The Father has granted His Son to have life in him.  Just as that same Father granted other prophets of old and disciples of Jesus to have life in them.The SOURCE is the Father, Kathi.  Verse 29 (edited from 27) of your passage makes this clear, along with the many other scriptures that teach us everything Jesus has was GIVEN to him by his own God.

They really ARE very clear scriptures, aren't they Irene?  It simply amazes me that someone's WISH for Jesus to have been “exactly like us” would lead them to ignore the very scriptures God preserved to teach us about these things.
