Jodi,
You said:
ME: I have given this to you a few times now,
And you have seen the original language more than once that has shown you that you are mistranslating. How many times would you like to see this, it’s easy to keep showing you but why do you require it?

Jodi said: One does not have truth when they fully IGNORE scripture and don’t apply context, as well as other passages, but instead just see things how they want to see, such is the blind leading the blind.

Mike,
You said: I’m still wanting to know about the prayer in Acts 4…
I answered that soon after you asked. Go look for it, I’ll wait.

Mike,
You asked: Wait a minute… are you saying that the cell splitting scenario you’re pushing doesn’t stand up to scrutiny?
No, I’m not saying that.

Mike,
You said: But now YOU are also claiming that the Most High God would have no power to do anything if not for His Son? Are you serious?
Nope, not what I said.

Gene,
You said this: Jesus quoted this, the LORD “OUR” GOD, is “ONE” LORD.
Where is this quote?

Pilgrim, great post! Interesting about the first words in Genesis.
Good to have you here.

Here is another passage always misused by Jodi:
isaiah 46
Verse 11
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.A bird — Cyrus, called a bird for his swiftness, and ravenous for his fierceness, and v…[Read more]

Hi Gene, many Christians all over the world see the Son who is the wisdom of God in that passage. You have to have a willing heart to have those “eyes.” I realize that you don’t. I’m sure it is partly due to the poor translation that you cling to as well as your denomination that you belong to.
Hopeful, LU

Btw, Boomerang, I perceive the Holy Spirit as the united “inner person of both the Father and the Son” that while being in them, can extend from them with omniscient potential.

Welcome Boomerang!
I can so relate to your quest. I started seriously seeking the relationship of the Father and Son and Spirit for 28+ years. I have been wrestling with it and I believe God has honored my persistence. I have a recent analogy, a picture of an actual design of asexual begetting in the simplest form. Keep in mind that it is analogy…[Read more]

Jodi,
Christians all over the world see this passage as referring to the Son being born/begotten/brought forth. This happened before creation.
Proverbs 8
22Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, Before his works of old.
23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earth was.

Jodi and Gene,
Do you think that Jesus walked in the Spirit or was he made to walk in the Spirit?
Lightenup replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 6 years ago
Hi Jodi,
Your recent post and actually nearly every post of yours, does not challenge the fact that myself and Christians all over the world believe that Jehovah is more than one person as a unity, where one has the position and true relationship of a father to another who has the position and relationship as his only begotten son. That…[Read more]

Jodi,
Can you say that Jesus is the Lord of you in the same sense as Elizabeth when Mary visited her while she was pregnant?
Luke 1 39Now at this time Mary arose and went in a hurry to the hill country, to a city of Judah, 40and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in he…[Read more]

Jodi,
You said: 29 And Jesus answered him,The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord OUR God is ONE Lord
Here is the original Greek:

Here is a more accurate translation when you consider a more literal translation to the Greek.

Hi Jodi,
The Luke 16:3 is a good verse to show that Strong’s #2962 could be lord as in human master, or Lord who has all authority in heaven and on earth. Is the Son of God the Lord of you in the sense of having all authority in heaven and on earth?

So Jodi,
Why have you been calling him “a lord” if he is “the lord?”
