Nick,
you said:
Mary is his mother as he was conceived of her just as any other man begins life by conception and none preexist.
Not quite correct, Nick. Mary is Jesus’s mother according to His flesh only because the Holy Spirit supernaturally BROUGHT HIM FORTH into her ovum. Mary did conceive, that is correct but not by the normal means at all.…[Read more]

Gene,
You certainly do not have the faith to believe in the true and only begotten Son of God and that is clear by nearly every post you make on this topic. Open your heart and ask God to show you.
Muslims understand what it means when they are told that Jesus is the Son of God. They think that is impossible. They also lack faith but you can bet…[Read more]

Mike,
you said in response to this diagram:

Don’t we have the same second ball dropping down (or from right to left if we imagine we are looking down from on top of the diagram like in mine)? Isn’t the concept identical to what I drew? For example, could the bright and dark parts on his #2 be reversed? Of course not. Could the bright…

Jodi,
You are precious, you spend so much time trying to help! Thank you. However, none of your arguments disprove that the Son was not always a part of the one true God, Jehovah, the part that is the offspring part, who willingly became flesh and dwelt among us and lived a sinless life and died a prophetic death to pay that which He did not owe…[Read more]

Mike,
If you are the X man in your diagram, then you are in Greenland or maybe Russia. Phoenix is more like at the 10:00 position (think clock), not 12:00 as you have it pictured. The moon is not above you, even if you were at 12:00. Your moon is also not in the correct position. It is on the other side of the earth than the sun. The only place…[Read more]

Ya’ll get that the geneology in Matthew is for a different person than the geneology of Luke, right? David had several sons. Solomon is in the Matthew geneology, Nathan is in the Luke geneology. The two geneologies are not for the same person.
Matt 1:6
Eli was the father of Mary and the father-in-law to Joseph. Both Mary and her husband Joseph…[Read more]

Mike,
I think this site will greatly help you understand why there are the three types of shadows, penumbra, umbra, and ante-umbra.

Remember back when we were talking about how it’s summer in the northern hemisphere when the earth is supposedly 3.2 million miles farther away from the sun?
I don’t remember the diagram but I have seen diagrams of the orbit around the sun that were drawn wrong. The last post has the distance between summer and winter appearing t…[Read more]

Mike,
you said:
Notice how the highest annual mean temperature is always parallel to the equator. But according to your image, that would be absurd, because of the earth’s alleged 23.4 degree tilt in relation to its orbit around the sun.
Look at this picture, it should help you see the mean temperature chart more clearly.

Mike,
That’s a lot of questions all at once. For now, I will address this video of the eclipse of yours.
you asked:
As you can see, the moon is above me. It is setting in the west. The sun is about to rise behind me in the east. I want to know what is lighting the bottom of the moon really bright, and what is causing the shadow on the top of…

Jodi, you are very good at defending that Jesus was a man according to the flesh…no one here disputes that. But He is also the Lord of lords of the OT who’s name is Jehovah along with His Father.
- In Zechariah 12 JEHOVAH is speaking (verses 1 and 4). In verse 10 Jehovah says, “They shall look upon ME whom they have pierced.” This can refer to…

Gene, I didn’t suggest you were arrogant, I proved it. I told you that it was NOT because you disagree with me but your last post proves that you didn’t comprehend that I said that. Then I explained why I discerned that you were. Go back and read it. That is a ministry of reproof, Gene, meant to strengthen you if you are wise. Let it strengthen…[Read more]

I asked you this, I didn’t answer it for you.
“After reading that, Nick, do you think that you are following Jesus?”
Why don’t you answer that for me?

Hi Nick,
Luke 14
26“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. 27“Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
After reading that, Nick, do you think that you are following Jesus?

Nick,
you asked:
So where does it say that Jesus desires our love?
I just gave you two verses that you can deduce that from.
John 14:21
“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
Matt 10:37
37“He who loves fa…

Nick,
Do you think that Jesus desires our love after reading these two verses? Do you think that Jesus is saying that you are to love him as much as you love your father and mother, sons and daughters or more than your father and mother, sons and daughters?
John 14:21
“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he…[Read more]

Are these two statements the same or very different:
Jesus needs our love.
Jesus desires our love.

Nick, I don’t think that I said that the Son of God needs our love. Can you show me where I said that Jesus “needs” our love?
Lightenup replied to the topic 2 Commandments, in Which Way do YOU Love Jesus in the forum Scriptural Teachings 7 years, 10 months ago
Hi Nick,
you asked:
When did our Master demand that we love him?
He doesn’t demand that we love him.
you said:
We serve a master who expects more commitment evidence than just professed love.
Do you think that I do not know that?
