Gene, you are not a son from God by reproductive process, you are from dirt, we all are. There is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. If you were a son like Jesus, he would not be an only begotten son.

Hi t8,
You asked who is the oldest, the father or the son or are they exactly the same age. I think this diagram will help:

Please describe the qualities of a firstborn lamb at passover.

Hi Jodi,
You said …the Son of God is still a human being, he is the root and offspring of David
As the root, he came before David as in the form of God, as the Son of God, who established the line of David.
As the offspring, he came after David as in the form of man as the Son of Man.
He was both, the Son of God AND the Son of Man. He wasn’t…[Read more]

t8,
Regarding this conversation:
LU: Jesus taught that he was the Son of God and also the giver of eternal life. That alone would be considered “making himself equal with God.”
Human reasoning right there. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.
t8: Note the word ‘granted’.
God is the bos…

Hi Jodi,
Jesus taught that he was the Son of God and also the giver of eternal life. That alone would be considered “making himself equal with God.”
Can you let yourself imagine what would an only biological (speaking in terms of deity biology) son be like? In other words, if God brought forth his very own son asexually, one that was of his own…[Read more]

Happy Resurrection Day everybody, enjoy this song, a favorite of mine, that I want to share with you all.
Revelation 5
11Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels and living creatures and elders encircling the throne, and their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands. 12In a loud voice…[Read more]

Ed,
You said: According to Hebrews 11:3 Jesus CANNOT be “The Word” – what say you?
According to Hebrews 11:3, Jesus being the logos of John 1:1 is not addressed one way or the other.
By faith we apprehend that the worlds were framed by word of God,
so that that which is seen should not take its origin from things which appear. When looki…[Read more]

Jodi,
The name of our one God is YHWH, YHWH is two persons as I understand it. One person sent the other person to become flesh and redeem mankind. In order to become flesh that second person had to empty himself of whatever necessary to become man. Once emptied and finished with his mission, he was given back what he emptied himself of.

t8 said: So two identical gods except one is the begetter so edges out the begotten. Otherwise 2 gods. Is that it?

T8 and Berean,
I do appreciate your thinking through this with me. It’s important.
The end result after asexual reproduction is two identical organisms with substance that is the same age in each. The difference, one beget the other which makes the begetter greater to the begotten. The one who beget is the Father, the one begotten is the son, t…[Read more]

Regarding this:
LU said: t8, if the original living eternal One beget a Son asexually, then that original One manifests Himself as two at the moment the reproductive process began, in a father and a son. Both equally having the eternal nature of the original One.

Gene, do you realize that it is the lens that you have in your glasses that chooses what “by” means. Just because you say the word “by” means such and such doesn’t automatically mean that the writer means the same thing as you say it does. Do you realize that everyone’s lenses are in differing degrees of cloudiness? Do you have an ounce of se…[Read more]

Hi Carmel,
Thanks for trying to be concise 🙂
Are you aware that the word translated as “angel” is also translated as “messenger?” It can refer to a human messenger as well as to heavenly messengers.
Blessings on this Good Friday,
LU

Hi Gene,
The God of gods sent the Lord of lords, his son, to be his prophet to men. The son did so perfectly. The Lord of lords has been speaking for the God of gods since man began…before the flesh and in the flesh.
