Quote (Lightenup @ April 14 2011,13:19)I do believe that the Son had the same power as the Father but He was under submission to the Father in order to use it.And here's a case of “not so good thoughts”.
Your own statement contradicts itself. If the Father had the POWER to tell Jesus when he could and couldn't use his power, then the Father…[Read more]mikeboll64 replied to the topic Firstborn of/over all creation in the forum Truth or Tradition 15 years, 7 months ago
Quote (Lightenup @ April 14 2011,14:10)I think the earth is less than 10,000 years old. Death came from the sin in the garden…fossils of animals can't come unless there is death, so I don't think the earth is so old. The wine that Jesus made appeared old also but He made it in the twinkling of an eye.Good thoughts, Kathi!

God was in unity with the Son and presented them as one to the Israelites. When God revealed the Son, He…[Read more]

Hi Gene,How about you go through my claims about your understanding of 1:14…………and tell me which claim is untrue.Let's start with the word “IN”. Do you need to add that word into 1:14 in order for your doctrine to work? I don't. See, there's the first difference between us. Now which one do you suppose is following the scriptures – the…[Read more]

Quote (kerwin @ April 14 2011,19:11)Mike,Your doctrine is that a Spirit being embodied itself in flesh. So either change your own doctrine or acknowledge that it can be the Spirit instead of a spirit being because that is the only difference between what you are stating and what I am at this point.Hi Kerwin,You are mistaken. I agree that Jesus was in the form of God, meaning that he was also a heavenly spirit being. Then he emptied himself of that form, and took on the form of a human being.mike

So now your theory is: Well, it doesn't say Jesus created in the scriptures, but the early church fathers say he did, so he did.
My question still stands as is.mikeboll64 replied to the topic Should members be tiled for avoidance? in the forum About Believers Place 15 years, 7 months ago

Kathi,Read the prayer in Acts 4:24-30. Tell me the ONE person they prayed TO, and the ONE person they prayed THROUGH.It was to the ONE they prayed TO that they gave the credit for creation. Nor has any scripture ever said Jesus created anything at all.So my question stands as before.
