Jesus Christ, to whom all knees will bow, is NOT a “good person” – according to you?

Quote (Wakeup @ Feb. 07 2013,18:56)What about Cain and his wife, and the others that cain was afraid of?Well, presumably, since Cain thought being banished to Nod was an unbearable punishment, it was not a good place to be. So my question is WHY there were “others” already in the land of Nod, that Cain had to be afraid of?What were these other…[Read more]

Actually Wakeup,The scripture explicitely says that AFTER Seth, they had other sons and daughters. For you and Pierre:Read Genesis 5 and tell me if you believe the child mentioned to each parent was their firstborn son. I do.(Btw, I believe David was the 8th son of Jesse, and we are told he was the youngest. We are also told about Eliab, the firstborn.)

To All,I started this thread because I had questions. I'm not making any particular claims, but pointing out things in scripture that don't seem to add up.For example, MOST people just assume that after Cain and Abel, Eve was popping out children like a rabbit, and that those children were doing the same. But we KNOW from scripture that Cain…[Read more]

Ed,The main question I think we'd all like answered is:What exactly makes you believe the AKJV is the only true translation of scripture?(You don't have to answer these others)Do you believe that people who existed BEFORE the AKJV did NOT have the “real truth” of God?Do you believe that people who speak languages other than English do not have the…[Read more]

I agree that the twelve stars are the patriarchs.  But doesn't that lend credence to the claim that the woman is the nation of Israel itself? After all, Jesus was born out of that nation, as a descendent of David.  (Deuteronomy 18:15,18; Micah 5:2)  And that nation was supposed to represent the goodness and righteousness of God from the time He pe…[Read more]

So far, we've learned that the following things cannot be scripturally refuted:1.  John 1:1c can be faithfully translated as “and the Word was a god”.  (Many expert Greek scholars)2.  Jesus is called a god in scripture.  (Is 9:6, Heb 1:8-9, etc.)3.  Jesus was with God before the world began.  (John 17:5)4.  All things were said to have been made t…[Read more]
