It simply means to be true to your word, and not to swear on anything, such as “I swear to God”, or “I swear on the Bible”, or even “I promise”. Jesus answered and spoke in parables /riddles. Which shows that Matthew 31 is referring to oaths as he plainly said.

Scripture declares only the eating of bread and wine at the last supper. Jesus was the lamb.
